Wester countries: age,marriage, income are their privacy, it’s impolite to ask them when you meet someone for the first time.
In China, we ask “Where are you going” or “What are you doing”. Those greetings may touch westerns privacy.

Chinese meal: Chinese stress on taste,smell,color, then neutritions. 重视色香 味，其次是营养
Western-style food: Westernerns stress on nertritions first, then taste. 重视营养搭配， 其次是味道
China: e.g. Spring Festival， the Dragon Boat Festival， Mid-Autumn Day
western countries: Valentine‘s Day(情人节)，Easter(复活节)， April Fool’s Day(愚人节)，Thanksgiving Day(感恩节) and Christmas Day(圣诞节),万圣节 ( Halloween)

Chinese say: Have you had your meal?
Where are you going?
westerners say: Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening, Hello, Hi, How are you? How’s it going?

especially in 20th century Western countries: Sir / Madam
Mr / Miss / Ms / Mrs Wang
2. Compliment and reply 赞美和回应

3. Dog

在英语国家，赞美也常用来作为交谈的 引子。赞美的内容主要有个人的外貌、 外表、新买的东西、个人财物、个人在 某方面的出色的工作等。

3. Privacy隐私 China: when we meet someone for the first time,we usually ask about age,marriage,income to show our care.

China: people usually decline(推辞). It’s hard to accept
Western countries: thank the person and open the gift in front of the person, showing happy and thankful
