Teachers Should Assign More Homework to Students As our society develops, more and more children think it is no longer necessary to study hard. Then they start to think that students should not assign so much homework, even no homework ever. However, I think teachers should assign more homework to students.

The followings are my reasons.

To begin with and the most important, doing more homework is useful for students to understand what they have learned. There is a Chinese proverb: “Consider the past, and you shall know the future.” Maybe when you were in class, you can’t understand the words which were said by your teacher clearly, but by doing more homework about that point you will really got the knowledge. Also, maybe you can realize some different ideas about that point.

Another reason which I think is very suited to the younger generation, is that more homework will keep students busy so they can’t waste time playing games, or another nonsensical things. Nowadays, many people say we have to meet the increasing competitive pressure of society, and then under such pressure, students, such as the younger generation, should work hard. But I believe only when we have to be responsible for ourselves can we feel the pressure from society, and then when we are student, we will waste time and do many nonsensical things. So doing more homework will keep us from too far behind other students.

Finally doing more homework will make students clever. Maybe it sounds a little ridiculous, but that’s true. Just as the first reason said, by doing so much homework,

we will understand what we have learned deeply. Then we will resolve the difficult questions our teachers have asked unhurriedly. The reason is we not only prepare it sufficiently, but also got it in our mind. As last, teacher will find students are so smart. And you will be very proud of that.

As a result, more homework is good for students understanding knowledge, studying with undivided attention and being clever.

For my first reason, there has one proverb saying: Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. This theory has been confirmed by many people. This is also the same as our study. When we practice one difficult problem which we haven’t understand after class, and find many related material, then we will know that the theory had been printed on our book are correct, also, we will remember them more strongly. Practice makes perfect, maybe after more practice, you will find the other easy way to due to the problems. Thus, only by doing more homework can we learn the knowledge better.

For my second reason, I want to take me for example. Our teachers are not assigning us very much work, I always do things like watching movies, reading novels, and so on. And I wait do my homework until the last moment. Almost all of my rest time spent to do so many nonsensical things by me. However, if my teachers assign more homework to me, I will have to do them, then I will have no time to do other sense-able things, and I believe my grade will also be improved.

For my last reason, I want to take these students who are round us. As we all know, most of the excellent students did more homework in their daily life. When we
