英文中形容词有三个比较等级,原级,比较级,最高级:
形容词规则变化一
形容词的比较级和最高级有规则变化和不规则变化。
单音节和一些双音节形容词加er或est或它们的变体构成比较级和最高级。
形容词规则变化二
两个音节的形容词有以下三种情况:
1.两个音节的形容词字尾为y时加-er, -est如y前是子音字母则变
2.有些形容词如pleasant, handsome, common, polite, quiet, stupid
3.其它的两音节形容词都是在字前加more, most。
三个或更多音节形容词有两种情形:
1.原为加-er, -est的两音节形容词?o加了前缀而变成三音节后?o依
2.其余一律在字前加more, most。
形容词不规则变化
形容词的比较级和最高级不按一定的规则变化。
形容词比较级用法之一
1. 表示"比...更",用比较级+than+比较成分,表示前者"超过"后者。than后的述语动词往往省略,非正式用法的than后的可用受格。
2. 否定的比较级表示"较...低;不及...",用less+原级形容词+than+比较成分,表示前者不及后者。
