如何准备一份成功的英语即兴演讲稿
如何准备一份成功的英语即兴演讲稿As soon as you hear the words "impromptu speech," you immediately associate it with a speech that is made on the spot, without much preparation. An impromptu speech can come in many different forms and is often used in debate clubs, speaking engagements, and even job interviews. The main characteristic of an impromptu speech is that it requires you to think quickly on your feet and come up with ideas to fill a certain amount of time. However, even though it may seem daunting to give an impromptu speech, there are ways you can prepare yourself to deliver a successful one.1. Get Comfortable with Common TopicsOne of the first things you can do to prepare for an impromptu speech is to start getting comfortable with the common topics that are often brought up during these types of speeches. These topics can range from current events to controversial topics and are meant to challenge you to think on your feet. Some good ways to start learning aboutdifferent topics are to follow the news, read up on hot-button issues, and practice debates with friends or colleagues.2. Practice, Practice, PracticeThe more you practice giving impromptu speeches, the more comfortable you will become with the process. One way to do this is to find a friend or family member who is willing to give you random topics to speak on. You can also join a local debate club or find a community group that regularly hosts speaking events. By putting yourself out there and practicing, you will build your confidence and improve your public speaking skills.3. Develop a StructureJust because an impromptu speech is spontaneous, doesn't mean it should lack structure. In fact, developing a basic structure can be essential in helping you organize your thoughts and keep your speech on track. A simple structure might include an opening statement, three to four points or ideas, and a conclusion. You may also want to consider using examples or statistics to back up your arguments or points.4. Keep it SimpleWhen you are giving an impromptu speech, it is important to keep your language and ideas simple. Speak in a conversational tone, use everyday language, and focus on clear, concise, and easy-to-understand points. By simplifying your ideas and language, you will be able to effectively communicate your message to your audience.5. Stay ConfidentFinally, the key to delivering a successful impromptu speech is to stay confident. Even if you are not an expert on the topic or you stumble over your words, remember that the audience is there to hear what you have to say. Stay calm, take a deep breath, and trust that you have the skills and knowledge to deliver a successful speech. In conclusion, delivering an impromptu speech may seem daunting, but by following these tips, you can prepare yourself to speak confidently and effectively. 如何做一个成功的演讲者 英语作文
如何做一个成功的演讲者英语作文How to be a Successful Public SpeakerHave you ever had to get up in front of your whole class and give a presentation? It can be really scary and nerve-wracking, right? Maybe your hands get sweaty, your legs shake, and you forget what you were going to say. Well, I used to feel that way too until I learned some tips and tricks for being a great public speaker. Now when I have to speak in front of people, I feel confident and excited instead of nervous! The first step to being a successful speaker is picking a topic that you are really interested in and know a lot about. If you try to give a speech on something boring that you don't care about, your audience will be able to tell. They'll get bored and stop listening. But if you choose a topic you're passionate about, it will be much easier to speak enthusiastically and keep everyone engaged. For example, when I had to give a presentation last year, I decided to talk about my favorite video game. Since I play it all the time, I knew tons of details about the characters, levels, and storyline. I was able to explain everything clearly and even add insome funny jokes and stories from my experience playing. My excitement for the topic really shone through.Once you've picked your topic, the next step is to do lots of research and planning. You can't just get up and start winging it – you have to carefully organize what you're going to say ahead of time. I like to make an outline with the key points I want to cover, and then I can fill in specific details and examples under each one. Don't forget to put together some visual aids too, like slides, posters, props or videos. Having something to show the audience keeps them interested while you're talking. As you're researching and outlining your speech, pay attention to how you want to structure it. Every good presentation needs an engaging introduction to grab people's attention right away. You could tell a funny joke, ask a thought-provoking question, or share an interesting fact or story related to your topic. The introduction should make your audience think "Ooh, I want to keep listening to hear more about this!"The body of your speech is where you'll go through each of your key points using examples, explanations, visuals, stories or whatever helps you illustrate your ideas clearly. Make sure to group related points together in a logical order that flowssmoothly. Use transitions between sections to help connect your