A Happy Family

I have a happy family. Though there is only a little furniture in my home and everything in the rooms seems rather disorderly, I love my home very much.

My father is an engineer, nearly fifty years old. As a Party member, quite often he works late into the night. He even forgets himself when he is reading. Once when having supper, I found that the soup tasted watery. It soon became clear that my father, deep in his reading, had forgotten to put salt in the soup.

I have a kind mother. She is a primary school teacher. She loves her pupils and her job very much and puts all her heart into her work. All our clothes are made by tailors, for she is too busy to sew for us. As a housewife, she has to do almost all the housework. So she is the busiest one in our family.

We all keep a lot of books and we love reading. During our leisure time, reading is our main hobby. Evening is the happiest hour in our family. We usually sit in my parents’ room, reading and discussing everything we're interested in.

I love my family. It not only gives me much happiness and warmth but also teaches me how to be a real man.

Everyone has a family. We live in it and feel very warm. There are three persons in my family, my mother, father and I. We live together very happily and there are many interesting stories about my family.

My father is a hard-working man. He works as a doctor. He always tries his best to help every, patient and make patients comfortable. But sometimes he works so hard that he can't remember the date.

My mother is a woman with a bad memory. She always does a lot of housework, but sometimes she makes mistakes out of carelessness. For example, one day, she washed clothes in the washer, after the washer finished the work; she found she hadn't filled the washer with water.

Now let me tell you a funny thing: one day, father wanted to get up early as usual, but he wasn't able to do that, because he hadn't set the alarm clock the night before, so when he got up, he did everything in a hurry. After father left, mother said to me mysteriously, "He will come back soon." "Why?" I was greatly surprised. "Because today is Sunday, his holiday!" Just as mother said, father came back home soon, and went to bed again--he was too tired.

You see, what an interesting family has! I hope that you will have one like mine, too.

There are five people in my family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother and I. My father is doctor. He works in Yueqing. He goes to work on foot everyday. My father is not very tall, but he is strong, he is very kind to his patients and he loves his work. My mother is teacher. She works in a middle school in Yueqing. She goes to work by car. She is a very good teacher in my eyes. I am a student in Yueqing FLS. My school is very beautiful. There are many tall buildings, green tress, and nice flowers in our school. We have wonderful teachers too. I like studying in my school. My grandparents don’t go to work any more. They have retired. They stay at home everyday. In the morning they go to the park and do morning exercises. In the afternoon, they drink tea with their friends. In the evening, they enjoy themselves watching TV and reading newspapers. We have a happy family.
