By these, you know, there’er lots of conflicts between them, but at last,Darcy and Elizabeth, the two different even opposite youngsters fall love .That’s very incredible. In fact,we are always pride and think something in our mind but not right,we assess the others only depend on their background or their color of skin,we hide our true heart and pretend,we dispise the others without any reason……But why don’t we ask ourselves in our heart or mind: what do we feel in fact? What do we need in fact? What do we hate and love in fact? Why not express our real feelings at once? Why not chase the happy we really want ?If we can go through the hindrances that set by ourselves,if we can express the true feelings we have and say it out loudly and clearly to somebody we want to tell with,if we can give up the contumely and spurns which block us to get long well wigh the otherswo love,if we can live together harmony and sincere,if ……If that day really es,the love will e too. One day, I read a book called pride and prejudice. The author of this book is Austin. She comes from a pastors family. She lives in the countryside of England most of her life, so she knows the local customs very well. Most of her works are from the lives she is familiar with.Pride and Prejudice is mainly about the love story between Darcy and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is the second daughter of Bennetts family, the heroine of the book. She is intelligent, beautiful, intelligent, and eager for true love. Because of the prejudice against Darcy, she easily refused Darcys proposal, which led to many twists and turns in their relationship. At last she got rid of prejudice. Darcy is a young man with rich family and noble title. He was noble in appearance, flexible in mind and kind in heart, and he was very kind even to his enemy, Weiken. However, he is considered arrogant because of his bad association with strangers. After accepting Elizabeths criticism modestly, he won Elizabeths love. This let me know that a person cant be arrogant because of hisfamilys wealth, cant guess others at will, and has prejudice against others. Elizabeth resourcefulness, have courage, visionary, have very strong self-respect, and be good at thinking. It is because of this quality, just make her have independent opinion on the emotional problems, and prompted her and the darcy position content family. Books as the name implies, pride and prejudice, and in the book is male leading the obstacle of the love, but in the real society is also a munication barriers between people, but also in the right attitude towards themselves, treat things in a stumbling block. In real life, we will also often because of his unilateral idea but myself with others, so we have to overe the "pride and prejudice", take the initiative to understand others. Each person actually are easy to be driven by their own subjective impression, and therefore easy to incorrect ment on other people, thus caused the misunderstanding between each other. A man give first impression is can affect many things, but not must not change, want to have a more in-depth understanding, in order to have a more objective point argument, just like the heroine of the story of darcy's view,is because understanding just change. The book reaction of social reality is so hit the nail on the head, she is about marriage, has nothing to do with love. Pride and Prejudice was written by Jane Austen. The author was born in 1775 in Hampshireand passed away in 1817 at the age of fourty-three. It describes a love story mainly between Elisabeth, who I like the best, and a rich and proud man, Darcy. The story began with the arrival of a crowd of rich men who rent a house near the Bennet. In a ball, Elisabeth gave such a bad impression on Darcy's first pride that she refused Darcy's first proposal. Darcy was so surprised by Elisabeth's refusal that he loved Elisabeth more deeply. And Elisabeth's antipathy made Darcyrealize his shortcomings. He was not angry about Elisabeth's censure, but also he changed his previous proud attitude. During Elisabeth's travel in Darcy's manor。
Impressions of Pride and PrejudiceI?ve read a book called Pride and Prejudice written by Jane Austen during this winter holidays. Jane Austen was unmarried all her life. She was born in a mid-class family and was brought up in a comfortable environment with harmonious surroundings, so there?s not too many conflicts in her sight neither in her novel. In Pride and Prejudice she talked different ideas about love and marriage through different characters. The novel has told an interesting story: Mr. Bennet is an English gentleman with an estate in Hertfordshire. He has five unmarried daughters but no sons while his inheritance must be inherited by a male, so Mrs. Bennet has been keen to seek husband for her daughters with great enthusiasm. One day the Bennets had a new neighbor called Bingley who was a wealthy bachelor and followed be the target of Mrs. Bennet. At a ball Bingley fell in love with Jane Bennet who?s the oldest daughter of the Bennets. Bingley?s friend Darcy also came to the ball and struck the sights, many girls liked him while he thought all of them couldn?t suit his preference, including Elizabeth. Mr. Darcy always shows others a impressionof pride, having found this Elizabeth began to hate Mr. Darcy. Before long Darcy fell in love with Elizabeth Bennett(second oldest daughter in the Bennets) because of her lovely behavior, while Elizabeth is disgusted by his pride and has a prejudice about him. The official Wickham was welcomed by the villagers, and Elizabeth also took a shine to him. Wickham told Elizabeth that his father had been the steward of the Darcys. The old Darcy had regarded Wickham as his own son and showed more love to him than toMr. Darcy. After the old Darcy died, the property should be inherited by Wickham was all deprived by Mr. Darcy, also was his pastorate. All this increased Eli?s prejudice about Mr. Darcy. At another ball Mr. Darcy invited Elizabeth