关于学生上课外辅导班的英语作文My Days at Tutoring SchoolHi there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. I go to Oak Grove Elementary School and I'm in the 4th grade. I really like school and my favorite subjects are math and science. However, sometimes the work can be pretty hard for me. That's why my parents decided to send me to an after-school tutoring program a few times a week. At first, I wasn't too excited about having to go to more "school" after my regular school day was done. But now I actually really enjoy going to tutoring! Let me tell you all about it.The tutoring center I go to is called "Brain Builders Tutoring." It's in a little office building not too far from my school. When I get out of my regular school at 3pm, my mom picks me up and we drive over to Brain Builders. There are a bunch of other kids there too, from different elementary schools around the area.As soon as I walk in, I go to my cubicle and put my backpack and jacket away. My cubicle has my name on it and a cute little calendar/whiteboard thing where I can write messages and draw pictures. Then I grab a healthy snack and a drink from the snackarea they have set up. My favorite snacks are the apple sauce pouches and the crackers.After snack time, we gather on the carpet for a group lesson. Depending on the day, we might do a reading lesson, a writing lesson, or sometimes even a fun science experiment! The teachers are really engaging and make it interesting. We get to discuss the topics as a group which I like. Sometimes we even play educational games or sing songs to help us learn.Then after the group lesson, we break out into smaller groups for more individualized tutoring time. This is when we really buckle down and work on the subjects we need more help with. For me, that's usually math. We go over homework problems, or the tutors re-teach us concepts we haven't fully understood yet. I really appreciate the one-on-one time because the tutors can spot exactly where I'm getting confused. The tutors are all really smart and patient too.My favorite tutor is Mrs. Sarah. She's a college student studying education and she's really nice. She makes learning math feel like solving fun puzzles or mysteries instead of just doing a bunch of boring equations. I remember one time I was having a really hard time understanding fractions. Mrs. Sarah brought in these color blocks and had me physically split theminto fractions to visualize the concepts. That really clicked for me! Now when we work on fractions I'm able to picture those blocks in my head.In our small group time, we also get to do fun educational computer games and activities. I like the math games where you can earn points and try to beat your own high score. There's a geography game that I enjoy too where you have to put the states in the right place on the map. I find myself looking forward to that part after we've worked hard on our main subjects.After our tutoring lessons, we get some free time at the end to work on homework from our regular school. I like this because if I get stuck on something, I have the tutors right there to ask for help. My parents really appreciate this homework time too because it means I don't have to spend as much time working on homework after getting home in the evenings. I can relax more once I get home.The tutoring day flies by really quickly! Around 6pm, my dad comes to pick me up from Brain Builders. I leave feeling happy because I know I learned a lot and got myself ahead. I feel a lot more confident in subjects like math now compared to before I started tutoring.Even though it means I have a longer day, I don't mind going to tutoring at all anymore. It's become a fun routine for me! Plus, I've made some new friends with the kids in my tutoring groups. We always laugh and encourage each other. And the best part is, my grades have really improved a lot. My parents are so proud of me and I feel proud of myself too. I'm working hard but in a fun, low-pressure environment.I'd definitely recommend after-school tutoring to any other kid, even if you don't think you need it at first. You might be surprised by how much you can learn and how much more confidence you'll gain. Having those extra few hours a week of focused learning has made such a big difference for me.
