我爱读书I Love Reading

Study has been an important part of our life. I study hard in school and even I graduate, I still keep reading books. Reading books not only brings me the knowledge, but also happiness. The knowledge I learn will be the greatest treasure of my life.

学习一直是我们生活中重要的一部分。我在学校努力学习，甚至毕业了，我仍然继续看书。读书不仅带给我知识，还有幸福。我学到的知识将是我一生中最大的财富。

The basic things I learn from books teach me the way to see the world. When I was very small, I fell in love with reading. I read cartoon books, then I learn more about the world. For example, I know more about sports and the different culture of areas. So I know the diversity of the world. When I have conflict with others, I try to understand them instead of arguing with them.

我从书中学到的基本知识教会了我如何看世界。我很小的时候，就爱上了阅读。我看了漫画书，然后对这个世界有了更多的了解。例如，我对体育和不同地区的文化有了更多的了解。所以我了解到世界的多样性。当我与他人发生冲突时，我尽量去理解他们，而不是与他们争吵。

The books show me the way to solve problems. I read about many inspiring stories about how great people get success. So when I meet difficulties, I tell myself not to give up, failure is the mother of success. So I can get over the difficulties and become stronger.

这些书告诉了我解决问题的方法。我看过很多关于伟人如何获得成功的励志故事，所以当我遇到困难时，我告诉自己不要放弃，失败是成功之母，所以我可以克服困难，变得更强大。

2. Self-study 自学

As adult students in China University of Petroleum, self-study becomes very important. According to me, there are several skills of self-study.

Firstly, I always make a study plan at the beginning of a new term. Secondly, I often prepare every unit before the lesson. Thirdly, I try my best to finish the homework after class. Fourthly, I always go over what I have learnt in class at home. Without review, you will forget what you have learnt as quickly as possible. So reviewing is helpful in understanding and memorizing what you’ve learnt.

Those skills above help me a lot in self-study.

3. Why I Like Learning English 我为什么喜欢学习英语

Why I like learning English? The reasons are as follows:

On one hand, English is very useful. English is the most widely used language in the world. If we make a visit to foreign countries or do business with foreigners, we need to talk with them in English. On the other hand, with China becoming stronger, we have more chances to go abroad. We can learn to know the English-speaking countries much better if we can speak English. Above all, English is useful and important, we must learn English.

4. My English Study 我的英语学习

English is always my favorite subject and I am good at English. I would like to share four good studying habits with you. Firstly, I always remember 20 new words every day, and never give up. Secondly, I always go over grammar points. Thirdly, I always read an English article in China Daily every day. Fourthly, I always write an English article every week and ask teacher to correct that for me to improve my writing.