to dance with him, but Eli refused him. Eli?s elder male cousin Mr. Collin came to Hertfordshire to inherit the Bennett s property by rules, he wanted to marry with one of the Bennets. Having known that Jane was already engaged with Mr. Bingley, he asked Elizabeth to marry him but was seriously rejected. At last he proposed to Charllote who was Eli?s friend. Mr. Collins was good at flattering and he got the pastorate with the help of Lady Catherine. Once hisfamily was invited to Rosings Garden by Lady Catherine. Elizabeth also went there with Mr. Collin and Charllote. There she met Mr. Darcy who?s Lady Catherine?s nephew. Later in a garden, Sir William told Eli about Mr. Darcy?s latest act of dissuading Mr. Bingley?s marring Jane Bennet which caused Eli?s e_ceedingly anger. Then Mr. Darcy came to the Collins? and confessed his love for Elizabeth, of course he was rejected impolitely. Afterwards Mr. Darcy wrote a letter to Eli in order to remove her misunderstandings of him. Elizabeth?s uncle and aunt were also impressed by Mr. Darcy?s politeness. Gradually Eli?s prejudice of Mr. Darcy diappeared. Eventually they became couple. The writer Jane Austen disclosed mid-class young ladies? different ideas of marriage and love through describing the different ways in which the Bennet girls doing with their marriage problems ,and this undoubtedly shows the writer?s idea about love and marriage: it?s wrong to get married just for property, wealth and status while neither would it be without caring about those elements.Jane Austen just attached great significance to marriage through her novel by telling people that marriage shouldbe regarded carefully cause it is not a game you could just enjoy withoutprudent consideration. She also wanted to deliver information that marriage should be based on real love between the lovers. The female subject Elizabeth is a mid-class girl, and Darcy proposed to her regardless of the gap between them, but Elizabeth refused because of his pride had formed Eli?s prejudice. Cause Darcy?s pride was a suggest of status gap between he and Eli, he wouldn?t have the same thought with Eli and consequently the ideal marriage. But later Darcy?s doings especially his change of the prideful manner eliminated Eli?s misunderstandings and prejudice about him, and Eli accepted his proposal. Those two opposite attitudes reflect female?s pursue of independent personality and equality. I think Elizabeth has personality ethic which caused her independent idea about love and marriage and in consequence she earned a happy life. There?re also Eli?s sisters? love stories served as contrasts to the female subject?s ideal marriage, such as Charlotte and Collin?s life: they do had a lu_ury life, but there?s no real love between them and this kind of marriage issurely a tragedy of society.《傲慢与偏见》中描写了五种婚姻关系,有班奈特夫妇的轻率之爱,简和宾利的世俗之爱,伊丽莎白和达西的内涵之爱,丽迪亚和韦翰的肉欲之爱,柯林斯与篇二:傲慢与偏见读后感英文Reflection of Pride and PrejudiceI’ve read it during this semester. This book, written by Jane Austen, is published by China International Broadcasting Publishing House in _ and has 475 pages.Jane Austen is an English famous writer. Her compositions focus on country females’ marriage and their life. She describes her apperceive to the world with her own special perspective and humor words. Although Austen was only _ when she wrote this novel, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. The main idea is: Mr. Bennet has five daughters. With the daughters’grow older, finding husbands for their daughters become Mrs. Bennet’s priority thing. Their family belongs to middle class. Mrs. Bennet is a very vulgar and power person. Their neighbor Charles Bingley is a single man who possesses lots of property. And Mrs. Bennet urges her husband to visit Bingley. In her mind, she has listed him as a son-in-law. At a ball, Mrs. Bennet tries her best to introduce her daughters to rich person actively. Bingley’s friend called Fitzwilliam Darcy, an imposing, wealthy, noble and dignified man. He becomes a focus for many beautiful girls. Mrs. Bennet’s is very eager to introduce her daughters to middle and upper class people. Her behaviors are very comical, and she is like a clown for Mr. Darcy. He feels very disgust with Mrs. Bennet’s behaviors and also looks down upon her. But these girls find Darcy’s shortcomings soon. He takes up with Elisabeth; she is Mrs. Bennet’s second daughter. Because of many comple_ misunderstands they missed each other. Then, Elisabeth receives a letter from Darcy and they overcome their prejudices to each other. At last they fall in love and Elisabeth’s sisters also find their true love. And the novel ends in a happy atmosphere. In the eighteenth century, the British Empire is in the peak period. But the British social’s influence spread the whole country. For e_ample, people’s views about snobbishness, vanity and ideas on marriage. The condition of marriage is the man should have a good social position and the woman should have good dowry. So their combination is happy to their family. Everythingis based on money and social position during that time. In my opinion, it looks like marriage is a combination of money. But marital relationship is based on respect and affection but not money. The author opposes marry for money and emphasizes importance of marriage.Austen uses irony art permeates the whole novel and throughout thedevelopment of plot. On the other hand, the language description and the figures’ psychological activity are verypicturesque. “It is a truth universally acknowled ged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.” The au thor uses humorous satire e_aggerating technique, reflects Mrs. Bennet’s false and deceit. In one word, this book is an illustration of the society at that time.In this novel, the whole structure is very precise, the figures’characteristic are distinct and full of their own features. It shows this novel’s unique charming. On the other hand, it reflects the author’s artistic and ideological content. So it is worth reading.