thoughts. Finally, you need to wrap up with a strong conclusion that summarizes the main arguments you made and leaves your audience with one key takeaway message. You could end with a inspirational quote, a call to action, a rhetorical question that makes them think, or a creative parallel that connects back to your opening hook. The next essential ingredient for being a fantastic public speaker is to practice, practice, practice! Don't just read through your notes or outline once. You have to rehearse giving your entire presentation out loud over and over again. Time yourself, stand up and use hand gestures like you'll do on stage, and consider having a friend or family member watch you so they can provide feedback. When you've practiced enough that the speech flows smoothly and you rarely need to look at your notes, it's also a good idea to work on your body language and vocal delivery. Using hand motions, making eye contact with different areas of the audience, changing your volume and tone, walking around the stage, and avoiding nervous habits like swaying or fidgetingwill all help you appear more confident and natural. Record yourself and watch it back to spot areas to improve.Even after tons of practice though, it's totally normal to still feel a little bit nervous right before going on stage. The key is to use techniques to control that adrenaline rush so it comes across as energetic excitement instead of fear. Take some deep breaths, do arm stretches or shake out your limbs, tell yourself positive affirmations like "I'm going to do a great job!" Give yourself a little pep talk and you'll be ready to go!Once you're up on stage, maintain a nice tall posture with your shoulders back, make engaged eye contact, enunciate your words clearly, stick to your planned pace, and remember to pause occasionally to breathe. If you make a small mistake, quickly recover and keep going – chances are the audience didn't even notice. Above all, SPEAK WITH PASSION AND ENTHUSIASM! When you can tell the speaker is excited and confident about their topic, it makes the audience excited to listen too.I know being a good public speaker takes a lot of hard work, but it's a super useful skill to develop. Having practice communicating clearly and persuasively will help you do well with class presentations, drama performances, speechcompetitions, interviewing for jobs someday, and all sorts of situations in life. Even if you don't consider yourself to be an outgoing or charismatic person naturally, anyone can become a successful speaker by following these tips and pushing themselves out of their comfort zone.So next time you have to speak in front of a group, big or small, don't let the nerves psych you out! Instead, get excited to share your knowledge, hard work and personality with your audience. The more you put yourself out there, the more confidence and skills you'll build. Who knows, you might discover a hidden talent for public speaking! Just remember the key ingredients: choose a topic you're passionate about, prepare and practice thoroughly, project confidence through your words and body language, and most importantly, let your enthusiasm shine through. You've got this!。

如何做一个成功的演讲者 英语作文
如何做一个成功的演讲者英语作文How to Be a Successful Public SpeakerPublic speaking can be scary, but it's an important skill to learn. When you're a good public speaker, you can share your ideas and stories with others in a clear and engaging way. Maybe you'll give a speech at a school assembly or present a project in front of your class. Whatever the occasion, here are some tips to help you become a star public speaker!Practice, Practice, PracticeThe most important piece of advice is to practice your speech or presentation many times before you deliver it in front of an audience. The more you practice, the more comfortable and confident you'll feel. Ask your parents, siblings, or even your stuffed animals to be your practice audience. As you rehearse, focus on:• Projecting your voice loudly and clear ly• Making eye contact by looking up from your notes• Slowing down - don't race through your words• Using hand gestures and body movement• Smiling and having a positive, energetic presenceKnow Your Material Inside and OutWhen you really understand your topic well, you'll feel more at ease discussing it. Study the information thoroughly so you don't have to rely too much on notes during your actual presentation. Note cards with brief bullet points can jog your memory, but reading word-for-word from papers makes the delivery seem stilted.Watch engaging speakers like popular YouTubers, famous athletes giving interviews, or motivational speakers. See how they speak with confidence, make eye contact, use gestures, and involve the audience? Try modeling those skills.Grab Their AttentionDon't start your speech with a boring line like "Hi, my name is..." or "Today I'm going to talk about..." Instead, open with something catchy and intriguing:• A thought-provoking question• A surprising statement or fact• An interesting anecdote or personal story• A powerful quotationThis hooks your audience's interest right away so they'll listen closely to learn more.Use Humor and ExamplesNobody wants to hear someone just rattle off dry facts and information. Throughout your speech, throw in some humor through funny stories or jokes