可数名词数量只有一个时是单数,比如一本书:a book;数量为两个及以上时就需要用复数,比如:两本书,two books一般来说名词单数变复数有以下规律:1. 绝大多数的名词都是在单词结尾加s 如:ruler---rulers2.以s,x,ch,sh结尾的单词加es 如:bus--buses, box--boxes, peach--peaches,brush--brushes3. 以辅音字母+ y结尾的单词:去y变为ies 如:baby--babies, library--libraries, family--families,fly--flies, butterfly--butterflies, body--bodies以元音字母+ y结尾的单词:直接在y后面加s 如:monk e y--monk e ys, t o y--t o ys4.以f ,fe结尾的单词:去f,fe变为ves 如:leaf--leaves, knife--knives, wolf---wolves5. 特殊情况:(1) 单复数同行:fish – fish , sheep – sheep , deer – deer , Chinese – Chinese(2) 不规则变化:如:mouse—mice, man—men, foot—feet, tooth – teeth , child -children常见不可数名词:chicken, meat, beef, bread, water, milk, juice, tea, coffee, jam等二、名词的所有格1、名词后面加’s ,表示所有格(……的)如:Mary’s bag (玛丽的书包)2、of 短语,表示所有格(……的)如:a picture of my family (一张我家的照片)四、基本句型1、肯定句:如:I am a teacher. am,is和are的用法:
我用am,你用are,is连着他,她,它;单数名词用is,复数名词全用are。
这三个词都是“是”的含义,但用法比中文中的“是”要复杂,英语中的am,is和are都是be的变化形式,根据不同的主语选用不同的动词。
am,is,are,“是”be动词,can 会,情态动词,
变疑问,往前提,句末问号别忘记,
变否定,be后can后加not,
I-you,my-your任你变,句首大写莫迟疑。
