Study Tips---计划学习时间（Plan your study time)
To learn a language you need constant and regular practice.. It is a good idea to plan your study time and set aside minimum time each day for your study.
要想学好一门外语，勤学、勤练很重要。

首先应该制定学习计划，另外每天都应该留出一定的学习时间。

What you do in your daily study time may vary from day to day. It’s good idea to set yourself a specific learning goal for each day. 每天的学习任务不一定相同，最好能明确每天的学习任务。

On some day you may want to focus on learning new material and completing the activities relate to it, on other days you may want to review the material you have already studied.
有时候可能要集中精力学习新的内容，完成相关作业，有时候可以复习学过的内容。

Study Tip----- Listening Skill
Always make sure you read through the questions in the activity related to the extract before listening. On the listening you should focus on the information you need to answer the question in the activity.
听录音之前，应该先浏览一遍后面的练习题。

听第一遍的时候，应该重点捕捉能回答这些练习题的相关信息。

You can use the transcript to check words and expressions when you have done an audio activity, but it is better to try to do the activity first without looking at the transcript.
昨晚听力练习后，可以看一下录音文本核对答案。

但应先听录音，做完练习后再看文本，这样效果会更好。

Study Tip----Grammar Learning Skill
Grammatical points can be noted down in different ways. Some people find it helpful to note down rules r patterns. For example, you can note down the way in which the present continuous is formed (to be + V-ing). Always note down a few examples with the rule.
学习语法的时候，可以用比较简洁（不同的形式）将句子结构记下来。

比如，再学习现在进行时的时候，就可以把句子结构写成to b -V-ing. 另外，在记下句子结构的同时在记几个例句，会有助于你对这个句子的理解和掌握。

Study Tip----Grammar Learning Skill
When noting down the grammar points in your notebook, it can be useful to note down functions. Functions are the purpose the language is used for, for example, in order to apologise, or request or to complain. In this unit you have a number of phrases and expressions relating to making suggestions that you could note down.
在学习语法的时候，不仅要注意语法形式，还要学习语法功能。

功能是语言表达的真正目的，比如，你要表达的是歉意、要求还是抱怨。

在这个单元里，我们学习了一些有关“提出建议”的词汇和表达方法，你可以记录下来。

Study Tip ----
Once you have down the activities, it can be useful to read the transcript as you listen to the extract again. This can be a good way of focusing on the intonation or the pronunciation of
particular words. 眼、耳、嘴、脑并用能提高学习效率。

做完听力联系后，你可以边看录音文本边听录音，这样可以更注意个别单词的发音和语调的变化。

背诵也是有益的学习方式。

Study Tip----main idea
An important skill to develop in any foreign language is to understand the gist of what is being communicated without understanding every word. 学外语应该培养领会大意、抓要点的能力。

Therefore, it is important to listen to, read and watch as much as you can in English, without trying to understand every word. Don’t try to translate every word either, as this will slow you down, confuse you and overload you. 因此，要多听英语录音，多读英语文章，多看英语节目，而不必追求一字不差全懂全会。

切忌逐字逐句地讲英文翻译成汉语。

因为这样翻译只能加重你大脑的负担，减慢领会要点的速度，使你抓不住整体的意思。

Study Tip
Reading comprehension can be similar to listening comprehension. 阅读理解与听力理解有相同之处。

You should make sure you have read and understood the questions before you read the text. 练习时应该先阅读问题，看懂之后再看文章。

In this session you have looked at multiword verbs. It is a good idea to keep track of these as it is often impossible to guess their meanings.
在本单元我们学习了一些短语动词，这类短语动词的意义不能完全靠猜测，所以平时要注意多积累。

Study Tip
You should spend a short time each day looking back at what you have already studied in the course books. It is very easy to forget what you have learnt.每天都应该花一点时间复习所学的内容。

否则，看过了但没有记住就等于白学。

Study Tip
It can be difficult to practise speaking English if you have no one to speak with. One way of getting used to pronouncing English words is to read the audio extracts out loud to yourself or under your breath. You can also follow the audio by reading the transcript out loud as you listen.
想练口语又找不到练习伙伴确实是个难题.要想养成张口说英语的习惯,你可以试一试这样的办法: 朗读或默读所听过的录音材料.还可以边听录音边大声跟度读.
Study Tip
You can use the transcript in many ways: for example, you can read extract from the transcript, listen to the same extract without the transcript, pause the audio and try to continue saying what comes next out loud; check in the transcript and then do the exercise again.
利用录音文本的方式有很多种。

比如，你可以先阅读录音文本，之后脱离录音文本专心听一遍录音，在恰当的地方按暂停键说出后面的句子，再阅读文本，检查你说对了没有。

反复做此练习，你的口语一定会有长进。
