阅读理解A2023ꞏ济南市高三检测说明文258词★★★☆☆The AIDA model is the foundation of modern marketing and advertising practice. It outlines the four basic steps used to persuade potentials to make a purchase. The first three steps lie in creating attention (A), decorating interest (I), and building desire (D) for the product, before the fourth step—the “call to action” (A)—tells them exactly how and where to buy. AIDA can channel the customer's feelings through each stage toward reaching a sale.Attracting the customer's attention is the first challenge and this may be achieved by using an attracting phrase or picture. Once someone's attention has been clutched,__it must be turned into real interest. This is best done by providing a brief description of the product's benefits to the consumer rather than simply listing the product's main features or problem-solving claims. Now, it is time to transform that interest into a desire for a product or service. This is where consumers need to believe their lives could be better by possessing the product. It could be a vital step towards turning a potential into a real customer.“Call-to-action” is where all of the initial hard work pays off and leads to the action from a potential customer. For example, they might pick up the phone to discuss the idea of a trial of the services or, alternatively, they may just buy that product or service that has been promoted to them all along. And AIDA is used to great effect in the movie industry. Movie studios begin their marketing campaigns months in advance. The campaigns develop by offering attractive flashes of the movie without giving too much away. Desire is inspired by the release of the full preview which is fully designed to show the exciting moments of the movie, from special effects to humorous lines of dialogue on the opening weekend. Advertisements in newspapers and on television focus on the movie's release, inviting the consumer to go and buy a ticket.1.What is the purpose of practising AIDA?A.To create jobs.B.To increase sales.C.To research markets.D.To introduce products.2.What does the underlined word “clutched” mean in Paragraph 2?A.Seized. B.Freed.C.Cheated. D.Affected.3.In which stage of the AIDA model may a customer call to try the service?A.Action. B.Interest.C.Desire. D.Attention.4.Why does the author mention the movie industry in the last paragraph?A.To design an AIDA model.B.To display how AIDA works.C.To show how to make a movie.D.To advertise the movie industry.B2023ꞏ济南市高三检测议论文349词★★★☆☆According to a study done by University of Michigan, shopping to reduce stress was 40 times more effective at giving people a sense of control and shoppers were three times less sad than those only looking at items.More than half of the 1,000 consumers surveyed by Credit Karma, head researcher of the study, said they have shopped to deal with feelings of stress or depression. About 48 percent of men and 31 percent of women who have stress shopping said they had purchased alcohol when stressed. About 82 percent of women spend on clothing compared to 52 percent of men. Women also lead shopping for jewellery, 42 percent, compared to 22 percent for men.In some sense, stress shopping can actually help you live a healthier life by making sure that your blood pressure is lowered. The survey found 82 percent had only positive feelings about their purchases and that the positive mood was long-lasting. However, stress shopping, for many, could grow into a drive that uses up money, causes conflict, and therefore adds great stress to life.Despite the in-time joy from purchases, stress shopping never proves a long-lasting cure to stress or depression. Actually it needs to be avoided anyhow. Whether you're purchasing presents or buying groceries, having the items you need written down will provide you with brightness while shopping. Reward yourself for sticking to your list and you'll be more likely to commit to it.In addition always think about what you struggle with most financially. Do you spend too much money at the mall? Eating out? Vacations? Make a list of where your money is going and take necessary steps to resist your desire. For example, if you spend too much money on dining out on weekends, stuff your cupboard with food on Friday. So you'll be more likely to stay in and cook. And you need to give up the need to keep up with others. Everyone's financial situation is different and comparison may lead to debt and dissatisfaction with what you already have.5.Why does the author mention those numbers in Paragraph 2?A.To support an idea.B.To attract readers.C.To call for actions.D.To introduce a topic.6.Which of the following may help deal with stress shopping?A.Stimulating desires.B.Recording spending.C.Turning to medicines.D.Comparing with others.7.What is the author's attitude to stress shopping?A.Unclear. B.Doubtful.C.Objective. D.Negative.8.What is a suitable title for the text?A.Does shopping benefit us?B.More stressed, women or men?C.Should we compare with others?D.Can stress shopping reduce stress?Ⅱ.

