其实，教学如果和这些孩子们所熟知的话题联系起来，就会比较容易和有效了。
一日，牛津英语5A课本上就有这么一课内容是关于孩子们比较感兴趣的“过生日”这一话题的。
（用英语来说就是“A Birthday Party”）新课开始之前，我先利用幻灯片出示了一个小朋友过生日的照片，在我的提示下，孩子们马上就高兴的唱起了英文版的Happy Birthday to You歌曲。
在接下来的模拟birthday party 中，孩子们先是用汉语说了了生日聚会中的大概四步：唱歌，许愿，吹蜡烛，吃蛋糕及其它美味食品。
然后，我就正好从吃美味食品开始引入这节课，先带领学生们复习学过的各种食品单词，然后把主要的句型“Do you want( ) or ( ),Eddie？”写在了黑板上。
练习的时候，我让学生们自由的组合词语，两人两人或一组一组操练对话。
学生们自己想出了许多食物的表达，大大超过我的想象。
通过这个环节，我发现，平时给孩子们自由表达的时间太少，孩子们有时其实是需要自由讨论的，只要能乘胜即收，别让他们太乱了。
当他们被某一个不会翻译的单词挡住时，他们可以先用汉语，然后提问老师，再获取答案后，会加深这个词给他们的印象。
这节课，学生的兴趣是比较高涨的，因为他们了解这个话题，自然就有信心去争相表达和练习。
但是，有一个问题就是，我让他们练习的形式较为单调，课堂用语中用的汉语也比较多，英语气氛不太浓。
原因是，自己没有在这个环节备充分课，没有提前想出更多的活动方式和游戏，这一点感觉挺过意不去的，没有使孩子们最大程度地感觉到快乐。
“英语月”已经开始一周多了，我期待着能真正让学生感受到英语世界的精彩。
