1.询问如何乘坐公交工具

A: Excuse me. Could you tell me how to get to the National History Museum?

B: Certainly,ma’am. It’s near the Science Museum. Are you familiar with the streets around here?

A: No. I am a tour lea der from China. Today I’ll go to visit the museum with some tourists.

B: I see. How would you like to go? Walking?

A: I have no idea about it at all. Is it far from the hotel?

B: Not really. You just go straight along this street,and after 6 blocks,you will see it on your left.

A: How long will that take?

B: About 30 minutes on foot.

A: How about taking the subway?

B: Sure. It’s only two stops. Do you know which train to take? A: The A train,is it right? I just looked at the city map.

B: That’s right. You get off at the second stop,Cronwell Road,and you will see the National History Museum is opposite

the stop.

A: What if I take a bus?

B: It’s rush hour now. The traffic is terrible. If you take a bus,you may get stuck in the traffic jam.

A: I see. Do you know where the nearest subway station is?

B: There is one at the corner. I’ll take you there.

A: That is very kind of you.Thanks a lot.

B: Don’t mention it.

2.Taking Subways(乘坐地铁)

A: Excuse me,sir. Is this the right subway to go to Chinatown? B: Yes. You get off at Canal Street.

A: Shall I take the express or local train?

B: Take the express. It saves you a lot of time. The local train stops at every station.

A: How much is the fare?

B: 30 cents. You can get a ticket from the ticket machine.

A: What should I do with the ticket?

B: You slip it into the slot at the turnstile and then push the turnstile to get in.

A: I see. Thanks a lot.

3.Taking Buess and Taxis（乘巴士和计程车）

Scene 1

A: Excuse me,ma’am. Does this bus get to the City Square? B: Oh,no. You should take bus No.38.

A: Thank you. Where can we take it?

B: Near the mail office.

A: Can we get to the City Square on this bus？

C: Yes,get in,sir. Fares,please.

A: How much is it?

C: Fifty cents each person.

A: Here you are. Could you tell us where we should get off? C: That’s the third stop.(About 15 minutes later) This is your stop.

A: Thank you. By the way,which bus should we change to get to the zoo?

B: You can change to bus No.2 at this stop for it.

A: I see. Thank you very much.

B: Yes,ma’am. Where to?