Many scientists today are convinced that life exists elsewhere in the universe---life probably much like that on our own planet. They reason in the following way.As far as astronomers can determine, the entire universe is built of the same matter. They have no reason to doubt that matter obeys the same laws in every part of the universe. Therefore, it is reasonable to guess that other stars, with their own planets, were born in the same way as our own solar system. What we know of life on earth suggests that life will arise wherever the proper conditions exist.Life requires the right amount and kind of atmosphere. This eliminates(除去) all those planets in the universe that are not about the same size and weight as the earth. A smaller planet would lose its atmosphere; a larger one would hold too much of it.Life also requires a steady supply of heat and light. This eliminates double stars, or stars that flare up suddenly. Only single stars that are steady sources of heat and light like our sun would qualify. Finally, life could evolve(进化) only if the planet is just the right distance from its sun. With a weaker sun than our own, the planet would have to be closer to it. With a stronger sun, it would have to be farther away.If we suppose that every star in the universe has a family of planets, then how many planets might support life? First, eliminate those stars that are not like our sun. Next eliminate most of their planets; they are either too far from or too close to their suns. Then eliminate all those planets which are not the same size and weight as the earth. Finally, remember that the proper conditions do not necessarily mean that life actually does exist on a planet. It may not have begun yet, or it may have already died out. This process of elimination seems to leave very few planets on which earthlike life might be found. However, even if life could exist on only one planet in a million, there are so many billions of planets that this would still leave a vast number on which life could exist.(1)The existence of life depends on all of the following factors EXCEPT .A.the right amount of atmosphereB.our own solar systemC.steady heat and lightD.the right distance from the sun(2)Which of the following statements is INCORRECT?A.The planet must be as big and heavy as the earth.B.Proper conditions are essential to the existence of life.C.Double stars can provide steady light and heat.D.The distance between a planet and its sun should be right.(3)What kind of planet might NOT support life?A.Most of the planets of the stars.B.Stars similar to our sun.C.Planets similar to the earth.D.Planets with proper conditions.(4)At the end of the passage the author suggests that .A.it is impossible for life to exist on planetsB.earthlike life could only exist on a few planetsC.life could exist on only one planet in a millionD.life could exist on a great number of planets【答案】(1)B(2)C(3)A(4)D【解析】【分析】本文是一篇说明文,整个宇宙都是由同一种物质构成的,物质在宇宙的每一部分都遵循同样的规律。

Encountering this situation is so uncomfortable that you would avoid meeting new people in the first place. In the past, I struggled wit h this and I even thought it had to do with my DNA or something… But later I learned that once you know how to keep those words flowing, you can meet and talk to anyone you like, which helps create great possibilities for friendship, fun and shared activities that you would otherwise have missed out on.After studying this in depth, I had different opinions and found that one of these common behaviors is the habit of filtering (过滤)--holding back from saying something until you've "checked" to make sure that what you're about to say is cool, impressive and interesting. Another problem is not learning to get in the mood for conversation. If you don't know how to change from subjects, then it can take a lot of time to warm up.It is the reflex (习惯性思维) that allows you to say whatever goes on in your mind. It's fun to realize that you're allowed to say whatever is on your mind. As long as you don't say anything that could land you in jail (监狱).All of the "Oh! That's interesting…" "Hmm, I've never heard of that" "Hmm, cool!" expressions are reactionary (保守的) bits of conversation that prove to the other person that you're really listening. This works 99% of the time. So, if you show some interest, they'll hang around and want to talk to you even more.Everyone knows that stories juice-up conversations, but most people only talk about stories of their own lives. When someone mentions something related to any of them, just tell the story, even if it's not from your life. The more interesting, stranger or more frightening they are, the harder they are to forget.