Ex1:
From the reading passage, a guideline for taking a patient’s medical history is provided.
In the lecture/listening/speech, the professor gives 2 examples to support/develop the reading passage.
In the first place, the patients know their body best but it isn’t always to simple to get answers for seemingly simple questions.
Second of all, what the patient doesn’t know, for example no knowledge of biological family,
gender related issues and lack of memeory, might effect a medical history.
Ex2
From the reading passage, a background for the origin of fossil fuels is offered.
In the lecture, the professor gives two examples to support a different idea.
To begin with, the natural gas provides food for the bacterium that live at great depth of the earth. To continue with, the oil that is produced as a by product of bacteria accounts for the existence of organic matter in fossil fuels.
Ex3
From the reading passage, an introduction to the origin and characteristics of glaciers is supplied. In the lecture, the professor gives 2 examples to support the formation and behavior of glaciers.
At the outset, through compression, the accumulation of snow in layers contributes to snow flakes transforming into ice granules and eventually forming into glaciers.
Moving on, as the glacial ice grows it may widen, thicken or advance. Conversely, if more ice is lost than formed, the glacier shrinks as the lower ice layers may melt or evaporate thus linking global warming and raising sea levels
Ex 4
From the reading passage, a presentation of the effects of solar flares is given.
In the lecture, the professor gives examples to support practical effects of solar flares.
at the onset, human harm has been avoided by adjusting to the solar activities that have also caused costly electrical disruptions in our daily lives.
Following, the cause of ozone depletion from super flares on earth can slso lead to a change in climate activity such as the little ice age in Europe.

Personal choice 20s
Ex 1
The woman wants to go the concert with her friends, but she doesn’t have enough money to do so. In order to solve this problem, the man suggests 2 possibilities. First he said to borrow money from parents and second, he said to borrow money from friends. Personally/from my eye,/from my perspective, I recommend that the woman borrow money from her parents. By doing so, there would be less pressure to pay the money back in time.
EX 2
The woman need to accept summer job, but she can’t decide which job will bring the best experience and benefit.
In aid to solve this issue, the man suggests 2 potential solutions first he said to flip a coin when both choices are equally good. Second, he said to compare the pros and cons of both choices and match them with opinions to specific goals.
Individually, I recommend that the woman consider her choices thoroughly. The reason being, carefully considering the suitable benefits with her intuition and experience, the woman can safely decide which job to accept.
EX3
The woman has a choice between 2 houses, but she can’t make up her mind on which house has better conditions suitable to her situation.
To help, the man advises 2 suggestions, first he said to chose the more expensive house closer to campus, secondly, he said to even out other expenses like going out less.
Independently, I recommend that the woman live in proximity to her school. As a result, saving time on travel distances will bring her more freedom and flexibility for her priorities.
Ex 4
The woman is debating with courses she should take to strengthen her program, but she is also considering courses she would rather take out interest.
To lend a hand, the man provides 2 recommendations. First he said to sacrifice her courses of interest and finish her requirements. Secondly, he said by completing her priorities , she could look forward to courses of interest.
Form my perspective, I recommend that the woman work hard on fulfilling her priorities for the future at the same time, she would be building a path of freedom towards choosing what she is truly interested in.

In this lecture, the professor introduces 2 usages for a new invention of x-ray technology. Initially, the laser-beam-like stat scan machine and it’s linear slot scanning technology allows for a no digital output processing time that also produces a 3D full body image in 13 seconds.
The second usage, is that the focused x-ray beam emitted to the patient eliminates scatter radiation and minimizes exposure to 75% les harm.
Ex 2
For centuries, they were surrounded in mystery as they live their lives in the depths of the sea,
mainly out of sight of humans.
Our view of these most impressive of animals has undergone many changes over the centuries. To our ancestors, there vast and mysterious creatures must have appeared as sea monsters.
In the last century, commercial whaling activities spurred on by the invention of the steam engine, instigated a massive and an unparalleled slaughter of whales that reduce d the populations of some species by 95% or more. The world’s great whale species that did survive this reckless overexploitation now face new threats. 2 sources of concern for whale mortality are problems of fishing gear entanglement and ship collisions. Throughout the world’s oceans there is a huge quantity of fishing gear.
Gill nets, which are like a wall close to the sea floor trap and drown innumerable whales each year. The more destructive form of fishing gear is the drift net, miles in length which often entangle a sale to such an extent that is dies from starvation. Whale deaths from ship collisions are a problem wherever whales live near or travel along major shipping lanes.
Overall, most whale species appear to be slowly recovering form over hunting. With some exceptions.
Ex 3
In this lecture, the professor apprehends 2 reasons for the square holes that archeologists dig.
One explanation says, in order to form the site map, sections are organized into a grid pattern. This allows the archeologist to reconstruct the exact location of each object found in the dig site. Another explanation says, in the likes of a detective, it is Imperative to record the precise order and location of the artifacts to form the story and context discovery.。