related to your topic. This lighter material gives audience members a mental break and keeps them engaged. Also try to incorporate examples, comparisons, and visuals that your audience can easily relate to. If you're talking about reducing plastic waste, mention relatable examples like plastic bags, water bottles, and straws. These connections will reinforce your key points.Interact With Your AudienceDon't just recite your speech while staring at the back wall. There's no better way to lose people's interest and attention! Instead, work on making your delivery interactive and engaging. While speaking, make eye contact with different individuals in the audience. See their smiles, nods, and looks of interest as confirmation that they're following along. Pause occasionally to ask rhetorical questions that capture their minds. You could evenget them involved by asking them to quickly share thoughts with a neighbor or respond briefly to a simple query. This participation and eye contact turns your speech into more of a dialogue, keeping the audience plugged in. They'll stay tuned to see what you say and do next!Project Confidence and EnthusiasmEven if you're feeling shaky inside, you'll seem much more credible and convincing if you "fake it 'til you make it." In other words, act confident and enthusiastic for your topic so your audience gets inspired by your energy and beliefs.Use confident body language by standing up straight with your shoulders back. Don't cross your arms or constantly fidget. Deliver your words with varying volumes, speeds, and inflections to illustrate your passion for the subject. Soon, your initially nervous feelings may disappear as you become absorbed in the animated flow of your speech.End With a Call to ActionYou'll leave your audience feeling revved up and motivated if you conclude your speech with a call to action. This is when you spell out exactly what you want them to do based on the compelling points you made throughout your talk. For instance, you could charge them to:• Sign a petition to enact a change you proposed• Donate to a meaningful caus e you discussed• Make conscious daily choices related to the issue• Research the topic further on their own• Share the important information you providedAn emphatic closing strengthens your overall impact so your speech's purpose really hits home.Following these tips will help transform you into a confident, capable public speaker whose message really lands with audiences. It allows you to captivate others while sharing insights, opinions, stories and calls to action. Public speaking may feel scary at first, but keeping these techniques in mind will put you on the path to delivering impactful speeches that just might change the world!。

如何做一个成功的演讲者 英语作文
如何做一个成功的演讲者英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1How to Be a Successful Public SpeakerPublic speaking can be scary, but it's also super cool when you get good at it! I've had to do presentations in class a few times, and while I was really nervous at first, I've learned some tricks that helped me become a confident public speaker. If you follow these tips, you'll be able to give awesome speeches and presentations too!First, you have to prepare a lot before your speech. Don't just wing it! You need to make sure you know everything about your topic inside and out. Read books, watch videos, and talk to experts so you really understand what you'll be talking about. Once you feel like you're an expert too, you can start planning out what you're going to say.Next, make an outline for your speech. Decide on the most important points you want to make and put them in a good order that flows nicely. You can use note cards to write down your main ideas and some key details you don't want to forget. But don't write out your whole speech word-for-word, or else you might just end up reading boringly from your notes the whole time.Practice is so important for public speaking! You have to go over your speech again and again until you feel really comfortable with the material. Time yourself to make sure you're not going too long or too short. Practice in front of a mirror, your family, your pets, anyone who will listen! The more you practice, the less nervous you'll be when it's time for the real thing. When you're actually giving your speech, there are some important things to keep in mind. First, watch your body language! Stand up tall with your shoulders back and make eye contact with your audience. Smile and try not to fidget too much. You want to look confident, even if you're feeling a little nervous inside. Also, speak slowly and clearly. Don't rush through your speech or mumble your words. Take pauses between your main points to breathe. Varying your tone and volume a little bit can make your speech more interesting and engaging too. Don't be afraid to move around the stage a little as well, but not too much that it gets distracting.Using visual aids like slides, props, or diagrams can really help your audience understand and remember what you're saying. Just don't go overboard with too many visuals that are confusing. Pick a few good ones that enhance your key points. If you're using slides, keep them simple with not too many words or crazy animations. Most importantly, try to make your speech fun and relatable! Tell jokes, use