The Changes in My Hometown In the past, my hometown was very small. People lived a poor life. Th e houses were very old and small. Pollution was very serious, and there wa s rubbish everywhere. The traffic was not convenient（方便），so few visitors came here.

Now great changes have taken place in my hometown. The environme nt has become more beautiful. The mountains have turned greener, the rive rs clearer and the sky bluer. There are trees, flowers and grass everywhere. People live a better life. Their houses are larger and brighter. Many people have their own personal cars. Every year, thousands of people from all over the world come to visit our city

I’m sure my hometown will become better and better in the future.

My family rules

My parents are very strict with me,and they have made some basic rules which I must obey.Firstly,I must come back home as soon as the school is over.Secondly,I’m not allowed to play computer games,even in my free time or on weekends.Thirdly,I have to do some housework,such as making the bed,tidying my bedroom and so on.If I break one of them,I will be punished.But thanks to these rules,I can live a healthy and regular life.

I think the second rule is unfair to me.I hope sometimes I could be allowed to play computer games for a while,because it will make me relaxed.I need time to relax and I should be allowed to organize my own life.

My school life

How times flies! My junior high school life will come to an end soon.I think my school life was colorful.

During those years,I learned how to get on with my classmates and I’ve made lots of friends. I have learned not only useful knowledge,but

also how to become a better person. I’ve experienced success,failure, sadness,happiness,nervousness and excitement.I treasure all of these experiences.Besides,I’ve learned how to live a healthy life and keep fit.

All of these things will have a good effect on my life in the future.

An unforgettable experience

Life is full of the unexpected. I’ll never forget the experience I had last year.

It was a sunny afternoon.On my way home on the bus,I saw an old man get on with his grandson of about ten. He was carrying the boy’s schoolbag and a violin. I gave my seat to the old man at once.However,the boy sat down first.The old man had to stand nearby.After a while,the boy shouted to his grandpa for water and then dropped the empty bottle on the bus.

When I saw this,I got very angry.I think the boy should not repect and take care of the old man but also keep the environment clean.

The Mid-Autumn Festival

Lunar August 15th of a year is the Mid-Autumn Festival.It is one of the most important festivals in China. It is also a Chinese traditional festival.On this day,people often get together to have a big dinner with their families.At night,people often enjoy the bright full moon and eat all kinds of delicious mooncakes in the open air.The mooncakes are round like the moon.They carry people’s wishes to the families they love.Some people don’t come back home until midnight.How happy they are on this day.