(1)If people can deal with the awkward silence, they can .A. train their working skillB. improve their life qualityC. enrich their social lifeD. establish their working relationship(2)When talking with others, we should .A. feel nervousB. think twiceC. be free to expressD. avoid breaking in (3)According to the passage, what do the speakers care much about?A. The attractive topics of conversation.B. The atmosphere of the conversation.C. The listener's experiences and tastes.D. The listener's curiosity and concern.(4)What does the underlined part "juice-up conversations" mean?A. making conversations more boringB. making conversations livelierC. making conversations smootherD. making conversations more relaxing【答案】(1)C(2)C(3)D(4)B【解析】【分析】本文本文是一篇议论文,我们谈话时最大的问题之一是尴尬的沉默。

A new technology is going to ripe, one that could transform our daily lives, help to form new industries, even remove world economic powers from their present positions.Unlike the wave of industrialization that began in the West and spread later to the rest of the world, the new developments are taking place in research labs all over the globe—and Asians are in the forefront. Physicists are creating a new class of materials that display an amazing property unforeseen even two years ago—superconductivity(超导体技术).Used today only in specialized equipment, super conductors have the potential to radically change most of the electrical and electronic appliances found in the home, making them smaller, more powerful and efficient. They could free our cities of pollution by replacing petrol and diesel (柴油) vehicles with electric cars, and cut the cost of electricity. The new materials do something that even the best of conductors such as copper and silver cannot—they do away with all electrical resistance. The significances for energy storage are great. The technology is in its early stage, still accessible to countries that decide to invest brains and money. For75 years it had remained little more than a scientific curiosity with limited practical use because the phenomenon occurred only at extremely low temperatures. It was first observed in1911by a Dutch scientist named Heike Kamerlingh Onnes, who cooled mercury(水银)to temperatures below-269℃with liquid helium(氦).Then in January last year, two IBM scientists, K. Alex Muller and J.George Bednorz, found a metal oxide ceramic(氧化陶瓷)that superconducted at-243℃.Their report went largely unnoticed until last December, when it was confirmed at a scientific meeting in Boston.Today Japan, India, China and other Asian countries all have their share of experts who spend their days and nights in labs, acting as midwives( 助产士) to a new technology.(1)As is indicated in the passage, the technology of superconductivity____________.A.has already been developedB.is still under developmentC.will be used only in specialized equipmentD.will be used in daily lives in a few years(2)The new technology differs from the others in that ____________.A.it began in the East and spread later to the rest of the worldB.it began in the West and spread later to the rest of the worldC.it is being cultivated in research labs around the worldD.it is accessible to physicists who are intelligent and rich(3)From the passage,we may conclude that____________.n scientists gain the lead in the growth of the new technologyB. 阅读理解Durian(榴莲)is probably the smelliest fruit in the world, letting out an unusual unpleasant smell which would make anyone bring up. However, nobody was aware of what gave this fruit its unique smell, so a team of researchers from Singapore decided to take a look at its genome ( 基因组)and find out,Durian is well-known throughout Southeast Asia as the king of fruits, mostly because of its awful appearance and smell. However, the origin of this unpleasant smell was unknown, so researchers decided to map the genome of the fruit, and find the gene that controlled it. A group of genes, volatile sulfur compounds ( 含硫化合物),became very active in the fruit, and they were found responsible for resulting in the unpleasant smell. The fruit confuses everyone with a sulfuric smell, like rotten onions and ingredients. The smell lasts long, mostly because the fruit contains more volatile sulfur compounds. Other species usually benefit from two gene copies at most, but durian has four, leading to the striking smell. However, this smell might be an advantage for durian in the wild. Although we find it unpleasant, many animals might be attracted by it. If they eat the fruit, then they can easily spread its seeds everywhere, thus contributing to the distribution of the species. The mapping of the durian genome also showed some other information on the species. First of all, the fruit has an impressive number of genes, namely 46,000. Also, with the help of these genes, they saw how it evoked, and discovered it was related to the cacao tree. All the other discoveries have been published in the journal Nature Genetics.Despite the striking smell, many people actually enjoy eating the fruit. However, not all durian species are edible, and some of them may even cause damage to our health, Even so, the fruit is often imported, significantly contributing to the economy.