音乐剧是起源于英国19世纪末的一种歌剧形式。音乐剧一般主要凭借音乐、戏剧以及舞蹈来描写人物形象、表现人物心理以及展现人物情感和戏剧冲突的。音乐剧在世界各地尤其是美国纽约的百老汇和英国伦敦西区演出甚密。
