学好英语的Top 10 Tips

学好英语的Top 10 Tips

Whether it's watching篇3Improving My English Listening SkillsHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a fourth-grader. I've been learning English for a few years now, and one of the things I've been working hard on is improving my listening skills. It's not always easy to understand everything when people speak English, but I've learned some tricks that have really helped me. Let me share them with you!The first thing I do is listen to English audio as much as possible. My parents got me a subscription to an English learning app, and it has tons of stories, songs, and dialogues that I canlisten to. I try to spend at least 30 minutes every day listening to something in English. At first, it was really hard to understand, but the more I listened, the easier it became. One of my favorite things to listen to are audiobooks. There are so many great stories out there, and listening to them in English is a lot of fun. My teacher recommended that I start with books that have been simplified for language learners, but now I can even understand some chapter books meant for native English speakers. It's like having someone read me a bedtime story, but in a different language!Another thing that has helped me a lot is watching movies and TV shows in English. Of course, I love watching cartoons and animated films, but I've also started watching live-action shows and movies too. At first, I had to turn on the subtitles in my language to understand what was happening, but now I can often follow along without them. It's amazing how much you can learn just by watching and listening. One of my favorite shows is about a group of friends who go on adventures together. I've watched every episode multiple times, and I've learned so many new words and expressions from it. Whenever I come across a word or phrase I don't understand, Iwrite it down and look it up later. That way, I'm always learning new things.Speaking of learning new words, one of the best things I've done is keep an English vocabulary journal. Whenever I learn a new word, I write it down in my journal along with its definition and an example sentence. Then, I try to use that word as much as possible until it becomes a part of my vocabulary. It's like having a little dictionary that I've made myself!Another thing that has really helped me is practicing my listening skills with my friends and classmates. We often get together and have conversations in English, or play games that involve listening and speaking. One of our favorite games is "Telephone," where one person whispers a sentence to the next person, and we see how much it changes by the time it gets to the end of the line. It's hilarious, and it really makes us practice our listening skills. One of the things that motivates me to keep working on my listening skills is the thought of being able to travel to an English-speaking country someday. Imagine being able to have conversations with people from all over the world, or understand movies and TV shows without subtitles! That's my dream, and I'm willing to work hard to make it happen. So, those are my tips for improving your English listening skills. Listen to audio as much as possible, whether it's stories, songs, or movies. Keep a vocabulary journal and practice with friends. And most importantly, be patient and keep trying. It might seem hard at first, but trust me, it gets easier and easier the more you practice. Happy listening!篇4Title: Leveling Up My Listening Game!Hi there! I'm an elementary school kid who's been learning English for a few years now. At first, listening to English was super hard. All the words just blended together, and I couldn't make out what was being said. But over time, and with lots of practice, I've gotten much better at it. Let me share some tips that have helped me level up my English listening skills!Watch TV shows and movies in EnglishThis is one of my favorite ways to practice listening. There are so many cool shows and movies out there in English. At first, I had to rely a lot on subtitles in my native language to understand what was going on. But gradually, I started turning off the subtitles and focusing on just listening to the English audio. It was tough at first, but I found that the more I did it, the easier itbecame to catch the words and follow the story. Plus, it's just fun to watch cool shows and movies!Listen to English songsWho doesn't love singing along to their favorite tunes? Listening to English songs is a great way to train your ears. At first, I couldn't really make out all the lyrics. But I'd read along with the lyrics online while listening, and that helped me connect the sounds to the written words. Eventually, I could sing along without needing the lyrics in front of me. It's amazing how catchy and memorable English songs can be!Play English audio games and storiesThere are lots of cool audio games and stories out there in English. Some are designed specifically for language learners like me, while others are just regular games and stories that happen to be in English. Either way, they're super engaging and let me practice listening in a fun, interactive way. It's like going on an adventure and leveling up my listening skills at the same time!Listen to English podcasts and audiobooksPodcasts and audiobooks are awesome resources for listening practice. There are podcasts and audiobooks on pretty much every topic imaginable, from stories and jokes to scienceand history lessons. I love that I can listen to them whenever and wherever – during car rides, while doing chores, or even before bed. It's like having a personal English tutor with me all the time!Find a language partnerHaving a language partner has been a game-changer for me. We meet up regularly (sometimes in person, sometimes online) and just chat in English. At first, it was super nerve-wracking to have real conversations in English. But my partner was patient and encouraging, and it got easier over time. Plus, it's just fun to make a new friend from a different culture!Don't be afraid to ask for repetition or clarificationWhen I first started listening to more advanced English materials, there would be so many words and phrases I didn't understand. I used to get really frustrated and want to give up. But then I learned a simple trick – just ask for repetition or clarification! Whether it's a teacher, language partner, character in a show, or someone in real life, most people are happy to repeat something or rephrase it in simpler terms. It's way better than just nodding along pretending to understand!Be an active listenerListening isn't a passive activity – you have to be engaged and focused. I've found that really concentrating and trying to visualize what's being said helps a lot. If it's a story, I picture the characters and scenes in my mind. If it's a set of instructions, I imagine myself following each step. It keeps my brain actively processing the English instead of zoning out.Don't get discouraged!Learning to listen in a new language is HARD! There were so many times when I felt like giving up because I couldn't understand anything. But I kept at it, little by little, and it gradually got easier. The key is not to get discouraged by the parts you can't understand yet. Just keep exposing yourself to more and more English listening materials, and your brain will start picking up patterns over time. Celebrate your small wins, and you'll be amazed at how far you can go!Those are my top tips for boosting English listening comprehension. It takes a ton of practice, but it's also really fun and rewarding. Pretty soon, you'll be the one helping other kids level up their listening game. Let's go, language learners – we've got this!