AD9014 Operation Guide

（Please read it carefully before using）

一、Equipment general states

AD9014 is intelligent controller multi-protocol receiver/driver device with preset position setting and

used as a front control device with DVR. It can drive

Camera Pan/Tilt and has preset position setting and

use-defined programmable auto tour functions.

Operation is simple and easy.

二、Features

1. 128 exact preset position setting;

2. A user-defined programmable auto tour (supporting

10 preset positions and stopping at each preset position

for 5 seconds);

3. Automatically calibrate the position by checking the

driver signaling;

4. Support PELCO-D and PELOC-P protocols and baud

rate can be set into1200, 2400, 4800 or 9600;

5. Support RS485 communication and transport distance

can be up to 1200 meters;

三、Preset position setting

1. When power is on it will do auto-check and enters the

first preset position;

2. When it works long time maybe position error exists,

you can calibrate the zero point manually;

3. Manually turn right to right limited position then turn

down to below limited position;

4. For PELCO-D/P protocol if you want to call the 34th

preset position please input ‘back to zero’ command;

5. When one preset position is being executed it can not

respond switching any other preset position command;

6. How to set and call preset position please refer to

other control devices (such as keyboard) manual;

7. About auto tour please refer to keyboard manual or

call the 64th preset position;

五、Notice

1. Do not connect the ‘auto’ line of the Pan/Tilt;

2. When Pan/Tilt can not be connected rightly it can not

respond UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT commands;

3. Input voltage is 24V AC;

4. Please set right baud rate and address;

5. For good communication please make sure RS485

connection is good including RS485 ‘S’ point is connected to the ground and RS485 lines is far from high voltage or current signaling, and if more than 10 exist in your system it is suggested to use a RS-485 divider;

RS485-A/B is connected to a control device(such as keyboard or DRV) RS485-A/B with shielded twinning lines. The maximum length of RS-485 line should not exceed 1200 meters. If more than 16 AD9014 in a system for improving systematic stability we suggest to use a control signal amplifier/divider.

If in your system there are many AD9014 the last AD9014 RS485 input impedance must be 120 Ohm, so you must set impedance select switch(JUMP1) to connection state.
