First, we should often listen to the tapes , English songs and programs. Watching English movies is also helpful to us. Second, we should speak English in class as much as possible. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. The more you speak，the fewer mistakes you’ll make. We'd better join the English club and practice with others. Third, we can read more English newspapers and magazines. It’s good for us. At last, we should keep diaries.

If we can do them carefully, we will learn English well.

My Favorite Festival

My favorite Chinese Festival is the Spring Festival. It’s our traditional festival and it’s the most important holiday. Chinese people celebrate the Spring Festival in January or February . On the night before the Spring Festival , families get together to have a big meal .During the festival, we visit friends and relatives and have fun together.

I like the festival because it makes me feel the importance of sharing and giving love and joy to people around us. I always enjoy spending time with my family . So the Spring Festival makes me feel happy.

How I’ve Changed

I have changed a lot in the last few years.

I used to be short and thin , but now I am tall and strong. I used to quiet and don’t like talking. But now I am outgoing and active .Also I have many friends .In the past ,I spend much time playing with my friends , but now I have to spend more time on my schoolwork and sometimes even stay up late.. I used to like playing the guitar and now I prefer playing sports . I used to have no interest in my lessons, so I usually got bad grades. However, now I become more interested in my studies, and my grades have improved a lot.

There are many rules in my new school .We have to wear uniforms every day at school. But the problem is that our uniforms are ugly. We don’t want to wear it . I think we should be allowed to wear our own clothes. We are not allowed to eat in class and listen to music in the classroom. I agree with them . After all, the classroom is a place to study. However. We are allowed to study with a group and ask questions for teacher in class. It’s a good way to learn from each other.

I’m glad to write to you . At first ,welcome you to our country ,China. Let me tell you about our country’s customs. China is a country with a long history, so there are many customs in it.

First, you are supposed to shake hands when you meet someone for the first time. Second, when you eat dinner with others. You are expected to use chopsticks , and try to be relaxed at the table. You shouldn’t start eating first if there are older people. Also It’s rude to point at others with your chopsticks. Besides, if you are going to a party ,you are supposed to arrive at the party on time or a few minutes late.
