Angela, a nine-year-old girl, lives with her old grandma in a small village because her parents are too busy to take care of her. She is an outgoing and kind girl, full of curiosity and smiling all the time. However, as the only child, she sometimes feels lonely, expecting to play with lots of children. Next to their house, there is a small forest with various tall trees. Though Angela is greatly curious about the forest, she is never allowed to go into it by her grandmother. One day, Angela wakes up at midnight and she hears a loud sound from the forest, which is just like the sound of giraffes. Through the window, she can see that the forest is aglow with lights and there are a number of giraffes. No, exactly they aren’t really giraffes. They have human beings’faces and giraffes’bodies. Suddenly, she finds one of them walking towards the house from the forest. The little girl feels so excited and little scared that she gingerly gets up and opens the door to walk out.

Outside the house, she stares at the stranger and asks innocently,” Are you from giraffe kingdom?

The giraffe says,”Yes, I’m from giraffe kingdom. We have been living in the forest for many centuries but we seldom go out of the forest. In the day, we live underground and in the evening we act on the ground. Today, I come here because we need your help.”

The little girl says,” Me? “

Then the giraffe tells her that actually she was a giraffe in her past life. And she had a sister in the past life and he is her sister’s husband. Now her sister is still alive but seriously injured in a battle. In their kingdom, only the kiss from the siblings’ next

lives can save the one who is dying. In order to save his wife, he comes here. After hearing this, Angela is very surprised but happy. She knows that she is not alone now and she has a sister. Then, she follows the giraffe to go into forest to save her sister.

After this, Angela makes friends with the giraffes and goes into the forest secretly to play with the giraffes every midnight in the giraffe kingdom. In it, she does not feel lonely any more.