analogies, and give examples that your audience can understand. Personal stories can also make your speech more interesting and help you connect better with your listeners. If you're passionate and enthusiastic about your topic, it will be way more engaging for the audience.Even if you mess up or get a little flustered during your speech, don't panic! Just pause, take a breath, and re-focus. The audience will probably barely notice, and pushing through confidently is much better than drawing attention to a small mistake. If there are questions at the end, make sure you listen carefully, be honest if you don't know an answer, and give thoughtful responses. Finally, after all your hard work, be proud of yourself! Public speaking is a really tough skill, and doing it well takes a lot of practice and courage. Pat yourself on the back, and think aboutwhat you could do even better next time. The more speeches you give, the more awesome you'll become.Giving speeches might always make you a little nervous, but that's normal and okay. Just remember to prepare thoroughly, practice a ton, engage your audience, and stay confident. Follow these tips, and you'll be a public speaking superstar! I know it from experience. My first few speeches were pretty rough, but now I'm able to give engaging, polished presentations that everyone loves. If I can do it, you can too!篇2How to Be a Successful Public SpeakerHave you ever had to get up in front of your whole class and give a speech or presentation? It can be really scary! Your heart starts beating really fast, your face gets all hot, and your mind goes blank. But being a good public speaker is an important skill that can help you a lot in school and life. Here are some tips for becoming a successful public speaker:Practice, Practice, PracticeThe most important thing is to practice your speech over and over again until you know it backwards and forwards. Stand in front of a mirror and give your speech to your reflection. Orgrab a stuffed animal audience and present to them. The more you practice out loud, the more comfortable and confident you'll become. My friend Jamie told me he likes to practice in the shower because there's no one around to hear the silly mistakes he makes sometimes. Practicing also helps you get the timing right so you don't go on too long or finish too quickly.Prepare Notes or Cue CardsEven though you'll practice a ton, it's still smart to have some notes or cue cards with you when you give the actual speech. That way, if your mind goes blank for a second, you can quickly glance at your notes to get back on track.Don't write out the entire speech on your cards - just make some simple bullet points to remind you of the key things you want to cover. You don't want to just read off a script the whole time.Project Your VoiceWhen you're in front of the class or audience, remember to speak loudly and clearly so everyone can hear you. Pretendyou're talking to someone at the very back of the room. Yourvoice should fill up the whole space. If you're too soft and mumbly, people will lose interest fast.To help project, take some nice deep breaths before you start talking. And slow down a little - don't try to race through your speech. Pausing for a couple seconds between sentences is OK too.Make Eye ContactScan the room and make eye contact with different people in the audience. Try not to just stare at the wall or podium the whole time. Making eye contact helps you connect with your listeners and keep them engaged. It shows confidence too!You can pick out a few friendly faces to look at during parts of your speech if locking eyes with everyone freaks you out. Just don't ignore the audience completely.Use Hand GesturesDon't just stand up there like a statue! Use some hand motions and gestures to add emphasis and energy to your words. For example, you could use your hands to count off three main points you're making. Or point to a prop or visual aid when you want to draw attention to it.Just don't go overboard with too much wild arm waving. A few natural hand movements will make your presentation look polished. Practicing in front of a mirror can help you get comfortable with gesturing.Speak With EnthusiasmYour tone and energy level are so important for engaging your audience. Think about how bored you get when your teacher just drones on and on in a monotone voice. Zzzzz.... Don't be that person!Try to sound excited and enthusiastic about your topic, even if you're feeling pretty nervous inside. Vary your vocal inflections, speeds and volumes. This will make your speech way more interesting to listen to. If you're speaking about something you really love, let that passion shine through!Stay CalmIt's perfectly normal to feel a few butterflies in your stomach before giving a speech. But try not to let the nerves take over. Do some deep breathing exercises beforehand to relax. Visualize your success! If you make a small mistake during the speech, just keep on going like it's no big deal. Chances are, most people didn't evennotice the little slip up. The more speeches you give, the more comfortable you'll get.Tell a StoryPeople love stories! So instead of just listing off a bunch of dry facts and information, try to weave your points into an engaging narrative. For example, if you're giving a book report, walk the