投诉信(letter of complaint)《学案》P35
1结构:一般分为三个部分
①开头段:自我介绍,交代投诉内容,表明目的和要求。
②正文:说名情况,告诉对方你受到的伤害或不便,提出解决问题的建议,表明希望如何处理。
③结尾:表达问题得到迅速、恰当解决的强烈愿望,希望尽快得到满意答复。
2注意事项
①写作文体:投诉信属于应用文,格式同一般书信形式一样。
②主体时态:文章以一般过去时为主,兼用一般现在时。
③主体人称:第一人称。
3常用表达
①开头
I’m writing to you to complain about…
I’m writing to express my dissatisfaction with…
I am afraid that I have to make a complaint about…
I am completely disappointed to find…
I can hardly bear/tolerate/ put up with…
It is a great pity that I found there’s something wrong with….
②结尾
I would be highly appreciated if you could…

First/firstly, second/secondly, in the first place, what’s more, besides, moreover, furthermore, in addition
【案例】
假设你是李华,上个星期天去市图书观看书时发现了一些问题。请根据下列提示,用英语给馆长写一封信,反映情况。
1.新书太少,而且大多数书在今天已经不受欢迎了;
2.书架上的书比较混乱,这让读者很难快速找到想要的书;
3.管理员工作时彼此闲聊,读者无法安静看书;
4.阅览室的一盏灯坏了,桌椅有些也被损坏。
注意:1词数:100左右;
2可适当增加细节,使行文连贯;
3信的开头和结尾已经为你写好,不计入总词数。

Last Sunday, I went to do some reading in your library. I found something unpleasant. Therefore, I’d like to voice my opinion, hoping it will help you to manage the library.
First, there are not enough new books on the shelves, and most of them are not popular today. Second, some books are not sorted in proper order, making it difficult for readers to find what they want quickly. Third, the assistants don’t offer good service. They are chatting while the readers are reading quietly,which makes it difficult for readers to concentrate on books. Moreover, there is something wrong with one of the lights as well as some desks and chairs. As it is, I am afraid there will be fewer and fewer readers.
So, as a reader, I suggest that you make some necessary changes as soon as possible, so that the library can benefit more people.
