The first paragraph. The first paragraph describes the b ackground information of the topic. In this section, it overviews the historical background and causes of the issue, it also reviews those countries getting involved in the issue and analysizes the effect. In the last sentence, give your country’s brief standpoint on the issue.

The second paragraph. The second paragraph focuses on the international society’s involvement concerning the topic (Especially, detailing how UN functions in this issue). It mentions the relevant actions (i.e: resolutions, conferences, declarations, progammes, etc.) taken by UN, NGOs and other UN affiliated organs.

The third paragraph. The third paragraph is dedicated to your country’s involvement in the issue. It articulates the country’s past actions regarding the topic (i.e. resolution sponsored, conference attended, conventions signed, policies adopted, etc.)

The forth paragraph. The final paragraph reiterates your country’s standpoint and elaborates its viewpoints based on UN’s past and present actions on the topic. It also brings forward your country's constructive proposals in dealing with the issue. It’s the most crucial part of a position paper.
