2013.08学教育91例谈凤凰高职英语教材口语教学设计刘妍洪燕(江苏连云港工贸高等职业技术学校,江苏连云港222006)[摘要]针对如何加强高职学生口语表达能力的培养问题进行分析,并提出研究训练方法,优化教学模式的对策。

[关键词]高职学生;口语表达能力;策略一、高职学生口语表达能力的基本要求根据《教学大纲》和《课程标准》的要求,英语课程要使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和基本技能,培养学生在日常生活和职业场景中的英语应用能力,其中就包括口语表达能力。

二、教材简介目前,高职一年级学生主要使用江苏教育出版社出版的凤凰职教版《英语》第一、二册。

该套教材根据《中等职业学校英语教学大纲》和《江苏省五年制高等职业教育英语课程标准》的要求编写。

其基本设计思路是:以提高学生“英语综合能力”为目标,以学生“职业能力”发展为主线架构课程体系;以学生在校生活、职业生活和社会生活的“主题内容”为载体,按照“循环拓展”的原则组织内容;每个单元按照“导入——听说——读写”的顺序安排教学内容,创设鲜活的教学情景,落实“做中学”的人本教育思想。

三、高职院校口语教学的策略首先,教师应尊重学习主体的需要,从高职学生的实际出发,激发学生学习积极性。

大部分高职的学生希望通过学习外语获得文凭,获得好的工作,是一种典型的工具型动机。

笔者在教学实践中时时将学生的需要放在第一位,并不断帮助学生提升需要的层次。

其次,教师应充分利用现代化的教学手段,采取多样化的教学方式,充分利用现代化的教学手段。

在口语课堂中可使用情景教学,练习对话,复述文章,讲故事等多种方式创建良好的口语训练的氛围。

例谈凤凰高职英语教材口语教学设计

[摘要] 针对如何加强高职学生口语表达能力的培养问题进行分析,并提出研究训练方法,优化教学模式的对策。

一、高职学生口语表达能力的基本要求
根据《教学大纲》和《课程标准》的要求,英语课程要使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和基本技能,培养学生在日常生活和职业场景中的英语应用能力,其中就包括口语表达能力。

二、教材简介
目前,高职一年级学生主要使用江苏教育出版社出版的凤凰职教版《英语》第一、二册。

该套教材根据《中等职业学校英语教学大纲》和《江苏省五年制高等职业教育英语课程标准》的要求编写。

其基本设计思路是:以提高学生“英语综合能力”为目标,以学生“职业能力”发展为主线架构课程体系;以学生在校生活、职业生活和社会生活的“主题内容”为载体,按照“循环拓展”的原则组织内容;每个单元按照“导入——听说——读写”的顺序安排教学内容,创设鲜活的教学情景,落实“做中学”的人本教育思想。

三、高职院校口语教学的策略
首先,教师应尊重学习主体的需要,从高职学生的实际出发,激发学生学习积极性。

大部分高职的学生希望通过学习外语获得文凭,获得好的工作,是一种典型的工具型动机。

笔者在教学实践中时时将学生的需要放在第一位,并不断帮助学生提升需要的层次。

其次,教师应充分利用现代化的教学手段,采取多样化的教学方式,充分利用现代化的教学手段。

在口语课堂中可使用情景教学,练习对话,复述文章,讲故事等多种方式创建良好的口语训练的氛围。

再次,培养学生通过角色扮演进行情景对话的能力。

教师应在口语课堂中给学生赋予不同身份和文化背景来进行交际。

培养学生学会根据所面对的特定的人灵活地运用语言,得体地进行交际。

四、例谈口语教学设计
由于高职院校的班型普遍比较大(入学时50人左右),为了有效的组织课堂活动,需要教师在课前和课上做好相应的准备和设计:
1、课前准备
教师应在全面把握每单元或每节课的教学三维目标的基础上,有意识地引导学生自己搜集、制作口语素材。

如针对新单元”A Different School”,学生课前要用手机或相机拍摄学校中各个建筑物,分组进行,如第一组拍摄教学楼和宿舍楼,第二组拍摄实训楼和机房等,上课前由各组组长进行整合,在教师的指导下制作成PPT,作为校内日常活动地点描述的直观素材,并有助于学生加深对学校的印象。

通过准备,也增强了学生在课上参与讨论的信心。

2、导入阶段
根据对高职学生口语学习的问卷调查结果显示,学生在导入阶段倾向于话题式导入法,即用相关的话题引导学生一步步进入设定好的情境。

如针对”Sports Are Fun!”这节课,以近期的精彩体育赛事或奥运会(全运会等)为话题,准备几个问题,引导学生回答,并给出关键词,以便学生课后自己操练时有的放矢。

同时,教师可借助丰富的网络资源补充一些音频、视频或卡通图片用于新课导入或课堂讨论素材。

但要注意与主题密切相关,切勿跑题。

3、学生操练
首先,口语课堂上的常规操练形式还是必不可少的,如两人一组对话、分组讨论、角色扮演、师生问答、看图说话、概括复述、模仿对话等。

实践证明小组活动有助于培养学生的自主学习能力、合作学习能力和团队精神。

其次,善用教材每单元所附的补充阅读材料作为学生课后的口语操练材料,省却了另行搜集的时间。

如”Sports Are Fun!”的补充阅读材料介绍了将于2014年举行的南京青年奥运会,学生可以根据教师在导入时给出的几个问题课后作答,作为口语家庭作业。

再次,利用口语软件开展口语操练在一定程度上有助于学生随时随地进行口语操练。

如国际音标软件适合口语基础薄弱的学生使用,再如公共英语一级或二级口语软件分别适合高职一年级及二年级的学生使用。

另外,推荐使用智能手机的学生下载英语口语APP,如朗易思听线控听说通、爱卡微口语等。

4、集体展示和及时有效地反馈
每单元课程介绍前,应设置集体展示的环节。

如针对”Time to Celebrate”,学生以“节日”利用课余时间分组编写口语对话和英文节日介绍,制作PPT等。

另外在讲解“What’s in Fashion”时,学生通过调查身边同学们最喜欢的品牌,编写英文问卷,制作海报等。

展示的目的在于锻炼学生说英语的自信心,增强合作精神,发现普遍存在的问题,让学生更多关注学习的过程。

学生展示后,教师要给予及时有效地反馈和评价。

对于普遍存在的问题,可以集中提出,让学生及时地认识到并在今后的口语学习中进行自我完善。

总之,培养交际能力是英语教学的出发点和归宿。

英语口语教学一直是高职英语教学中的薄弱环节,如何从激发学生的学习动机,使学生积极主动的学习到培养学生真正的能在实际的交际情景中自如的进行交流,这些都是需要我们教学工作者在教学中认真探索的。
