一、数词的概念：表示数量和顺序的词叫数词。

二、数词的分类：数词分为基数词和序数词。基数词表示数目。序数词表示顺序。

三、数词的基本用法：

a. 基数词的用法:

1. 表示房间、电话、门牌等的号码。

例如：电话号码：7521346: seven five two one three four six

102房间：Room One O Two 11路公共汽车：No. Eleven Bus

2. 表示年代、年龄、时刻等。

例如：1998年：nineteen ninety-eight(先读前两位，再读后两位)

2009年：two thousand and nine 12岁：twelve years old

8:00: eight/eight o’ciock 1:30: one thirty 2:40: two forty 3:45: three forty-five

★时间和日期的表达

有两种时间表达法：

A）直接读写数词。如：9:15 nine fifteen 10:30 ten thirty 11:45 eleven forty-five

7:05 seven o five 2:25 two twenty-five 5:55 five fifty-five

B）借助past和to来表达。past一般用于30分钟以内（含30分钟）的时间表达；to一般用于超过30分钟的时间表达。一刻钟可以用a quarter表示，半小时可以用half表示。

如：9:15 a quarter past nine 10:30 half past ten 11:45 a quarter to twelve

1. 表示顺序时用序数词，前面要加上定冠词the.

例如：January is the first month of a year.(一月是一年中的第一个月)

2. 表示日期时按月、日、年或日、月、年的顺序来表示，日子习惯上用序数词来表示。

例如：December 25th is Christmas Day.

★日期的表达：①月份+（the）+序数词如：November (the) 10th ②the+序数词+of+月份。如：the third of June六月三日

3. 基数词也可以表示顺序。只需将基数词放在它所修饰的名词之后(名词需大写) 即可，不需要添加定冠词。
