• Formation of hydrates in sub-sea Production Riser completely stopped production • Attempts over a four month period to re-establish production were unsuccessful
• Pre job modelling confirmed friction reducers necessary due to difficult saddle back profile with inclinations of up to 165 deg .
Objectives:
NOV Solutions • Remove hydrates without having to retrieve or replace the riser
• Minimise CT tripping inside flexible riser

• Pump ethylene glycol to remove hydrates
• Use Andergauge AG-itator as method of friction reduction to get
CT to hydrate plug
