What is the Monash College Diploma structure?
Monash College Diploma Part 1: Learning studies and e-learning
The Diploma Part 1 is comparable to Australia Year 12. You will undertake specialised study to understand your own preferred style of learning, the type of teaching and learning you experienced in secondary school, and how to make a smooth transition to being a successful university student.
You will be given the necessary knowledge and tools to help you become an independent learner with strong skills in critical, analytical and creative thinking and a deep understanding of research techniques. You will track your personal growth in this area through the use of e-learning portfolios. Other units provide strong grounding in your chosen discipline.
Monash College Diploma Part 2: Equivalent to first year university
In Part 2 of your Monash College diploma program you will undertake the equivalent of first-year university studies.
One advantage of the Monash College pathway is that your lecture classes are smaller than they will be at university, which allows you to make strong links with your lectures and other students.

快捷课程，有着百年历史的时髦名词：
这一二年来，快捷课程已经成为赴澳留学业内的一个时髦名词。

学生出入赴澳留学中介公司，都会听到这个名词。

什么是快捷课程呢？实际上，所谓澳大利亚的快捷课程就是澳大利亚的专科课程。

在中国本土专科课程是莘莘学子的第二选择，更不用说，对家长来说花十几万人民币去读国外读一个专科文凭了。

但是为什么澳大利亚的快捷课程如此受到越来越多学生的青睐呢？原因正如其名-快捷，省时、省钱。

快捷的-“快”：
按照传统途径，一个高中毕业的学生是需要读一年大学预科，之后凭借预科成绩升入大学的。

完成大一至大三的所有课程。

这样一共需要四年的时间，拿到本科毕业证书。

而现在的快捷课程，即利用澳大利亚专科课程的特点，直接吸收学生到政府的一些理工学院或一些私立的学院，读大专一年（或一年半）之后，凭专科的成绩，直接升入大学的二年级去。

只需要在大学里，再完成后两年的课程就可以毕业，拿学士学位了。

这样一共只需要三年时间。

快捷的“捷（节）”：
实际上，在推广中，预科、专科更象是升入大学的跳板课程。

只不过，预科跳的是大一，专科跳的是大二。

两者的起点不一样。

之所谓“快捷”显而易见，时间不单节省一年，相应的一年的生活费和学费更可以节省十二、三万元。

快捷专科课程与预科课程各领风骚：
快捷课程一定是优于预科吗？也不尽然。

如果学生想申请就读医科、教育、法律、药剂、艺术，那么，如果他/她已经错过入读澳大利亚的高中课程，那么就选读预科，从而达到是他的一个比较好的选择。

如果学生是想读会计、保险、计算机、旅游酒店管理专业，那么快捷课程是完全能够帮助他达成目的。

选择专科跳板课程不失为最好的选择。

提供快捷课程的院校：
因为快捷课程的实质就是专科文凭课程，所以提供此类快捷课程的院校，就是澳大利亚的政府或私立的一些大专院校。

一般来说，政府的专科院校一般叫做TAFE学院（政府理工学院），由于中文的翻译为，职业技术与培训院校，所以一般中国人都认为是中专。

没有TAFE标识的学院一般是私立或企业设立的培训院校或机构。

在澳大利亚有政府的一百多所及私立的此类培训机构4000多所。

他们是澳大利亚最大的教育机构群体，也是澳大利亚最具特色的教育机构。

公私立快捷课程各领风骚：
澳大利亚的公立学院一般是由州政府设立的。

这类学院全部都有TAFE字眼。

TAFE 学院开设的课程，有证书课程，文凭课程，等同于我们中国的中专及大专的结合院校。

一般来说TAFE学院开设的课程从200多种到500多种不等。

但目前，澳大利亚的TAFE学院在海外招生时，由于受到澳大利亚移民局的限制，只能把眼光放在专科这部分市场。

澳大利亚的专科学院虽多，但政府的公校却少。

政府的公立的专科院校，是澳大利亚高福利制度的一种体现，一个本国学生一年只需负担AUD600元读一个专科文凭。

所以一种政府的福利制度的体现政府的院校里就读的大部分是澳大利亚本国人。

TAFE学院，是各个州政府的资产，有自己独立的校区，独立的语言中心，其先进的教学设施及设备可与大学媲美。

由于实行广口入学，订单培养，是各州政府调节用工市场的杠杆，所以广受赞誉的是其高就业率。

只要你有亲戚或朋友在澳大利亚，向他们打听，他们都会告诉你，去学个TAFE吧，好就业。

TAFE的文凭是为澳大利亚所有大学所认可的，按照澳大利亚教育体系框架所示，TAFE的文凭及高级专科文件为所有大学所认可。

而且作为政府的公校，学费便宜。

在中国大力招生的提供快捷课程的私立学院，一般不带TAFE字眼，主要以招生海外学生为主，其优势是与后续大学紧密相联，他们把学院，建立在这些大学里面，并利用大学已有的的语言中心，提供语言教学。