audience through the main character's exciting journey and challenges.Adding personal stories and examples that connect to your topic can be really powerful too. Just make sure they are relevant and help get your main point across.Use Visual AidsCharts, photos, video clips or object props can be very useful for helping you explain or emphasize your key points. They add variety and make your presentation more dynamic and attention-grabbing.Just don't go overboard with too many visuals that will be distracting or confusing. Simple aids that reinforce your main ideas are best. And remember to physically interact with your visual aids instead of just letting them sit there.Ask QuestionsGetting your audience involved and engaged is important for being a successful speaker. So ask them questions once in a while, like "How many of you have experienced this before?" Or say "Let me know if this makes sense so far."You can even take a quick informal poll on your topic. Just be prepared that asking questions might throw off your timing if people start piping up with extra comments.Be YourselfMost importantly, don't try to be someone you're not when giving a speech. Let your authentic personality shine through! If you're naturally a bit goofy and like to crack jokes, go ahead and sprinkle in some humor (just don't go overboard with too many bad puns). If you're more of a serious person, that's cool too. Just speak from the heart in a way that feels genuine and comfortable for you. The audience can sense when you're faking it or trying too hard to be something you're not.Giving speeches and presentations can be pretty scary at first. But if you prepare properly, stay calm, and just be yourself, you'll do great! The more practice you get, the more confidence you'll gain. Who knows, you could become such an awesomepublic speaker that you'll get to travel around the world giving talks to huge audiences one day. Just take it step by step and speech by speech. Good luck!篇3How to Be a Successful Public SpeakerPublic speaking can feel super scary! Having to stand up in front of a big group of people and talk while everyone is looking at you makes a lot of kids feel nervous. But public speaking is an important skill, and the more you practice it, the easier it will get. I'm going to share some tips that can help you become a confident and successful public speaker. The first step is to pick a topic that you're really interested in and know a lot about. It's much easier to give a good speech on something you actually care about instead of something boring that you don't know much about. Think about your favorite book, movie, video game, sport, animal, or hobby and consider doing your speech on that topic.Once you've chosen your topic, you need to do lots of research and planning. Read books and websites to learn as much as you can about the subject. Take good notes and organize all the cool facts and details you find into an outline foryour speech. Having a clear outline will make the writing process much simpler. When you start writing your speech, begin with a strong introduction that grabs the audience's attention right away. You could share an interesting fact, tell a funny joke or personal story related to your topic, or ask the audience a thought-provoking question. The introduction should get people excited about listening to the rest of your speech. The main body of your speech is where you'll explain your topic using all the information you gathered during your research. Break this part into 3-5 main points, and include lots of specific details, examples, and explanations for each one. Use simple words that everyone can understand, and try to explain things in a clear, logical order that makes sense. It's also a great idea to include visual aids like pictures, diagrams, or PowerPoint slides in your speech. Having something for the audience to look at while you talk will help keep them interested and make your presentation more engaging and fun.As you're writing, practice delivering your speech out loud several times. Speaking slowly, clearly, and with lots of energyand enthusiasm will make you sound more confident and natural in front of the audience.Don't forget to wrap up with a strong conclusion that reminds everyone of your main points and leaves them with an interesting final thought to ponder. You could end by summarizing your key ideas, making a call to action, asking a rhetorical question, or sharing an inspirational quote related to your topic. On the day of your speech, be sure to dress nicely and arrive early. Take some deep breaths to stay calm and relax. Make eye contact with different people in the audience, and speak slowly and loudly enough for everyone to hear you clearly. Most importantly, don't be afraid to let your passion and personality shine through as you speak! The more expressive and enthusiastic you are, the more interested and engaged your audience will be. Imagine you're just talking to a group of friends about something you really love.Public speaking takes a lot of practice, but these tips should help make it easier and less scary. Just have fun with it and do your best. The more experience you gain through giving speeches and presentations, the more confident and successful you'll become as a public speaker. Public speaking is when you talk