2015年3月14日托福阅读真题回忆机经词汇:Chaotic=disorderedCoalesce=joinDefining=importantDesignation=identificationLateral=sideRetain=preserveDomestic=householdConstantDurableAggregation第一篇:眼睛的起源考生回忆:文章开始说,眼睛只存在于多细胞动物中,但是单细胞动物可能可以感知光线的。

2015年3⽉14⽇雅思写作真题范⽂Task2: Some working parents believe childcare centers can provide best care for children, while others think other family members like grandparents can do this job. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.Sample Answer by AmyIn the past, it was quite common that kids are brought up by parents or grandparents. However, nowadays childcare centers and their services are very popular among parents who both are working and lack time to take care of their kids themselves.Advocates of childcare services believe that they are assured when their children are attended by professional caregivers in such centers. These agencies often employ well-trained staffs who know kids' need very well and provide scientific and balanced food that meets children's nutrition demand. When children get ill or injured, immediate medical help will be given on the spot, as caregivers in such places are often experienced and equipped with medical knowledge. Also, in daycare centers, kids eat, sleep and play together; therefore they learn how to get along with others at an early age. This helps them develop basic communication and social skills which will benefit them later when they attend elementary school. Despite all the obvious benefits, many families still prefer other family members like grandparents as primary caregivers for their children. This is because they have confidence in their parents doing a good job raising their children, since they have received unconditional love and attention when they were young. Also, grandparents who have plenty of spare time after retirement take great pleasure in living with grandchildren. To many people, nothing can compare with such close relationship between family members and this affection might be a forever memory for both the care receivers and caregivers. In contrast, although staff in childcare centers can develop positive relations with children initially, this relationship may not last as they often come and go frequently. Another reason is quite practical, as many families have limited budget and childcare services are quite expensive. By volunteering as caregivers grandparents help ease financial burden of their children. Personally I think grandparents can be qualified caregivers and this intimate relationship benefits them. But for those families in which both parents work and other family members are not available for help, high quality childcare centers mightmeet their needs.
