Unit two My Schoolbag
Teaching Content in This Class:
A Let’s learn, Let’s do and part of Let’s talk.
Teaching Goals:
1. Students should recognize the new words they are going to learn in this class. For example, Chinese book, English book…, pencil, pencil-case….
2. Students can make sentences with “How many…?” and answer the questions with concrete numbers in English.
3. Students should grasp the meaning of the verb “put” and the usage of it.
4. Students should master the position preps “in, on, under, near”.
5. Students are able to do as they say according what they learn in this class, ie, when they say "put your book on the desk", they can do pursuant to what they say. Teaching Difficulty:
Students learn to use the sentence structure “How many…do you have?” to ask others some questions.
Teaching Procedures:
Warming-up
Show time:One student makes a speech on the stage. Others try to understand the meaning of what he says.
Revision:
1. I do, you say.
T: What am I doing? (T cleans the board.)
Ss: ….

2. Reciting: Students recite the following dialogues together.

Step 1: Students try to read out the new words.
Step 2: T corrects the wrong pronunciation. T reads the words by holding the corresponding book in hand.
Step 3: Practice. (Flash cards)
T opens PPT and asks Ss to look at the screen. I type one picture, and Ss read the corresponding English word.

Show PPT, Ss review numbers from 1~10.

Step 1: Students try to read out the new words.
Step 2: T corrects the wrong pronunciation. T reads the words by holding the corresponding article in hand.