in front of a big group of people, like your whole class or even more folks than that. It can be scary at first, but if you follow my tips, you'll be a pro in no time! The first step is to pick a topic that you're really interested in and know a lot about. That way, you'll sound like an expert when you're talking. It could be your favorite book, video game, sport, animal, or anything else that gets you excited. The more you love your topic, the easier it will be to speak about it confidently.Next, you need to do your research! Look up facts about your topic online or in books from the library. Take good notes on little index cards so you don't forget any important details. Gathering lots of information will make you feel prepared and knowledgeable when it's time for your speech. Now it's time to start writing out what you're going to say. Don't just read straight from a piece of paper though - that's boring! Instead, make an outline with the key points you want to cover. Use that outline to practice giving your speech out loud over and over. The more you practice, the less nervous you'll be.Here's a pro tip - try giving your speech to a stuffed animal, your pet, or even your little brother or sister first. That way you can get used to having an audience before the big day. My dog Rufus is a great listener! When you're writing your speech, remember to use nice descriptive words to paint a picture in the audience's mind. Instead of just saying "The tiger was big," you could say "The fierce Bengal tiger loomed over me with stripes the color of flames." See how much more exciting and interesting that is?It's also super important to have a strong opening line that grabs everyone's attention right away. You could ask a question, tell a joke, or share a surprising fact related to your topic. Justdon't say something like "Hi, my name is Jamie and today I'm going to talk about..." That's way too boring! Get them hooked from the very beginning.Remember to speak clearly and loudly so everyone can hear you, even the people in the back row. But don't yell at them either – just use your biggest "classroom voice." Pause occasionally to take breaths and make eye contact by looking around at different people in the audience. Smiling and having good posture will make you look confident too.About halfway through, you'll want to pause for a second and say something like "Now that I've covered the basics, let me tell you about..." That's called SIGNPOSTING and it keeps the audience engaged by letting them know what's coming next.No matter what though, don't rush! Speak at a nice slow pace and don't be afraid to stop for a couple seconds if you need to gather your thoughts. Getting flustered and going too fast is one of the biggest public speaking mistakes.Near the end, you should have a very clear conclusion that sums up all the key points you've covered. Maybe you could even finish with a call to action, like asking the audience a question to think about or something they can do related to yourtopic. A strong closing line is just as important as a great opening! Finally, the most important thing is to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! The more you rehearse, the more confident and natural you'll sound. You've got this! Those are all my best tips for being an amazing public speaker. Just remember to pick a topic you love, do thorough research, outline your key points, use descriptive language, have an engaging opening and closing, speak slowly and clearly, make eye contact, and smile! Before you know it, you'll be so comfortable in front of a crowd.Public speaking can seem really scary, but it's also an incredibly useful skill that will help you in school, your future career, and just about any part of life. Just take it step-by-step and don't be afraid to go for it. You may even inspire others with your words one day! Let me know if you have any other questions.。

Negotiation exists in many situations in human life. Negotiation is not found only in businesses; it is often necessary to make decisions with friends, family and yourself. When you're skilled in negotiation, you can build trust and good relationships. There are three tips that improve yourself to be a successful negotiator.Ⅰ. Define what is Going to be AchievedWhat is being achieved in the particular situation should be clearly identified and defined. Negotiations occur when there are conflicts, which in turn are resulted from disputes over stakes of negotiating parties. Two parties will naturally fight for each other` own interests and make every effort to gain more from the other side. The negotiation players should ask themselves what the business will give up in order to get what each wants from the other. It is important to ensure that this is clearly defined and identified from the beginning to avoid confusion at the negotiating table. For example, the long lasting negotiations between Israel and Syria on returning of 11% of the territory Israel agreed to return, there is a lake providing fresh water to Israel people. Because of serious shortage of fresh water in that area, the lake became very vital to the people of both countries. Israel government` target in the negotiation was to make sure that after the returning of the territory, Israel could continuously fetch water from the lake. So the water issue became the focus of the negotiation and increased complexity of the talk. There are similar conflicts like territory in Kashmir, oil in the Middle East and diamond in the south Africa.