(1)What give durian its unique smell?A. A dirty stream, for example, often became clear after flowing through plants and along rocks where tiny creatures lived. When he got older, John started to wonder if this process could be used to clean up the messes people were making. After studying agriculture, medicine, and fisheries in college, John went back to observing nature and asking questions. Why can certain plants trap harmful bacteria (细菌)? Which kinds of fish can eat cancer-causing chemicals? With the right combination of animals and plants, he figured, maybe he could clean up waste the way nature did. He decided to build what he would later call an eco-machine.The task John set for himself was to remove harmful substances from some sludge (污泥). First, he constructed a series of clear fiberglass tanks connected to each other. Then he went around to local ponds and streams and brought back some plants and animals. He placed them in the tanks and waited. Little by little, these different kinds of life got used to one another and formed their own ecosystem. After a few weeks, John added the sludge. He was amazed at the results. The plants and animals in the eco-machine took the sludge as food and began to eat it! Within weeks, it had all been digested, and all that was left was pure water.Over the years, John has taken on many big jobs. He developed a greenhouse-like facility that treated sewage (污水) from 1,600 homes in South Burlington. He also designed an eco-machine to clean canal water in Fuzhou, a city in southeast China."Ecological design" is the name John gives to what he does. If you’re lucky, there might be a pocket park near where you live, but it’s unusual to find places in a city that are relatively wild.Past research has found health and wellness benefits of nature for humans, but a new study shows that wildness in urban areas is extremely important for human well-being.The research team focused on a large urban park. They surveyed several hundred park-goers, asking them to submit a written summary online of a meaningful interaction they had with nature in the park. The researchers then examined these submissions, coding(编码) experiences into different categories. For example, one participant’s experience of "We sat and listened to the waves at the beach for a while" was assigned the categories “sitting at beach” and “listening to waves.”Across the 320 submissions, a pattern of categories the researchers call a “nature language” began to emerge. After the coding of all submissions, half a dozen categories were noted most often as important to visitors. These include encountering wildlife, walking along the edge of water, and following an established trail.Naming each nature experience creates a usable language, which helps people recognize and take part in the activities that are most satisfying and meaningful to them. For example, the experience of walking along the edge of water might be satisfying for a young professional on a weekend hike in the park. Back downtown during a workday, they can enjoy a more domestic form of this interaction by walking along a fountain on their lunch break."We’re trying to generate a language that helps bring the human-nature interactions back into our daily lives. And for that to happen, we also need to protect nature so that we can interact with it," said Peter Kahn, a senior author of the study.1.What phenomenon does the author describe at the beginning of the text?A. Pocket parks are now popular.B. Wild nature is hard to find in cities.C. Many cities are overpopulated.D. People enjoy living close to nature.2.Why did the researchers code participant submissions into categories?A. To compare different types of park-goers.B. To explain why the park attracts tourists.C. To analyze the main features of the park.D. To find patterns in the visitors’ summaries.3.What can we learn from the example given in paragraph 5?A. Walking is the best way to gain access to nature.B. Young people are too busy to interact with nature.C. The same nature experience takes different forms.D. The nature language enhances work performance.4.What should be done before we can interact with nature according to Kahn?A. Language study.B. Environmental conservation.C. Public education.D. Intercultural communication.

