一.教材分析
To China, with love是冀教版九年级第五册第五单元第38课，这课主要介绍加拿大共产党员白求恩大夫如何帮助中国的抗日战争的。
在整个八路军医务系统中，他的医术是很高明的，他以手术台为阵地，以救死扶伤为责任，对技术精益求精，尽职尽责，最后牺牲在手术台上。
以国际公产主义精神感动了全中
国，给我国人民留下了永不磨灭的印象。
本课主要围绕一般过去时及被动语态这语法项目而自然引出的一些常用的短语。
一般过去时及其被动语态是要求九年级学生在八年级基础上全面，系统掌握的重要语法，学生在原有的基础上进一步复习一般过去时及被动语态，这对其它时态的被动语态的掌握起着巩固和提高的作用。
为今后复习其它时态的被
动语态打下坚实基础，做好铺垫，所以本课书的内容在整个教材中起着承前启后的纽带作用。
二.学情分析
1、通过前面的学习，学生已经基本上掌握了一般过去时和被动语态这些基本语法，本课是对前面语法的复习和巩固。
例如：本课的be born是对一般过去时及被动语态的集中演练，For example：When were
you born?
2、学生对die这个词的几种词型掌握不透，经常混淆，通过本课的学习，.进行有针对性的训.
三.教学目标
学习新短语，并引出学过的旧短语，学会用英语描述名人及自己的朋友，寓德育于教学之中，
增强学生的爱国主义精神。