Ⅱ.The introduction of win-win concept. In some negotiations, a gain for one party means an equal loss for the other. A successful negotiator tries to work out a solution that is mutually beneficial for both parties. If concessions are made, they should be done in exchange of something in return, still beneficial for both. The core of the win-win concept is mutual success and convergence of interests. By mutual success, they mean under the condition that one party tries to gain his utmost interests or at least takes action not detrimental to one's own interest, each party may find one way or another to satisfy more or less the counterpart's interest as well. For example, when you go tobuy a car, you want the lowest price and the salesman wants the highest. Another example is a negotiation regarding one's salary, an employer wants to pay as little as possible and you want the opposite. However, some benefits exist for balancing the salary: add in flextime, telecommuting, vacation, etc. These benefits are more than zero in a negotiation and both sides can reach an agreement.Win-win theory has proved to be successful and effective in many tough negotiations because it takes into full consideration of both side's interest, which contribute greatly to the mutual understanding of negotiating parties, therefore, it can produce twice the result with the half effort.Ⅲ. The introduction of collaborative principled negotiation, which can be divided into three components as follow.A. Separate People from the ProblemFirstly, negotiators are humans. Therefore, both negotiators have their own perceptions and feelings. The other party most definitely also want something out of the transaction, therefore, each position should be taken into consideration. The technique is never to attack, but to stay objective. For example, you may feel uncomfortable when your counterpart appears arrogant and superior, so you probably throw out something to knock off his arrogance, which may further irritate him and make him take retaliation action.B. Focus on Mutual Interests and Not PositionsThe focus should not be on positions but rather on mutual interests. An effective negotiator keeps in mind that the other party may be trying to achieve the same goal but may be using different negotiation tactics or strategies. It would be helpful if concerns are shared on achieving an outcome that satisfies the desired result. This opinion can be well demonstrated as follow example: there are two man quarreling in a library. One wants the window open and the other wants it closed. They argue back and forth about how much to leave it open: a crack, halfway, three quarters of the way. At this time a librarian enters, she asks one why he wants the window open:” To getsome fresh air.” She asks the other why he wants the window closed:” to avoid the draft. ”After think for a minute, she opens wide a window in the next room, bringing in fresh air without a draft.C. invent options for mutual gainThe idea of inventing options for mutual gain provides an approach to the fulfillment of the two parties demands. When looking for mutual gain, a major block to creative problem-solving lies in the assumption of a fixed pie: the less for you, the more for me. Actually, there almost always exists the possibility of joint gain. This may take the form of developing a mutually advantageous relationship , or of satisfying the interests of each side with a creative solution.1. Identify shared InterestsIn theory it is obvious that shared interests help produce agreement. By definition, inventing an idea which meets shared interests is good for you and good for them. In practice, however, the picture seems less clear. In the middle of a negotiation over price or a piece of land, shared interests may not appear obvious or relevant.2. Look for Options That Would Make the Decision Easier for ThemSince success for you in a negotiation depends upon the other side’s making a decision you want, you can do what you can to make that decision on easy one. Rather than make things difficult for the other side, you want to confront them with a choice that is as painless as possible. Impressed with the merits of their own case, people usually pay too little attention to ways of advancing their case by taking care of interest on the other side. Let me take another case as example :By the middle of 1980s Hong Kong `s silk market was mainly taken by Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong product. The director of Shao xing Silk Plant, FanShizhou, decided to open new markets, they start producing silk with printed in small quantity for each kind and rich variety. An American saleswoman, Edwart Nicolar, came into Shaoxing Plant, and ordered 7 patterns at the price of$3.8 per yard. But Fan claimed that the price was not at all high because it cost him $5 for buying plain silk and $0.36 for printing. After A back and forth negotiation, they made a deal at the price of $3 per Yard with the condition of American party providing the plain silkOnly we master the art of negotiation, can anyone use to improve their life and career.。