他们主要以提供相当于大一的专科课程为主，为后续的大学提供其优秀的毕业生，进入其大二学习继续修学。

学费较公立院校贵1/3至2/5不等。

快捷课程的保障：
提供快捷课程的院校一般来说，与后续的大学紧密联系。

所以一般学生在申请的时候都能拿到，两个录取通知书，一个是提供快捷课程的学院的录取通知书，一个是后续大学的录取通知书。

这样能够保证学生，按照即定的课程与要求，完成大一课程后，直接升入后续大学的大二。

中国学生在报读此项课程时所应注意的事项：
1. 中国学生在报读时，应在查询提供快捷课程学校资料的同时，查阅后续大学的资料，找到相互的互为认证的依据。

同时，更好的研究课程的发展方向及专业范畴。

2. 中国学生在报读此课程时，应查询快捷课程的资料的同时，注意后续大学对于这种快报捷课程的认证性。

因为所有接受此类快捷课程的大学对于此类课程都有入学要求。

一般来说他要求读完快捷课程的学生，需要在GPA或课业成绩，等达到一定要求才可转读
中国高中毕业生计划去澳洲读本科，基本上要通过学习预科课程作为过渡课程，才能进入大一学习。

2、Diploma of Arts (Communication, Journalism and Psychology)- 文科文凭（传媒、新闻学及心理学）：可衔接：Bachelor of Arts(Global; Psychology; Communication; Journalism); Bachelor of Communication;
3、Diploma of Business-商科文凭：可衔接Bachelor of Business相关方向; Bachelor of Commerce; Bachelor of Economics；
4、Diploma of Engineering Studies-工程学文凭：可衔接Bachelor of Engineering 各个方向；
5、Diploma of Health Sciences-健康科学文凭：可衔接Bachelor of Biomedical Science; Bachelor of Nursing; Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics等；
6、Diploma of Information Technology-信息技术文凭：可衔接Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems; Bachelor of Business Information Systems
Monash College Diploma课程共分成两部分Diploma Part 1和Diploma Part 2。

Diploma Part 1相当于澳洲12年级（Year 12），Diploma Part 2相当于澳大利亚MONASH大学的第一年级课程。

学生进入哪部分课程学习，取决于学生的：1 Entry scores (要申请的Diploma 课程；学历背景；学生在哪个国家递交的申请等因素决定)

具体来说——
Diploma Part 1的入学要求：
1入学时至少16岁
2 高二课程完成，平均分80分以上，根据申请的DIPLOMA课程有特别的要求
IT和business and Commerce：高二的数学至少80分
Engineering Studies: 高二的数学和物理/化学至少80分
Arts和Art and Design Studies: 没有要求
3 雅思要求：
IT，business，Engineering 和Art and Design: 总分5.5，单科5
Arts and Health Science: 总分6.0，单科6
Diploma Part 2的入学要求：
1 入学时至少17岁
2 雅思：总分6.5 ，单科6
3高三毕业或者参加高考，平均分至少80分或者高考450分（广东地区高考650
分），另外根据申请的DIPLOMA课程还有特别的要求
IT ,Business和Commerce ：要求高三数学80分以上
Engineering Studies ：高三数学，物理/化学80分以上。

Arts：没有要求
Art and Design：要求提供一个包含10-15个作品的作品集
开学日期：每年的2月、6月和10月
学费：文凭课程第一部分学费17500澳币-21500澳币；文凭课程第二部分学费为19500澳币-25000澳币
学制：8个月
Diploma part 1：10门课程（工程9门）-完成学习并成绩合格可直接上莫纳什大学的一年级，或者继续读Diploma part 2；
Diploma part 2： 8门课程-完成课程并成绩合格可直接入读莫纳什大学二年级。
