石油树脂是以石油裂解过程中副产物C5/C9馏分为原料,经前处理、聚合、蒸馏等工艺生产的一种热塑性树脂。石油树脂具有调节黏性和热稳定性好的特点,主要功能为提供增黏及润湿效果。石油树脂一般不单独使用,而作为促进剂、调节剂、改性剂和其他树脂一起使用。石油树脂根据原料的不同分为C5石油树脂、C9石油树脂、C5/C9共聚石油树脂及加氢石油树脂。不同种类的石油树脂具有一定的互通性,在某些领域可以互相替代,但在各个应用领域也有其独特性。
C5石油树脂:软化点低,颜色浅,不饱和度偏低,与其他树脂、橡胶等相容性好;主要应用在压敏胶、热熔胶、路标漆、合成橡胶、子午线轮胎等领域,也用在油漆、油墨等领域。
C9石油树脂:软化点高,颜色深,不饱和度较高,耐候性较好,与橡胶、SIS等相容性较差;主要应用在油漆、油墨等领域,在热熔胶、路标漆、橡胶等领域也有应用。
热聚主要用于粘合剂、橡胶、子午线轮胎等行业。
冷聚主要用于油漆、油墨、粘合剂/冷聚的价格一般要比热聚的贵上几千块
C5/C9共聚石油树脂:兼具C5C9石油树脂的特性,软化点相对较高,相容性相对较好;主要应用于热熔胶、合成橡胶、轮胎等领域。
加氢石油树脂:不饱和度低,无色,无特殊气味,耐候性、稳定性、相容性较好;主要应用在高档的涂料,彩色油墨、胶黏剂、马路标线漆等行业。
综上所述,C5石油树脂软化点低、气味小,粘结力高,主要应用在压敏胶、热熔胶、路标漆等领域;C9石油树脂气味相对较大、软化点高、相容性较差,主要应用在油漆、油墨和防腐涂料等领域;
经过加氢改性的石油树脂,使原有的双键和苯环饱和,并脱除树脂在聚合过程中残留的卤化物和硫、氮杂质。加氢后可以变成白色或透明,透明性在热熔胶、胶黏剂和PP薄膜改性剂等应用中十分重要,另外,加氢还可以改进粘合性、耐候性及用于热熔胶的EV A的相容性。因此,加氢石油树脂广泛应用于热熔胶、尿布及卫生用品的胶黏剂、新型涂料、油墨、高速公路路标漆等领域。
