锦瑟Jewelled Zither

锦瑟无端五十弦,一弦一柱思Vain are the jeweled zither’s fifty strings:
华年。
Each string, each stop, bears thought of
vanished things.庄生晓梦迷蝴蝶,望帝春心托
生烟。From sunburnt emerald let vapour rise.
Such feeling cannot be recalled again;此情可待成追忆,只是当时已It seemed long lost e’en when it was felt
惘然。then.

The sage of hisቤተ መጻሕፍቲ ባይዱloved butterflies day -
dreaming:
The King that sighed his soul into a bird:沧海月明珠有泪,蓝田日暖玉
生烟。
Tears that are pearls, in ocean moonlight
springs:
Dim morning dream to be a butterfly;庄生晓梦迷蝴蝶,望帝春心托
杜鹃。Amorous heart poured out in cuckoo’s cry.
In moonlit pearlssee tears in mermaid’s
eyes;
沧海月明珠有泪,蓝田日暖玉
streaming:
Jade mists the sun distils from Sapphire
Sword:
此情可待成追忆,只是当时已
惘然。
What need their memory to recall today?
