My Favourate Artist

My favourite artist is Qi Baishi, is a classial painter. He is considered to be one of the most famous art masters in the history of modern art in China，according to art historian. He was a painter for the first time and painted for the villagers. After 60 years of age, he settled in Beijing, made living by selling painting .The paintings are filled with passion for life。He spanned two centuries and lived to nearly a hundred years old. He pushed traditional Chinese painting to a new height. Qi Baishi is a master of modern painter who is highly accomplished in all aspects. His character, painting, poems are all outstanding. His style has had a great impact on modern and contemporary Chinese painting.

Qi Baishi loves the flowers, birds, insects and fish around him, so he paints them all as emotional lives. The flowers, birds, fish and insects in it are the result of his long-term observation and sketching, so they are vivid and living.