1During the holiday, I read a book called pride and prejudice, which is very good-looking. It makes me feel a lot, and I also feel a lot.Pride and Prejudice is the representative work of Jane Austen, a famous British writer. It describes the emotional entanglement between the arrogant single youth Darcy and the prejudiced second Miss Elizabeth, the wealthy single aristocrat Bingley and the virtuous first Miss Jane. This book makes me realize that people should get along with each other harmoniously and dont misunderstand each other because of a small matter. We should also learn to understand each other, not because of other peoples provocation and constitute harm to others; learn to tolerate each other. Makeour society better. This book also makes me feel that this pair of “arrogance” and “Prejudice” have a happy marriage after many setbacks. We should not give up because of a little setback. We should learn to persist. 2One day, I read a book called pride and prejudice. The author of this book is Austin. She comes from a pastors family. She lives in the countryside of England most of her life, so she knows the local customs very well. Most of her works are from the lives she is familiar with.Pride and Prejudice is mainly about the love story between Darcy and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is Bennetts second daughter, the heroine of the book. She is intelligent, beautiful, intelligent, and eager for true love. Because of the prejudice against Darcy, she easily refused Darcys proposal, which led to many twists and turns in their relationship. At last she got rid of prejudice.Darcy is a young man with rich family and noble title. He was noble in appearance, flexible in mind and kind in heart, and he was very kind even to his enemy, Weiken. However, he isconsidered arrogant because of his bad association with strangers. After accepting Elizabeths criticism modestly, he won Elizabeths love. This let me know that a person cant be arrogant because of his familys wealth, and he cant guess others at will and be prejudiced against others.《傲慢与偏见》英文读后感200字3Pride and Prejudice is the work of Jane Austen, a British woman writer. The scope of this work is only three or four families in a village, with Elizabeth as the main character. The main plot is nothing more than the chat about marriage and property in the front of the fireplace and in the meeting of relatives and friends, the bee chase and butterfly chase in the market, church, dance, banquet and other occasions, and the love talk. The arrogance of Darcy and the prejudice of the heroine all have obvious class attribute. Their frustrations in love are not due to their accidental misunderstanding, but because there is an inevitable gap between the two sides in different class status. Elizabeth, as a middle-class common girl, only by virtue of the charm of her personality and her excellent quality, won the fame and fortune of the noble young master, and finally became a good couple with her. This is another copy of Cinderellas story. The same is true in life. Only by putting down the arrogant attitude, throwing away the prejudiced vision, treating with empathy, and understanding each other through communication, can we know each other. Like Mr. Darcy in the book, although the appearance gives the impression of arrogance, arrogance and superciliousness. But the heart is kind and sincere and willing to let go, its attitude of not stubborn is really appreciated.《傲慢与偏见》英文读后感200字4If we talk about world literature, there must be the name of pride and prejudice, because this book reflects the social values and customs of the whole country with the social feelings of a town, which is a great work. After I borrowed this book from the library, I couldnt help but start to read it. The novel is about a small town in England. Elizabeths mother has been worrying about her daughters marriage. She wants her to marry a rich man and live a life in the upper class in the future. The story begins here. Because of the different classes and concepts, this love is very tortuous However, the ending of the story is satisfactory.Read this book: I despise enisabers mother very much. She is so snobbish and money worship. Human happiness and marriage are not mainly determined by money, but must be based on emotion. In addition, I think the authors literary achievements are very high. Using a small town to epitomize the whole Britain is a very good writing skill and ability.。

1 Pride and Prejudice was written by Jane Austen. The author was born in 1775 in Hampshireand passed away in 1817 at the age of fourty-three. It was first published in1813 and has been one of the greatest novels ever since then.It has been translated into numbers of languages and several movies have been made based on the original novel. It tells of a love stor between Elizabeth and Darcy as well as Elizabeth’s sister. It consists of 42 chapters in all. Mr. Darcy is the hero who is rich and proud. Elizabeth is the second daughter while Jane is the first daughterEverything starts with Bingley’s arrival. When Mrs.Bennet hear Bingley has bought a house near her home .The mother of four daughters is so happy and conceived that one of her daughters will beome his wife. Fortunately, Bingley and Jane met at an evening dancing party and they soon fell in love with each other. However,Darcy, Bingley’s best friend , was also attracted byElizabeth’fascination but Darcy rudeness and pride toward Elizabethe greatly annoyed her and her impression for Darcy was even worsened by Wickham, a military officer she met who claimed to have grown up with Darcy. What was worse Bingley’s two sisters deliberately separated Bingley and Jane. And Elizabether turned dowm the marriage proposal from her cousin, Collins, who will inherit all the properties when her father died. WhenDarcy sent Elizabeth a letter to tell the truth and reveal the wicked Wickham rumours about him.Elizabeth changed her thoughts and finally found herself deeply in love with him. When she visited her uncle and aunt in northern England, she encountered Darcy found him to be almost perfect, gentle and no longer proud any more,They eventually married and also brought Bingley and Jane altogher.Just like Darcy propose marriage to Elizabeth in spite of her scarcity of property and social status, but is rejected by Elizabeth for his pride and weaknesses. As long as either side’s pride existed , no love can be seeked. And eiter side should try to find the other’s virtues and variations towards a good will.In the novel ,when Elizabeth found Darcy is no longer proud she finally engaged with him and lived a happy marriage. 