英语演讲《如果没有李白》

亲爱的同学们：

上午好！我今天的分享，与一位唐代大诗人有关。请大家先来猜一猜，他可能是谁？

Dear classmates: good morning!Today I want to tell you about a great poet of the tang dynasty. Please first guess who he may be.

是的，在所有的唐代诗人中，我最崇拜的就是李白。

Yes, among all the poets of the tang dynasty, what I admire Li Baimost.

对于所有的中国人而言，哪怕你不了解古典文学，哪怕你半点不喜欢诗歌，你也会开口遇到李白，落笔碰到李白，童年邂逅李白。可是，你们想过吗？要是历史上没有李白，结果又会怎样呢？接下来，请听诗歌——如果没有李白。

For all the Chinese people, even if you don't know classical literature, even if you don't like poetry at all, you will meet Li Bai when you open up your mouth,hold up your pen, and meet him when you’re a kid. But have you ever thought about if there were no Li Bai in history? Now, please enjoy the poem “If there were no Li Bai”.

《如果没有李白》If there were no Li Bai

如果没有李白，似乎没有什么太大的影响，不过千年前少了一个文学家，《全唐诗》会变薄一点点，但程度相当有限。

If there were no Li Bai, it seems like no big deal. But a thousand years ago, we would lose a literaturist. The whole tang poetry would become a little thinner with very limited level.

如果没有李白，几乎所有唐代大诗人的地位，都会提升一档：李商隐不用再叫“小李”，王昌龄会是唐代绝句首席，杜甫会成为最伟大的诗人，没有之一。

If there were no Li Bai, all of the great poets of the tang dynasty would have their status elevated. Li Shang yin would no longer be called Junior Li. Wang Chang ling would be the chief poet of quatrains. Du Fu would be the greatest poets of all.

如果没有李白，我们应该会少背很多唐诗，少用很多成语——说童年，没有青梅竹马；说爱情，没有刻骨铭心；说享受，没有天伦之乐；说豪气，没有一掷千金。

If there were no li bai, we would memorize fewer tang poems and used fewer idioms. As for childhood, we’ll never say青梅竹马. As for love, we’ll never say刻骨铭心. As for enjoyment, we’ll never say天伦之乐. As for heroism, we’ll never say一掷千金.

如果没有李白，我们的生活应该会失去不少鼓励——犯了难，说不了“长风破浪会有时”；想辞职，说不了“我辈岂是蓬蒿人”；处逆境，说不了“天生我材必有用”；赔了钱，说不了“千金散尽还复来”。

If there were no li bai, we would have lost a lot of encouragement. Facing difficulties, we’ll never say “长风破浪会有时”.When wewant to quit , we’ll never say“我辈岂是蓬蒿人”.In adversity, we’ll never say “天生我材必有用”. Losing money, we’ll never say“千金散尽还复来”.

如果没有李白，我们熟知的神州大地也会模糊起来。我们不再知道——黄河之水哪里来？庐山瀑布有多高？燕山雪花有多大？桃花潭水有多深？蜀道究竟有多难？

If there were no li bai, the land of China as we know would be blurred. We no longer know where the water of the Yellow River comes from. How high is the Lushan waterfall. How big is the snowflake in Yanshan? How deep is the Pool of Peach blossoms. How difficult is the ShuDao Road.千百年来，蜀人以李白为蜀产，陇西人以为陇西产，山东人以为山东产。一个李白，生时无所容入，死后千百年，慕而争者无数。

For thousands of years,people think Li Bai was from Sichuan, Long xi, or Shandong. When he was alive, there was no place to live. But thousands of years after death, he has countless admirers.

他是天上星，亦是地上英；是四川人，亦是陇西人；是山东人，亦是会稽人；是浔阳人，亦是夜郎人。

He is a star in the sky, also a hero on the ground.He’s from Sichuan, also from Long xi. He’s from Shandong, also from Kuai ji. He’s from Xun yang, also from Ye lang.

幸甚至哉，我们的历史有一个李白。幸甚至哉，我们的心中有一个李白。啊，李白！你是谪仙人，你是明月魂。

Luckily, there is a Li Bai in our history.

Fortunately, there is a Li Bai in our heart.

Hi, Li Bai, you are banished immortal, you are the soul of the bright moon.
