他好奇地跑过去，发现竟然是一个好可爱的女孩子，在一团蓝光的包围下从天上飘下来了……第二天希达在巴斯的房间里醒来，发现房里有一张“天空之城拉普达”的照片。
这是巴斯的父亲历尽艰险才拍到的真正的天空之城，但除了斯威夫特之外，没有人相信他。
于是父亲在郁郁寡欢中去世了。
为了父亲的遗憾，巴斯发誓，一定要向他人证实，世上真的有天空之城存在！嗅觉灵敏的海盗很快就找上门来了，军方也找到了他们。
