The CEA expression level O the pleural 2uib and serum of the too g/ups was compared, and the dOerenco was statistica/y significant ( P < 0. 05 ) , and the CEA expression level O the pleural 2uid was significanOy higher than thatin theseeum ( P <0.05) .TheaeeeaoeNGALeipeesion in paeueaaeauid and seeum between thetwogeoupswas statistica/y significant ( P < 0. 05), and the expression level of NGAL in pleural 2uiV was significanOy higher than that O serum ( P < 0. 05 ). The ROC curve showed that the expression levels of CEA and NGAL O pleural elusion and seeum had ceetain ea7uein thedieeentia7diagnosisoebenign and maignantp euea7eeusion and theeea7uation oe patient prognosis, and the value of combined detection was higher. Conclusion CEA and NGAL arc expressed at a high level O the pleural 2uiV of patients with malignant pleural elusion. The combined detection of CEA and NGAL can be used as one of the methods for the dOerenOal diagnosis of malignant pleural elusion and the evaluation of the prognosis of patients.

Recognizing the sovereign rights of States over their natural resources, ethnopharmacologists are particularly concerned with local people's rights to further use and develop their autochthonous resources.Accordingly, today's ethnopharmacological research embraces the multidisciplinary effort in the:• documentation of indigenous medical knowledge,• scientific study of indigenous medicines in order to contribute in the long-run to improved health care in the regions of study, as well as• search for pharmacologically unique principles from existing indigenous remedies.The Journal of Ethnopharmacology publishes original articles concerned with the observation and experimental investigation of the biological activities of plant and animal substances used in the traditional medicine of past and present cultures. Kiimmell’s 病是一种在严重骨质疏松症基础上 发 生 椎 体 压 缩 性骨折的并发症[1]。其临床特征主 要有:无明显诱因或受轻微外伤后导致腰背疼痛，在 经 历 过 一 段 时 间 的 缓 解 期 后 ,再 次 出 现 在 相 同 部 位 的进行性腰背疼痛和脊柱后凸畸形，以老年人多见， 常 伴 严 重 骨 质 疏 松 症 ，影 像 学 检 查 提 示 椎 体 裂 隙 征 ， 在排除新鲜骨折、肿 瘤 、感 染 等 明 确 病 因 后 ，可认为 是 Kiimmell’s 病 。国外临床研究根据椎体裂隙征估 计 Kiimmell’s 病在老年人群骨质疏松椎体压缩性骨 折 （ osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, OVCF)中 发 病 率 约 为 7 % ~ 3 7 % [2]。随着人口老龄 化 ，骨 质 疏 松 症 已 成 为 我 国 重 大 公 共 卫 生 问 题 ， OVCF患者逐年增多，其 并 发 症 Kiimmell’s 病的发 生 率 将 会 随 之 增 多 ；由 于 电 子 计 算 机 断 层 扫 描 (computed tomography, CT) 、磁共振成像（magnet ic resonance imaging，MRI)等现代诊断技术 的全面 普 及 ，Kiimmell’s 病的确诊率也在逐渐上升。因此 ， KUmmell’s 的诊疗已经成为脊柱外科医生不得不掌 握的一种疾病。本 文 从 Kiimmell’s 的 历 史 发 展 、危 险因 素 、发病机制、诊 断 、临床分期、治疗选择等6 个 方面进行综述。