One of the biggest problems when we are talking is the awkward silence. The listener's curiosity and concern.(4)What does the underlined part "juice-up conversations" mean?A. making conversations more boringB. making conversations livelierC. making conversations smootherD. making conversations more relaxing【答案】(1)C(2)C(3)D(4)B【解析】【分析】本文本文是一篇议论文,我们谈话时最大的问题之一是尴尬的沉默。

I】During the rosy years of elementary school(小学), I enjoyed sharing my dolls and jokes, which allowed me to keep my high social status. I was the queen of the playground. Then came my tweens and teens, and mean girls and cool kids. They rose in the ranks not by being friendly but by smoking cigarettes, breaking rules and playing jokes on others, among whom I soon found myself.Popularity is a well-explored subject in social psychology. Mitch Prinstein, a professor of clinical psychology sorts the popular into two categories: the likable and the status seekers. The likables’ plays-well-with-others qualities strengthen schoolyard friendships, jump-start interpersonal skills and, when tapped early, are employed ever after in life a nd work. Then there’s the kind of popularity that appears in adolescence: status born of power and even dishonorable behavior.Enviable as the cool kids may have seemed, Dr. Prinstein’s studies show unpleasant consequences. Those who were highest in status in high school, as well as those least liked in elementary school, are “most likely toengage(从事)in dangerous and risky behavior.”In one study, Dr. Prinstein examined the two types of popularity in 235 adolescents, scoring the least liked, the most liked and the highest in status based on student surveys(调查研究). “We found that the least well-liked teens had become more aggressive over time toward their classmates. But so had those who were high in status. It clearly showed that while likability can lead to healthy adjustment, high status has just the opposite effect on us."Dr. Prinstein has also found that the qualities that made the neighbors want you on a play date-sharing, kindness, openness — carry over to later years and make you better able to relate and connect with others. In analyzing his and other research,Dr. Prinstein came to another conclusion: Not only is likability related to positive life outcomes, but it is also responsible for those outcomes, too. "Being liked creates opportunities forlea rning and for new kinds of life experiences that help somebody gain an advantage, ” he said.32. Many people have long dreamed of being able to fly around as simply as riding a bicycle. Yet the safety and strength of a flying bike was always a big problem. Over the past 10 years, developments in technology have moved the dream of personal flying vehicles closer to reality. Now, two groups of inventors say such vehicles may be available soon. The British company Malloy Aeronautics has developed a prototype (原型) of its flying bicycle. Grant Stapleton, marketing sales director of Malloy Aeronautics, says the Hoverbike is able to get in and out of small spaces very quickly. It can be moved across continents very quickly because it can be folded and packed, he adds.Mr. Stapleton says safety was the company's main concern. He says the designers solved the safety issue by using overlapping rotors ( 交叠式旋翼 )to power the vehicle. The company is testing a full-size prototype of the Hoverbike, which will most likely be used first by the police and emergency rescue teams. In New Zealand, the Martin Aircraft Company is also testing a full-size prototype of its personal flying device, called the Jetpack. It can fly for more than 30 minutes, up to 1,000 meters high and reach a speed of 74 kilometers per hour.Peter Coker is the CEO of Martin Aircraft Company. He said the Jetpack “is built around safety from the start. In his words, reliability is the most important element of it. We have safety built into the actual structure itself, very similar to a Formula O ne racing car.”The Jetpack uses a gasoline-powered engine that produces two powerful jet streams. Mr. Coker says it also has a parachute (降落伞) that can be used should there be an emergency. “It starts to work at very low altitude and actually saves bo th the aircraft and the pilot,” he adds. Mr. Coker says the Jetpack will be ready for sale soon.(1)We can learn from the passage that the Hoverbike .A. can hardly get in and out of small spaces quicklyB. can fly for over 30 minutes, up to 1,000 meters highC. has been used by the police and emergency rescue teamsD. can be transported quickly after being folded and packed(2)The writer uses the example of For One racing car to show that .A. the Jetpack is very safe and reliableB. the engine of the Jetpack is powerfulC. the actual structure of the Jetpack is uniqueD. the Jetpack can reach a great speed and height(3)The underlined word “it” in the last paragraph refers to.A. the jet streamB. the engineC. the JetpackD. the parachute (4)What is the authors main purpose of writing the passage?A. A car dealership in my hometown of Albuquerque was selling six to eight new cars a day. I was also told that 72 percent of this dealership's first-time visitors returned for a second visit.I was curious. How does a car dealership get 72 percent of its first-time visitors to return? And how can they sell six to eight cars a day in a declining car market? When I walked into Saturn of