2 Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters. The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) Kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. When I read the book, I can always find the same personalitiesin the society now. That is why I think this book is indeed the representative of the society in Britain in the 18th century. The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen’s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book. The first sentence in this book is impressive. It reads: “It is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife〞. The undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession. People always think that Austen was an expert at telling love stories. In fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. After reading this book, I know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.I couldn’t forget how eager Mrs. Bennet wants to marry off her daughters. If you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, I must mention the situation in Britain at that time. Only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his father’s possessions. Younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. Thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. Jane Austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century. In “Pride and Prejudice〞, the sister of Mr. Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennets don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. From this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marrya wealthy husband. The society, the relatives would not allow them to get married. In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything〞 is still rooted in some people’s mind. A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages. Education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can money determine everything?Austen left this problem for us to think. The genius of Jane Austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. Although Austen was only 21 when she wrote “Pride and Prejudice〞, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. The plots in her works are always very natural. The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.Pride and Prejudice小说英语读后感3 then man treat GRat event in ones life with punishing, Demonstrate different attitudes to the love question of the marriage of young girl of the family origin of middle class of villages and towns, Thus reflected authors oneselfs marriage view: It is wrong to get married for the property, money and position; Get married and does not consider that above-mentioned factors are unwise too . Mrs. Bonnet had no other wish if her five daughters could get married as soon as possible with someone wealthy. At a dancing ball, it is obvious that Mr. Bingley could not help falling in love at the first sight with Miss Jane because of her stunning beauty. Mrs. Benne was so excited that she could not hold her manner and declared publicly she would have a daughter married soon, which frightened Mr. Bingley away. Mr. Collins, a distance nephew of Mr. Bennet, came to ask a marriage to one of his cousins before Mrs. Bennet was able to get clear why Mr. Bingley left suddenly. After receiving the hint from Mrs. Bennet that Jane already had an admirer, Mr. Collins turned to Elizabeth without wasting a minute and to Miss Charlotte Lucas two days later after refused by Elizabeth. It was difficult for Mrs. Bennet to recover herself as a result of the“deadly stupid” decision made by Elizabeth until she got the news that Lydia finally married Mr. Wickham, though the marriage was built on the basis of ten thousand pounds. Mr. Darcy offered the money and did everything departing from his will just because he loved Elizabeth so much. ()He could not hide his feelings any more and showed his affection to Elizabeth at last, who, because of a series of misunderstandings towards him, rejected him without hesitation. This plot is the climax of the novel as the prejudice of Elizabeth to Mr. Darcy was exposed and removed since then. And the bination of the two young couples, Jane and Bingley, Elizabeth and Darcy came at last.傲慢与偏见英文读后感篇二the novel opens with the famous line, "it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."。

Body:As we all know, if you know something about the authors background, you will appreciate the book on a profounder and better level. The book first published in 1813, as Jane Austen’s second novel, she started it 1796 as her first persevering effort for publication. She finished the original manuscript by 1797 in Steventon, Hampshire, where she lived with her parents and siblings in the town rectory. Austen originally called the story First Impressions, but it was never published under that title; instead, she made extensive revisions to the manuscript, then retitled and eventually published it as Pride and Prejudice. Austen in this novel was full of wit and humor reflected the late eighteenth Century, early nineteenth Century British country customs and living ways of the world, to give the art of imagination.(writing background) The book is mainly to tell the four couples’ marriages in eighteenth Century. One of the most important is naturally occurred between actress Elizabeth Bennet and actor Fitzwilliam Darcy about their hate and love. Elizabeth is a courageous, beautiful, smart, sturdy and lovable middle-class woman who pursues true love ignoring money and power. The story develops mainly relies on Elizabeth and Darcy, from the beginning of aversion to respect then love. Also, alternates in stories happen around Elizabeth’s happy or unhappy marriages to reveal the author’s hope living in true love at that era. The heroine Elizabeth first saw the male protagonist Darcy is not pleasing to her ey es, plus Darcy’s pride character causes Elizabeth to have prejudice against him. Darcy is unpopular arrogant man, even in the surrounding filled up cold relationship. For him, pride may be rational, however; prejudice may be heartless, both of which impact is unavoidable. Between two people there are often quarries and misunderstandingsconcerning Darcy’s pride and Elizabeth’s prejudice at the start. 傲慢与偏见英文读后感15篇傲慢与偏见英文读后感(一):I;m forced to read this novel at the beginning, but I can;t wait to finish it subsequently。
