1.Add up

把......加起来

Please add up the scores and we'll see who won.

把你们的得分加起来，我们就可以看出谁赢了。

Add 的用法

(1)增加；增添

Add up to 加起来等于；总计；结果是

Add A to B/add A to B 把 A 和 B 加起来

Add to 增加；增添

Please add some salt to this dish.

往这道菜里搁点盐。

(2)补充说；继续说；其后常跟that 从句或是和直接引语连用He added that they return soon.

他补充说他很快就回来。

I have nothing to add to my statement.

我对我的陈述没有什么可补充的。

2.upset

(1)adj. 心烦意乱的；不愉快的；肠胃不适

Be upset about/over sth. 为某事烦心。

Be upset that...心烦

There is no point getting upset about it.

犯不着为此事烦心。

(2)使不安

It upsets sb. that 让某人心烦的是

It upsets sb. to do sth. 做某事让某人不快

It upsets me to think of her all alone in that big house.

想到她孤身一人守着那所大房子，我就感到不舒服

3.Ignore

Vt. 忽视；对 ...不理睬；不顾

He had completely ignored her remark, preferring his own theory.他完全不理睬她的评论，认为自己说的更有道理。

Ignorant adj. 不知的；无知的

Ignorance n. 无知；愚昧

Be ignorant of/about sth. 对某事不了解

Be in ignorance of sth.不知某事；对某事不了解

4.Calm

V.使平静；使镇静；安静

The excited girl quickly calmed down.

那个激动的女孩很快的平静了下来。

adj.镇静的；沉着的

Her voice was surprisingly calm down.

她的声音出人意料地平静。

Calm down 平静下来；镇静下来

Calm、quiet、still 、silent 的区别

Calm 平静的；沉着的；指无风浪或是人的不激动

You should keep calm even in face of danger.

即使面对危险，你也应当保持镇静。

Quiet 宁静的；安静的；指没有声音，不吵闹或是心理没有烦恼。His health turned better after a quiet holiday abroad.

在国外度过一个宁静的假期之后他的健康状况有所好转。

Still 静止的；不动的；指没有运动或动作的状态。

Keep still when I take a photo of you.

Silent 寂静的；沉默的；不出声的；指没有声音或是不讲话、

He was silent for a moment,and then began his answer.

5.concern

vt. 关心；挂念。常用于 concern oneself with/about sb./sth结.构中He concerned himself about his son's future.

他关心他儿子的将来。

vt. 关系到；影响到

That doesn't concern us.

那与我们无关。

n.关系；利害关系；担心；忧虑

concerned忧虑的；担忧的；有关的；涉及的

be concerned about 为...担心

be concerned with 与...有关

concerning 关于；有关的 prep.

6.Go through

(1).经历；经受

How does she keep smiling after all she has gone through.

她经历了这一切之后怎么还能保持微笑。

(2).仔细检查；审查

They went through our luggage.

他们仔细检查我们的行李。

(3)浏览；翻阅

We spent several days going through all related reference materials.我们花了几天时间查阅了所有相关资料。

(4)通过；穿过

The rope is too thick to go through the hole .

绳子太粗，穿不过这个孔。

(5)完成；做成

How long will it take you to go through the book?

你要花多长时间完成这本书

(6)花完；用掉

I've gone through all the envelopes I bought last week.

我已经用完了我上周买的所有信封。
