TERRY: Yes. I am interested in applying for graduate school here.

SELENE: Alright. Do you have some specific questions?

TERRY: Not really. I am in Madison visiting a friend.

SELENE: Have you sent in an application already?

TERRY: No, I haven't.

SELENE: Well, I'm sorry to tell you,

but the deadline for applications has already passed.

TERRY: I'm sorry. What does that mean?

SELENE: That means it is already too late to apply for school this fall semester.

TERRY: Really?

SELENE: Yes. The Graduate School accepts no applications after January 29th.

And it is already February fifth.

So if you apply, you must apply to begin first semester next year.

TERRY: That is January next year. Yes?

SELENE: That's right.

TERRY: Alright. Well, can you tell me what I need in my application?

SELENE: All the information is included in the application packet.

SELENE: All applicants to the graduate school must have three letters of recommendation.

They must have official university trans cripts sent directly from their previous school.

TERRY: I can't send my trans cripts myself?

SELENE: No. Your school must send them to us.

Also, all graduate students must have GRE or GMAT scores sent to us by the testing center.

TERRY: How much is the application fee for applying to graduate school?

SELENE: The application fee is $40.

TERRY: Alright. Give me one application packet please.

I'll take it back and start to fill it out.

SELENE: Here you are.

b： i sometimes play table tennis and sometimes play basketball.

b： i've spent so much time on club activities during the four years. however, i've never missed any of my classes. but i think my academic records would have been much better if i had put more time and energy into studying, looking back on it.

a： is there any teacher who impresses you very deeply during your student life?

b： yes. our maths professor has left a deep impression on me. in class, he is responsible in teaching and very strict with us students. but out of class, he treats us on his own sons and daughters. we all like him very much.
