Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students

“How much do you think this glass weighs?”

'50gms!' .... '100gms!' .....'125gms'

..the students answered.

一位教授开始讲课之前拿起一个杯子, 里面有半杯水他问学生:

“你们说这杯子多重啊? ”

“50克! ”.... “100克! ”..... “125克”

… 学生们回答

“I really don't know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is: What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”

'Nothing'…..the students said.

教授说: “其实我也不知道杯子多重, 不过,我的问题是,

假如我举着杯子长达几分钟, 就怎么样? ”

学生们都说: “没什么! ”

'Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?' the professor asked. 'Your arm would begin to ache' said one of the student

“好! 那么一个小时呢? ”教授问

“你的手会开始酸痛. ”学生答

“You're right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”

“Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”

“你说对了! 那么, 假如我举着杯子一整天呢? ”

“那么, 你的手会麻痹, 肌肉严重酸痛, 甚至失去知觉. 你可能要找医生治理呢! ”

“Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?”asked the professor.“No”…. Was the answer.

“非常好!但是, 整个过程中, 杯子有改变吗? ”教授问

“没有! ”

“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?”

The students were puzzled.

“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.“Put the glass down!” said one of the students

“那么, 导致手痛的是什么? ”

学生们迷惑了

“我怎样可以解脱我的痛苦呢? ”

“放下杯子啊! ”

“Exactly!” said the professor.

Life's problems are something like this.

Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.

Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.

Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.教授说: “对了!

人生的问题正是这样. 承担几分钟还可以!

承担久了, 我们会麻痹, 再久了我们严重酸痛.

然后, 我们甚至失去知觉. 还可能要找医生治理. ”

It's important to think of the challenges or problems in your life,

but EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to …PUT THEM DOWN' at the end of every day before You go to sleep.

That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!

思考我们生活的挑战既然重要, 可是…

更重要的是要拿得起, 放得下. 每天睡觉前, 我们要把重担放下. 这样的话, 我们就不会受压. 每天早上醒来的时候, 都充满活力的面对和处理生活带来的挑战