;It is a truth universally acknowledges that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife。
; This is just as Leo Tolstoy;s famous starting in 《Anna Karenina》: ;All happy families resemble one another, each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way;。
To begin with such a design,Jane Austen has her deep meaning。
Marriage and money are inseparable。
The undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession。
The author does not deny this。
So she uses typical Bennets to prove this truth。
The story takes place in the class-conscious England of the late 18thcentury。
The five Bennet sisters--including strong-willed Elizabeth and young Lydia--have all been raised by their mother with one purpose in life: finding a wealthy husband。

Jane Austen’s novels were witty, warm and ironic portraits of the privileged classes of 18th- and 19th-century England. It is universally acknowledged that the eternal theme of Jane Austen’s novels is the choice people make for marriage partners, so is in Pride and Prejudice. The chief business of Mrs. Bennet’s life was to find suitable husbands for her five daughters. Once she heard that Netherfield Park had been let out to a London gentleman named Mr. Bingley. She was so eager to get acquainted with Mr. Bingley and marry one of her daughter with the wealthy young man. Through Mr. Bennet’s effort, the Bennet attended the ball held in Mr. Bingley’s house. Mr. Bingley and Jane, the oldest Bennet daughter, a pretty girl of sweet and gentle disposition, were attracted to each other at once. His friend, Darcy, however, created a bad impression, seeming cold and extremely proud. In particular, he insulted Elizabeth Bennet, a girl of spirit and intelligence and her father’s favorite. He refused to dance with her whenshe was sitting down for lack of a partner. To his own surprise, Mr. Darcy couldn’t help falling love with Elizabeth and tried to please that smart girl. However, because of the bad impression he had left on her, Elizabeth refused and sneered at Darcy many times. Elizabeth turned disgusted with Mr. Darcy. She met the new officer, Mr. Wickham, and convinced Darcy’s insult to him. Darcy, however, found himself deeply in love with Elizabeth, despite her family, which he even advised Bingley not to marry Jane. Mr. Collins arrived at Longhorn, tried to marry one of the Bennets’ girl as amender. As he was refused by Elizabeth, he married Charlotte Lucas. During Elizabeth’s visit to the Collins in Kent, she met Lady Catherine as well as her nephew, Darcy, frequently. To her astonishment, Darcy proposed to her. Because of his participation in driving Bingley away from her sister, his wicked way of treating Wickham, and her own hatred of his pride, his sense of superiority and his selfish disdain, she refused him angrily and determinately. However, after reading the letter from Darcy in which explained his idea of Bingley and Jane and the detailed relationship between him and Wickham, she knew she had misjudged both Darcy and Wickham. Her trip to Pemberley certainly proved her heart to Darcy as Darcy had changed his behavior as well. When shelearned that it was Darcy who played a major role in marrying her eloped little sister, Lydia, to Wickham, there was no doubt that she loved him. They two finally went together.Among those characters in this novel, I hate Mrs. Bennet for she was such a snobbish and foolish woman. Her poor nurse urged her to do something disgusting and foolish. Those seemed to help her loved daughters but in fact, all out of her own vanity. I like Elizabeth most. She was the second daughter in the Bennet family, and the most intelligent and quick-witted, Elizabeth is the protagonist of Pride and Prejudice and one of the most well-known female characters in English literature. Her admirable qualities are numerous—she is lovely, clever, and, in a novel defined by dialogue, she converses as brilliantly as anyone. Her honesty, virtue, and lively wit enable her to rise above the nonsense and bad behavior that pervade her class-bound and often spiteful society. Nevertheless, her sharp tongue and tendency to make hasty judgments often lead her astray; Pride and Prejudice is essentially the story of how she (and her true love, Darcy) overcome all obstacles—including their own personal failings—to find romantic happiness. Elizabeth must not only cope with a hopeless mother, a distant father, two badly behavedyounger siblings, and several snobbish, antagonizing females, she must also overcome her own mistaken impressions of Darcy, which initially led her to reject his proposals of marriage. Her charms were sufficient to keep him interested, fortunately, while she navigates familial and social turmoil. As she gradually came to recognize the nobility of Darcy’s character, she realized the error of her initial prejudice against him. She knew her own mind and dare to say no. While sometimes she behaved in an extreme way because of her over self-esteem. Owing to her sensitive mother, she had to protect herself from insulting. Actually, besides Elizabeth, I took a lot interest in Mr. Darcy since the very beginning though he appeared as a proud, self-important man. Instead, such good-looking gentleman like Mr. Bingley did not attract me very much. In some cases, a man with perfect character would always have a velvet paw. Wickham is a typical example that so many people had been deceived by his appearance. As I like both the two roles, I am happy to see them finally get married.Darcy’s proud is evident. His talks, his expressions, every movement of him seemed to show his pride. But as I turning over the novel, I found a