In recent years, traditional printed newspaper has faced a serious challenge. Many newspaper shut down its print edition and shit to an online -only format. So the question is will the traditional printed newspaper one day be replaced by online newspaper?

Some people believe that traditional printed newspaper is irreplaceable because a large number of people still have no access to the Internet. However, others believe that the demise of the printed version is at hand.

In my opinion, it is irresistible that printed newspaper will demise or disappear while online newspaper will prosper.

Firstly, as the modern life changes quickly, news is reported at every turn. News is no longer new when printed on paper. Because the printing process of traditional newspaper takes hours, and its distribution may take even longer time. But the electronic transmission of news on the Internet may only take a couple of seconds.

The second advantage of online newspapers is its convenience to access. Not many print newspapers are free to the readers but mostly online newspapers are. Therefore, numerous people can come close to newspapers to update information. It is also convenient as the Internet has become a part of modern life. Young people who spend most of their time

on the Internet to study or to work are likely to update news through the Internet than buying newspapers. Wherever you are-having dinner in a restaurant ,walking hurriedly in a street, or waiting for your fight in the airport- just take out your cell phone and press several buttons, then the latest news will be presented to you immediately on the screen. It is very convenient.

Thirdly, it is undoubtedly that online newspapers are more interactive than traditional newspapers. Online version has email addresses, bulletin boards and chat rooms. With the devices, users can share and comment on the news, which enables them to enrich their knowledge and mind in a short time. Moreover, the search engine is a perfect tool for linking to other sites. In terms of layout and figure, online versions fluctuate impressively in their size. More features and more imagines make online newspapers are more attracted. Besides, young people ,the largest number of consumers, prefer to read news online.

So being faster and more convenient, cell phone and personal computers are leading us to a paperless lifestyle. Thus, I firmly hold the idea that online newspaper will dominate the market in the future while the printed newspaper will be displayed in the museum representing a period history.
