A brain–computer interface (BCI), often called a mindmachine interface (MMI), or sometimes called a brain– machine interface (BMI), is a direct communication pathway between the brain and an external device.

to measure EEG from scalp (non-invasive) or brain surface (invasive); Signal recording, amplification, digitization;

EEG . An electroencephalogram is a measure of
the brain's voltage fluctuations as detected from scalp electrodes. It is an approximation of the cumulative electrical activity of neurons.
Pre-processing:
to improve signal-to-noise ratio;to improve signal-tointerference ratio
