定语从句

定语从句是高中英语教学的重点、难点，也是高考考查的热点。综观近几年高考英语试题，几乎各地考卷都考查了定语从句或容易混淆的句型。本文拟结合最近几年的高考试题，对定语从句的考查热点进行分析和归纳，以助复习参考。

一、关系代词和关系副词的正确选择。

选择关系代词还是关系副词，主要根据先行词在定语从句中充当的成分来决定。如果它在句中作主语、宾语、表语或定语，则用关系代词who(m),which, that, as, whose；如果作状语，则用关系副词when, where, why.

二、考查when, where的特殊意义

when引导的先行词不仅是moment, day, month, year, time等明显的时间名词，也可以是隐形的如occasion, age；where引导的先行词不仅是place, room, factory, country等明显的时间名词，也可以是隐形的如case, point, situation，activity。有时也可用介词+which。

三、考查介词+关系代词

当关系代词作介词宾语，且该介词不和从句的谓语构成固定短语时，介词可以提前，这样就出现―介词+关系代词型‖定语从句。先行词指物，用―介词+which‖；指人则用―介词+whom‖。