Albuquerque that Friday, the staff there didn't know me from Adam; yet they shared with me their pricing policy, the profit margin on every model, and staff income. They even opened their training manuals for my review and invited me back on Saturday if I wanted more information. On Sunday, the day after my second visit to the Saturn store, my wife, Jane, and I were walking as we frequently do. On this particular June morning, Jane gently slipped her hand in mine and said tenderly, "I don't know if you remember, but today's my fifth anniversary of being cancer-free." I was surprised, partially because I was embarrassed that I had forgotten and, partially because.... Well, I didn't know what to do with Jane's information. The next day, Monday, Jane went off to work teaching school. Still not knowing what to do to mark this special occasion, I did the most impetuous thing I've ever done in my life: I bought a new Saturn. I didn't pick the color or the model, but I paid cash and told them I'd bring Jane in on Wednesday at 4:30. I told them why I was buying the car.On Tuesday, it dawned on me that Jane always wanted a white car. I called the sales consultant at Saturn, and I asked him if he had anything white in the store. He said he had one left but he couldn't guarantee it'd still be available on Wednesday at 4:30 because they were selling so fast. I said I'd take my chances and asked him to put it in the showroom.Wednesday came. Unexpectedly, someone in our family was admitted to the hospital. So, it wasn't until 9:30 Saturday morning when we finally made our way to the Saturn store. Jane had never been in a Saturn store. When we went through the front door, the Lord took control of her feet and her mouth. She saw that little white Saturn coupe all the way across the showroom floor. She quickly passed a multi-colored sea of automobiles, sat in the little white Saturn and said, "Oh, what a pretty little car. Can I have a new car?" I said, "No. Not until our son graduates from college." She said, "I'm sick and tired of driving that old Dodge, I want a new car." I said, "I promise, just three more semesters and he'll be out."Next, Jane walked around to the front of the car. As she looked it over, she let out the most blood-curdling, shrill scream I'd ever heard in 29 years of marriage. Now, before I tell you why Jane screamed, let me tell you what the sales consultant had done. He had ordered a large, professionally engraved sign (white letters on blue). The sign stood alone on the hood of the little white Saturn coupe. It said "Congratulations, Jane. This car is yours. Five years cancer-free. Let's celebrate life. From Team Saturn"Every employee at Saturn of Albuquerque had signed the back of that sign.Jane saw it, screamed, collapsed in my arms and cried loudly. I didn't know what to do. I was intears. I took out my invoice (发票) from the previous Monday, pointing to the white coupe, said, "No, honey, this car isn't yours. I bought you this one." I tapped the invoice with my index finger. Jane said, "No, I want this one right here."While this conversation was going on, there was no one in the store. The sales consultant had arranged it so that we could share the moment alone. Even so, it's impossible to have a lot of privacy when so many people are standing outside the showroom windows looking in. When Jane screamed and collapsed in my arms, I saw everybody outside applaud and begin to cry.(1)Why did the writer visit the Saturn of Albuquerque that Friday?A. He wanted to collect some raw materials for his story.B. He was asked to write a report about that car store.C. He was told the car store was launching a price reduction activity.D. He simply wanted to see why the car store enjoyed so much popularity.(2)Why did the writer buy a new Saturn?A. Because his car was so old that he didn't want to drive it any longer.B. Because Jane wanted a new car for her fifth anniversary of being cancer-free.C. Because he wanted to mark his wife's fifth anniversary of being cancer-free.D. Because he thought the car could be helpful to his wife's recovery from cancer.(3)When did the writer decide upon the white car?A. On the next Tuesday.B. On the first Friday.C. On the second Wednesday.D. On the first Saturday.(4)How did Jane feel when she saw the sign on the car?A. Surprised and thrilled.B. Angry but satisfied.C. Shocked and frightened.D.

The average American child spends three to five hours a day watching TV. In 1961, the average child began to watch television at age three; however, today it is nine months. Yet, most parents think that television has bad influence on their children. For example, in the early 1970s, my parents believed that my bad eyesight was the result of sitting too close to the screen, and they therefore made my stay at least six feet from it. Today, most people have no such worry, but many new ridiculous (荒谬的) sayings have appeared:*TV makes kids stupid. Many children watch more educational programs when they are pre-schoolers. When they grow up, they can read more books and have much better ideas to solve difficult problems than other children.*TV makes kids violent. The real story is not so simple. Hundreds of studies show that watching violence on TV makes children more aggressive (好斗的). But a study of over 5,000 children also finds that some positive programs make children kinder.
