一.教材分析
To China, with love是冀教版九年级第五册第五单元第38课,这课主要介绍加拿大共产党员白求恩大夫如何帮助中国的抗日战争的。

在整个八路军医务系统中,他的医术是很高明的,他以手术台为阵地,以救死扶伤为责任,对技术精益求精,尽职尽责,最后牺牲在手术台上。

以国际公产主义精神感动了全中
国,给我国人民留下了永不磨灭的印象。

本课主要围绕一般过去时及被动语态这语法项目而自然引出的一些常用的短语。

一般过去时及其被动语态是要求九年级学生在八年级基础上全面,系统掌握的重要语法,学生在原有的基础上进一步复习一般过去时及被动语态,这对其它时态的被动语态的掌握起着巩固和提高的作用。

为今后复习其它时态的被
动语态打下坚实基础,做好铺垫,所以本课书的内容在整个教材中起着承前启后的纽带作用。

二.学情分析
1、通过前面的学习,学生已经基本上掌握了一般过去时和被动语态这些基本语法,本课是对前面语法的复习和巩固。

例如:本课的be born是对一般过去时及被动语态的集中演练,For example:When were
you born?
2、学生对die这个词的几种词型掌握不透,经常混淆,通过本课的学习,.进行有针对性的训.
三.教学目标
学习新短语,并引出学过的旧短语,学会用英语描述名人及自己的朋友,寓德育于教学之中,
增强学生的爱国主义精神。

四. 教学目标

掌握生词:northern war operate kill peace soldier blood
短语:be born be famous for a way to do sth. be buried die of on one’s way to a place operate on sb.

能听懂老师提出的有关人物的话题的陈述,积极主动参与讨论,并能就此话题与他人交换信息,陈述自己的观点。

通过本节课的学习,学生可以用英语表达自己对某些名人的敬仰之情,增强学生爱国主义的情操,培养学生学习英语的兴趣和学好英语的信心,充分调动学生学习英语的积极性。

这部分通过自由对话,练习重点句型,Talk about” Who do you most admire? Why?” “I most admire ….”
我认为这部分他们可以做的比较好,因为图中的名人有的在前面学过了.所以他们可以说出他们最敬仰的人.
eg: A: Who do you most admire?
B: I most admire Hellen Keller.
A: Why do you most admire her?
B: Because of her courage and her hard work. Though she is blind and deaf,she is an educator and writer.etc.

b)先听一遍课文,然后填下面的表格。

听课文录音,然后完成下面的表格
c)How much do you know about Bethune?通过观看图片学生自己陈述有关白求恩的一些信息。

d)通过生词,短语导入课文,将课文中的一些短语让学生们自己从课文中找出来,并要求他们将自己找到的短语展现出上。

根据课文内容回答问题。

把一些重要的短语写在黑板上,然后再根据课文中的动词die进行难点突破,重点解释。