rather proud heart in Elizabeth as well. For a country girl, there would not be a lot to be proud of.However, living in a family of silly sisters and a gossipy mother whose mind was always full of marriage, the smart girl could not express herself. Each word she said seemed to protect herself from others, especially to those who were also proud such as Darcy. It was not always good for her; however, for a person like Darcy who had accepted so many compliments, it was really an attraction. If Elizabeth had not been too proud to show her disdain, she would never have had his eyes on her. And if Darcy had not been as generous and kind as he was written to be virtually, he would have hated Elizabeth instead of being attracted so deeply. However, it was her pride which blinded her from learning the truth. She misunderstood Darcy and seemed to dislike all the things which were involved with him. That might si mply be the meaning of the word “Prejudice”. Elizabeth was intelligent, analyzing the character of Mr. Wickham and Darcy; she soon sensibly realized her mistake and made every attempt she could to save it. She never lost her confidence and courage to fight for her own happiness in spite of her low-birth. Darcy also gave up the chances to marry a noble girl such as Miss. Bingley and his cousin. In this way, even if their characters are so different, their marriage was based on the same mind.Of all the chapters of the novel, I am most interested in Elizabeth’s trip to Pemberley with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner. This part itself is developed in a scene of the beauty of Pemberley. The main role, Elizabeth and the Gardiners are all intelligent people. Without the gossip of Mrs. Bennet and the noise of the 3 little sisters, the story goes on with great peace. Their meet with Darcy was both unexpected and expectable. It was unexpected because neither Elizabeth nor Darcy thought of meeting each other in such an agreeable situation. It was expectable because it was such an agreeable situation for them to meet each other again. It was their first meet after Darcy’s proposal. Darcy behaved unbelievably polite and their conversations with Georgiana, Darcy’s sister, went on naturally. It gave a sign that Elizabeth might have changed her hart and indeed, she did. Although the elopement of Lydia and Wickham seemed to disturb them, Darcy at last conquered his pride that he spent considerable time, effort and money on the 2 people he disdained. Another disturbance was Lady Catherine’s visit, but all of these seemed just to quicken their steps to marriage.Jane Austen must have been an idealist which most of the women writers could not avoid being. Charming roles are alwayscharming, disgusting roles are always disgusting. All the pride and prejudice are conquered. Everyone got they deserved to get. She showed us the human’s weakness, pride and prejudice through the novel. It is fragile of human nature which can be easily distorted simply by dissimilation, carelessness or even blindness. Upper-class status and advantages produce the Pride, while poverty and self-esteem against rich produce Prejudice. Pride and PrejudiceAfter reading , I really have lots to complain about. I truly don’t like the people in this novel. But why? I don’t know. Maybe I just don’t understand the realistic society and life and people’s ideas at that time in England, or maybeI am just such a person that always has a prejudice against everybody. The main roles I want to talk about in this novel, of course, are Darcy and Elizabeth.First, I want to say something about Elizabeth. After hearing Darcy’s bad comment on her, she said the words “I will never dance with him” so easily and so unwisely. Here we can know she is arrogant and she can’t stand Darcy’s contempt. But we also can see that she said the words too easily and tooabsolutely without thinking. What a fool! Who can predict what’s going to happen next moment? None! Long after this matter, we all know that she did dance with Darcy. At that time she may already forget the words that she had said before. But I will never forget her arbitrariness That Elizabeth believed Wickham’s words makes me more dislike her. It’s a common sense that one couldn’t be a real good guy, if he can say hurtful things about someone else naturally and directly. But Elizabeth believed. Now that she hated Darcy or you can say she had a prejudice toward Darcy from the very start, she can totally ignore him. However she cared about it very much. Maybe she started to love Darcy the minute she began to have a prejudice towards him. But who knows, and even she herself did not know. Another scene that Darcy showed his love to Elizabeth makes me totally dislike her, especially the words she said that “you are the last man in the world I could ever marry”. She said such irresponsible and hurtful things without any consideration. Actually, she misunderstood everything. I just want to say she is a sad and hateful person. What’s worse, she’s also a gutless person. Finally, she knew Wickham cheated her and Darcy was innocent and Darcy was a perfect gentleman. She found that she had already fallen in love with Darcy deeply. However, she did nothing but wept and regretted. She even didn’t have the courage to express her love to Darcy. As a modern girl, if I was her, I would fly to Darcy to admit my misunderstanding and express my true feelings to him in no time. Happiness is gained by one’s own efforts. If you don’t pursue the happiness, it’s almost impossible to enjoy it. Now what could I say about Elizabeth? I don’t think she would have a happy ending if there is no Darcy. Next, let me talk about Darcy. In the beginning, I like this gentleman. I admire him. When he said that “she is tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me, and I am in no humor at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men”, I a dmire him very much. He was an arrogant man. And also he had the enough capital to be arrogant. Yes, he was handsome and wealthy. And then some time later, he asked Elizabeth to marry him, for he fell in love with her. Unfortunately, he was severely rejected by Elizabeth at once, but I still like him. He was a lovely man, right? At least, I think so. However, at the very last he showed his love to Elizabeth once again, regardless of the hurtful words that Elizabeth said before. It makes me disappointment. Where’s his pride? I love his pride all the time, but now it disappeared. If I was Darcy, after hearing Elizabeth’s hurtful word, I wouldnever meet her again and I would even forget her name at once. And eventually he was a poor man that had lost his pride. These are all my opinions about Elizabeth and Darcy. By the way, I really can’t understand why the girls were so crazy about officers and how come Darcy’s love to Elizabeth developed so suddenly. is a classic novel that reflect the social reality, so no one in this novel is perfect. The perfect person does not exist in the world. And it gives me the opportunity to nit-pick. As a whole, they were all kind people in the real society. 