This book follows two farm hands looking for work: the bright George and the disabled but big-hearted Lennie, who doesn’t know his own strength. The two men don’t know the fact that even the simplest American dreams are often out of reach until the tale comes to an end. “Though short, this novel can really make us feel sad and bring about our sympathy,” said editor, Dawn Raffel.

Vacations are wonderful opportunities to visit colleges.So my friend and I went to see colleges in Connecticut.In most of the places professors or students were eager to show us around and talk to us.However, I ended up disliking one university simply because no one bothered to help me.

My friend wanted to see the theatre department and luckily she ran into a theatre major who was happy to tell of his experiences there.She immediately fell in love with the place.I really wanted to see the studio arts department.The arts building seemed huge and splendid.I wandered inside but was unable to find a single person.I went to the admissions office and asked if they could find someone who could show me around.Strangely, they didn't know one single person in the studio arts department！Finally they told me to go back to the building and ask for “Stacy”. No last name, just “Stacy”．I thought this should be interesting.

I returned to the building and there happened to be one office open and a woman was there.
