“动词+about”常见搭配
argue about [over] 为……争论
They always argue about [over] money. 他们总是为钱争吵。
They are arguing about [over] who lost the ball. 他们在争论是谁丢了球。
bother about 烦恼,担心
Don’t bother about it. 不要为那事烦恼。
One should not be bothered about one’s personal gains or losses. 人不应该患得患失。
complain about 抱怨
You have nothing to complain about, do you? 你没有什么不满吧?
She complained to me about his bad manners. 她向我抱怨他不礼貌。
go about开始,着手(工作)
How shall we go about the job? 我们该怎样干这项工作?

hear about 听说,得知
I’ve never heard about him (this). 我从未听说过他(这件事)。

inquire [enquire] about 询问
I’d like to inquire about the trains for London. 我想问一问开往伦敦的火车班次。
We need to inquire about hotels in Vienna. 我们要打听一下维也纳的旅馆的情况。
know about 了解,知道……的情况
I happened to know about him. 我碰巧了解他的情况。
I don’t know about that matter. 我不知道那件事。
set about 开始,着手
Then he set about writing his report. 于是他开始写报告。

aim (…) at 瞄准,针对:
He aimed (his gun) at the target, fired and missed it. 他(用枪)瞄准目标开火,却未打中。
When the teacher said that there was a lazy boy in the class, e was aiming at John. 当老师说班上有个不用功的孩子时,他是针对约翰说的。
arrive at 到达(较小地方),达成(协议、结论等)
Soon we arrived at the station. 我们很快就到了车站。
It took a long time to arrive at a conclusion. 花了很长时间才达成一个结论。
call at 拜访(某人的家或某个地方)
I called at Mr James’ this afternoon. 今天下午我到詹姆斯先生家去拜访了他。