篇5How to Become a Great English ListenerHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a 10-year-old student who really enjoys learning English. One area I've worked hard on is improving my listening skills. Being able to understand spoken English well is super important for communicating with others. It helps me understand my teacher's instructions, movies and TV shows, songs, audiobooks, and conversations with English speakers. I'd love to share some tips that have helped me boost my English listening abilities. The first key is getting lots of practice by exposing yourself to as much spoken English as possible. Just like shooting basketballs helps you get better at basketball, listening to plenty of English helps train your ears and brain. You want to listen to varied content at a level you can mostly understand but with some new vocabulary and expressions too. That way you'll keep growing! One of my favorite ways to practice is by watching English TV shows, movies, and video clips made for kids my age. I try to watch without subtitles or captioning at first to really exercise my listening muscles. If I get lost, I'll rewind and optionally turn on English subtitles to clarify what was said. Fun, engaging videos with visual cues help reinforce what I'm hearing aurally.I also listen to tons of English music, audiobooks, and podcasts for kids. Having the lyrics or transcript to follow along with while listening boosts my comprehension. Even when I'm playing by myself, I turn on an English audiobook or podcast in the background to soak up more input. The wonderful world of the internet provides a vast sea of free listening resources at my fingertips!Another indispensible technique is watching the same video or listening to the same audio multiple times. The first exposure is usually quite challenging as everything is brand new. But repeating the same material is amazing for solidifying my understanding. I pick up new words and phrases each time through. After the third or fourth repetition, I often find I can comprehend almost everything!Whenever I encounter obstacles to understanding while listening, I make sure to deploy effective strategies. If I miss a word or phrase, I don't get flustered - I just use context clues from the rest of the sentence to decipher the overall meaning. I might also ask for clarification, repetition, or a rephrase if the speaker is someone I can interact with directly. Over time, I've gotten much better at picking up on tone, slang, idioms, and other nuances of conversational English. To further reinforce what I'm learning aurally, I love having conversations in English using the new vocabulary and expressions I've picked up through listening practice. I chat with my English teachers, language partners, and even do role-plays with my parents. I'm always making an effort to incorporate newly acquired terms and phrases into my own speech. That helps cement them in my brain while also building speaking skills. It's super motivating to track my progress over time. I can tangibly feel my listening abilities improving as I understand more and more of the English audio I'm exposed to. Quantifying my advancement inspires me to continue dedicating regular time to listening practice. For example, when I first started my favorite podcast series a year ago, I probably only comprehended 50% of each episode. Now I can follow 90%! What an incredible feeling of growth and accomplishment. In addition to celebrating my wins, I also try to pinpoint areas that still require work. If there are particular accents, speech patterns, topics, or speakers that I have trouble understanding, I purposely seek out more listening material featuring those elements as extra focused practice. I might alsoexplicitly study vocabulary related to the areas that continuously trip me up.My persistence and enthusiasm for listening to English has really paid off immensely. What once sounded like gibberish is now a language I can understand quite fluently. Of course, I'm still progressing and have room for improvement, but my listening abilities have skyrocketed compared to when I began. I'm deeply passionate about learning English and continuing to advance my skills across all areas including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. If you're determined to level up your English listening like I have, my biggest piece of advice is: listen, listen, listen! The more quality English audio you feed your ears and brain, the more listening comprehension will become second nature. Be an active listener who deploys strategies to decipher what you miss. Reinforce your learning through conversations and track your steady progress. Sprinkle in plenty of encouragement and patience for yourself as you're acquiring a valuable new skill.Never underestimate the immense power of listening for opening doors to communicating more effectively in English. Soon everything will start clicking, and you'll understand so much more of what you hear! I'm living proof that diligentlistening efforts coupled with an eagerness to learn can lead to incredible growth in English listening proficiency. If an elementary student like me can do it, you can too. So get those earbuds ready and start soaking up all the wonderful English audio that's out there!篇6Improving Your English Listening SkillsHi there! My name is Emily and I'm a 10-year-old elementary school student. In my class, we've been working really hard on improving our English listening skills. Learning to listen well in English is super important, but it can also be pretty tricky sometimes. Today, I want to share some tips with you on how to get better at understanding spoken English. The first thing I always remind myself is that practice makes perfect! The more opportunities you have to listen to English being spoken, the easier it will become over time. It's just like when you first start learning any new skill - the more you do it, the better you'll get. My teacher tells us we have to be patient and keep exposing our ears to lots of English listening material. One way I try to get extra English listening practice is by watching movies, TV shows, or video clips in English. It's a funway to hear the language while also enjoying the story or visuals. Whenever possible, I try to watch without subtitles so I really have to focus on understanding what's being said. Having subtitles in your native language can be tempting, but it lets you rely too much on reading instead of listening carefully. My parents have also helped me find podcasts, audiobooks, and songs in English to listen to. Having audio material made for learners at my level is really useful because the speakers talk slowly and clearly. As I improve, I can move up to more challenging native speaker materials. Listening while commuting or doing chores makes the time go by quickly. In class, we get listening practice from our textbook audio clips and our teacher reading aloud or giving instructions. Whenever we do a listening exercise, I've learned some strategies that help me understand better:First, I always make sure I'm listening for the general topic and gist of what's being said, not just translations of individual words. Getting the main idea is most important. If I don't understand every single word, that's okay! I can still usually piece together the overall meaning from context clues. It also really helps to listen for key words - things like names, numbers, common vocabulary words, and transition phrases. Those give me anchors to orient myself in the conversation. I can't always catch all the little grammatical bits in between. My teacher says making predictions about what I'll hear next is a good skill too. That engages my prior knowledge and keeps me thinking ahead, instead of just passively hearing words go by. Asking myself "What would make sense to come next in this situation?" keeps me alert. When there are pictures, headings, or other visual aids accompanying the listening, those are super helpful contextual clues too. For example, if I see an image of someone's kitchen before the listening starts, I can expect the conversation will probably be about cooking, food, or household items. Having some schema for what the topic will be makes it easier to tune in.Another big helper for me is taking notes - notword-for-word transcripts, but just jotting down key points, names, numbers, etc. Having the physical act of writing keeps me engaged instead of zoning out. Then when I've finished listening, I can review my notes to confirm I properly understood the highlights. My teacher always tells us to never be afraid to ask for repetition or clarification too. There's no prize for pretending you understood when you didn't! Replaying a confusing part, orhaving the speaker rephrase it, is way better than being lost. We shouldn't be embarrassed to advocate for ourselves as learners.I'll be honest, listening can be the most challenging English skill for me personally. Speaking, reading, and writing seem more straightforward because I have more control over the pace and can spend more time processing. Listening happens in real-time though, which requires a different set of skills! That's why consistency with listening practice is so crucial. The more I expose my ears to English, the more accustomed they'll become to the rhythms, accents, idioms, and speed of the language. It's like exercising a muscle - my "listening muscle" will get stronger and stronger over time.Sometimes, when I get frustrated because I'm having trouble understanding something, I remind myself of how far I've already come. I think back to when I was first starting to learn English and could barely comprehend anything at all. Now I can understand so much more! As long as I remain patient and keep practicing, my listening abilities will continue improving little by little. My friends and I like to cheer each other on too. It's encouraging to celebrate the small wins, like realizing "Hey, I actually caught the。

