学习英语独到见解

All it takes is practice!

Many people asked me about how to learn English. In my opinion, English learning is not knowledge mastering but skills including hearing, speaking, reading,writing and thinking. Actually, we Chinese learning English often make such kinds of mistakes. We learn too many grammars. We remember too many new words. We do get high scores at exams. But we don't know how to use them. We learn English as if we were deaf and dumb! What a pity! Time and tide wait for no man! It's time for us to change......

Brain is like a computer, nothing input nothing output, something input something output! So if you want to be somebody in English, you should have something in your brain. Hearing and reading make it. My own experiences are that " Just Do It". When I get up in the morning, I turn on the radio or CCTV-9 first. When I am studying the stock market, I turn on English music or movies. When I am surffing on the internet, I do so. I almost do every thing with English on. You may say I don't understand them! Yes, you are right. Nobody can understand a word when he was new born. At the beginning, I didn't know the meaning either. After about a year, two hours hearing a day, I can understand a half. After 3 years doing, I can understand most. I think English is a lifestyle. If you like music, ok, listen to the English music. If you like watching movies, choose English movies. If you have a cell phone, turn the language into English. I got a computer. I want to change it into English. But I am not good at computer. Is there any one can help me?

We often heard complaints about no English air. I think environment can be created by ourselves. English is just a tool. We shall use it. If you have the habit of taking notes, good, do it in English. If you write diary, use English. If you like talk, speak to yourself in English. If you wanna go to English corner, every Tuesday from 7pm to 9:30pm, at Taizhou college. If you like thinking, do it in English way. My personal experiences are that speaking to yourself and thinking in English are really useful!

Learning English needs years of hard work! So if you wanna master it, every day is the answer! For an example, you live on the 6th floor and there is no elevator. You climb the steps several times a day and will get used to it. One day, if your relative visit you, he may think it's really tired to climb so many stairs. English learning is the same way. Have a good habit and keep it!