1During the holiday, I read a book called pride and prejudice, which is very good-looking. It makes me feel a lot, and I also feel a lot. This book mainly talks about: at the dance, Elizabeth, a country lady from a decent family but without rich dowry, met Darcy, the son of a rich family. At that time, her arrogance annoyed Elizabeth. With villains provocation, Elizabeth misunderstood Darcy more and more deeply. Darcy, the prince of white horse, fell in love with the beautiful and lively "Cinderella" in one contact, but the difference between the two made Darcy always hold an arrogant attitude towards Elizabeth, which, together with Elizabeths growing misunderstanding of Darcy, constituted the contradiction between "Pride and slowness" and "Prejudice".This book makes me realize that people should get along with each other harmoniously and dont misunderstand each other because of a small matter. We should also learn to understand each other, not because of other peoples provocation and constitute harm to others; learn to tolerate each other. Make our society better. This book also makes me feel that this pair of "arrogance" and "Prejudice" have a happy marriage after many setbacks. We should not give up because of a little setback. We should learn to persist. Persistence is victory! Elizabeth is the second daughter of Bennetts family, the heroine of the book. She is intelligent, beautiful, intelligent, and eager for true love. Because of the prejudice against Darcy, she easily refused Darcys proposal, which led to many twists and turns in their relationship. At last she got rid of prejudice.Darcy is a young man with rich family and noble title. He was noble in appearance, flexible in mind and kind in heart, and he was very kind even to his enemy, Weiken. However, he is considered arrogant because of his bad association with strangers. After accepting Elizabeths criticism modestly, he won Elizabeths love. This let me know that a person cant be arrogant because of his familys wealth, cant guess others at will, and has prejudice against others. 3Pride and Prejudice is the work of Jane Austen, a British woman writer. The scope of this work is only three or four families in a village, with Elizabeth as the main character. The main plot is nothing more than the chat about marriage and property in the front of the fireplace and in the meeting of relatives and friends, the bee chase and butterfly chase in the market, church, ball, banquet and other occasions, and the love talk. But the heart is kind and sincere and willing to let go, its attitude of not stubborn is really appreciated. 4Smelling the faint ink fragrance in his nose, he turned the pages in his hand and read the lines in front of him quietly. Pride and Prejudice is a book that is often heard by others and feels good. I bought it home and realized it carefully. I didnt think it was good at the beginning. After reading it completely, I learned some philosophy and wisdom of life from it.Pride and prejudice, a novel by the British writer Austin, shows some of the daily life and rural scenery of the middle class in England, and opens a new page in the history of English novels.Elizabeth in the pursuit of love on the road, has been adhering to their original beliefs, not by the then door-to-door and wealth status of their own footsteps, adhere to the fate oftheir own destiny. She took control of her destiny and finally got a good marriage. Her character and spirit, all let me deeply admire. In addition, knowing that she misunderstood Darcy, she admitted her mistake and love to Darcy. She knew that the moral character that mistakes can change is what we should learn.Seeing the happy ending of this twists and turns fate, I am deeply gratified and look forward to it silently. I hope that all people can have the integration of rationality and sensibility, and truly manage their own happy life independently. 5"In order to property, money and position and the marriage is wrong; the marriage does not consider the above factors also stupid." This sentence can come to this book. One distinctive characters in "her" lifelike; Clever sensible Elizabeth, sincerity, persistence, darcy, gentle tolerant Jane, frivolous superficial Lydia, no mind, Mrs Bennett relatively ineffective Mr Bennett, selfish snobbish miss bingley, mighty lady Catherine, boring Collins, and so on. Among them, admirable, sympathetic, or a smile. In addition, the dialogue between the characters in the novel is also a feature of the novel. Elizabeth witty words, Mr Bennett its sarcasm to him, for the khans rhetoric, Collins rap wording, which make readers view. Do you know of who "she" is? "She" is the author -- Jane Austen. The book was welcomed by generations of readers, and love. "Pride and prejudice", published in 1813, a love story is novel, the novel of the communist party of China involves four marriage, but each have each characteristic. In a word, no matter from content and Austins novel narrative techniques, "pride and prejudice" is a classic.“为了财产、金钱和地位而结婚是错误的;而结婚不考虑上述因素也是愚蠢的。