#如何充分使用流利阅读的原文音频#
第一遍,不看原文,听大意,记下没有听懂的词,听完复述并概括听到的内容;
第二遍,不看原文,边听边尝试逐字逐句模仿,并猜测词汇的音标以及意思;
第三遍,看原文,查不懂的词汇的意思,完全弄懂文章意思,并且边听边模仿,逐句模仿语音语调以及单词发音;

一是目的主旨,即新闻主角这么做的目的是什么,一般会在动词不定式或“for”之类表原因的词后出现;

很多英文经典名著和畅销书都推出了相应的有声书版本,比如 The Kite Runner(《追风筝的人》), Pride and Prejudice(《傲慢与偏见》), The Great Gatsby(《伟大的盖茨比》)等等。

Lala does not want that 100 dollars.

In a country where top universities demand average test
scores above 98 percent and where cheating on final high
school exams is organized by a "mafia" that includes
teachers and school officials, the Delhi government's
initiative marks a shift of emphasis from student
performance to well-being.

这里需要听到的关键词是 initiative, a shift of emphasis, performance, well-being。

这些词能帮助我们搭建句子的结构:这个 initiative 做了什么--是什么的标志--从哪里转变到哪里。

所以整句话的意思是 ,在印度,顶尖大学要求学生平均成绩高于98%,组织高中最终考试作弊的团伙中包括了教师与学校官员。

而德里政府的新方案标志着从学生成绩到身心健康的重心转移。