Different People, Different MarriagesAbstract: Love is an eternal theme in 1itemture. In Pride and Prejudice, love stories are the main point. And there are four different marriages described in the story. By comparing these eight people’s characters and their four marriages, we can understand Jane Austen’s view towards marriage and imagine their life style at that time as well. Key words: Love marriage money social positionJane Austen had written many novels about love and marriage, and Pride and Prejudice is the most famous one. Pride and Prejudice is well known for Austen’s exploration of the ways in which a person’s self-concept and accompanying pride can color her or his understanding of the motives and merit of others. (Benditt 2003: 27) In this novel, Jane described 4 different kinds of marriages: Elizabeth and Darcy, Jane and Bingley, Charlotte and Collins and Lydia and Wickham. Through these four marriages, we can know that it is the four people’s different characters that lead to their different marriages. Different people had different attitudes towards marriages. So some people gained happiness while others’ marriages were just trades.Elizabeth and Darcy’s perfect marriageElizabeth and Darcy’s marriage is a perfect one. At the beginning of Pride and Prejudice, a sentence reads “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.”It not only reflects Austen’s opinion towards marriage that money is very important, but also reflects the reality of the British society at that time: money was at the first place, men played an important role in the society, but women had no position in the society. (Lu Yuna 2008: 27)In Austen’s opinion, a marriage that both had money and love is a perfect one. Elizabeth and Darcy’s marriage just coincided with Austen’s basic requirements.Elizabeth was a clever and smart girl, although she was not the most beautiful one. She was also an independent girl and always had an individual opinion, because Elizabeth was an educated girl, although she learned by herself. So education is very important to women. (Chen Chong 2009: 103)Darcy was handsome man and he seemed very noble. He was very wealthy, but he was very proud and rude in other people’s eyes. Because of the education he had in his childhood, he first ignored Elizabeth’s merits because of the social position she was in and the relatives she had. But later, he realized Elizabeth’s smart and beauty and proposed to her. But Elizabeth refused at the first time. From this, we can know that what Elizabeth valued most was the true love between people. At last, through Darcy’s efforts, Elizabeth agreed to his proposal. It was Elizabeth’s optional marriage based on her personal value that made her get the final happiness and curbed Darcy’s arrogant as well. They thus established an equal relation based on mutual understanding and respect. So their marriage was the most harmonious one in the novel.Jane and Bingley’s tortuous marriageJane was the oldest in Bennet’s family. She was the most beautiful one among her sisters. But she was shy and lack of self confidence. So she was afraid to speakout that she loved Bingley.Bingley was also very wealthy, but he was more approachable than Darcy. Similar to Jane, he was lack of courage and had no definite views of his own on his marriage. They were met on a ball. Jane was attracted by Bingley’s handsome appearance, and Bingley also indulged in Jane’s beauty. So they fell in love with each other at the first sight. Although Jane loved Bingley very much, as a lady, she never showed her love. And she was within an inch of losing such a good man. Bingley was also not a strong-minded person. Influenced by his friend Darcy and family, he left Jane. But fortunately, this couple got married at last. But in my opinion, their marriage was just based on the attraction between each other. Actually, they were lack of confidence and understanding with each other. Although this marriage appeared a happiness one, some crisis was hidden. Charlotte and Collins’s utilitarian marriageCollins was a vulgar and flashy person. In fact, he had a certain amount of servility and arrogant. Floating in the upper class, he could only see social profits in his eyes. He didn’t love anyone.Charlotte was an ordinary girl. She was a little vainglorious, that’s why she decided to marry Collins. What she wanted was just a home and a wealthy life. I think she was a representative of most women at that time. Women had no position in the society, and what they wished for was marrying a good husband and depending on their husbands. There was no love in their marriage. It was just a kind of trade. Both of them got what they want but neither of them loved their partner. The novel didn’t tell us whether their marriage was happy or not. However, there was no problem for Charlotte living a life with no worry about money.Lydia and Wickham’s ridiculous marriageLydia was the little daughter of the Bennets. She was not beautiful and clever. But she was favor in coquetting.Wickham was a low-down villain. Although he was handsome, his behavior was really bad. He used his so-called elegant demeanor to attract Lydia. In fact, he just regarded marriage as a tool to be wealthy. It quickly showed the drawbacks of the marriage without a solid foundation. Gradually, Wickham had no interest in Lydia. And Lydia could only get comfort from her sisters. Even their life had to rely on the sisters’ help. So Lydia’s marriage was just a big joke.Their marriage was totally founded on basis of passion and pleasure. In Austen’s mind, it’s a kind of unfortunate marriage. Austen thought whether the marriage was happy or not had nothing to do with people’s appearance. The most important was the characters of people. The marriage between Lydia and Wickham was just a representative one of Austen’s opinion. In Pride and Prejudice, besides the four marriages mentioned above, Jane Austen had also portrayed as Mr. Bennett, his wife and Bingley’s sister’s marriage, and Darcy's aunt Mrs. Catherine’s and his sister's view of choosing a partner. Throughthese descriptions, we can understand Austen’s attitude towards marriage. She didn’t oppose the opinion that money is very important in marriages. But at the same time, she insisted that love was the basic element for a happy marriage. Her attitude towards marriage still has some positive influence in today’s life.Work cited:[1]Benditt, Theodore M. “The Virtue of Pride: Jane Austen as Moralist”.
