在此之前,学生已掌握部分形容词的用法。

所以,这些对学生来说并不难,学生很容易掌握。

基于上述对教材的分析,我确定本单元的教学重点为词汇、形容词比较级的构成、形容词比较级的用法。

教学难点为the comparatives with –er/ier and more的结构及读音,能在交际中准确地运用本单元的话题对自己与他人进行描述,作出比较并进行判断。

二、学情分析
在初一时学生学习了个人外貌和性格的表达,弹奏乐器的表达,为本单元个性比较的表达奠定了基础。在1c中出现了反义疑问句,但不是本单元的重点,学生只需了解意思,就行。学生在这节课中,可能出现下列一般疑问句语调错误,所以需要跟读录音。本单元的第一节课只需对结构初步的感性认识,初步了解比较级的概念,和模仿例句用基本词汇表达比较级,所以这对学生来说不难。这个班是覃老师带的,在她的课堂上,学生比较活跃,明天她在场,我相信学生会很好的表现给她看的。

二、教学背景分析(一)教学内容分析注:含本课时在本单元的教学定位分析Unit3以“What were you doing when the UFO arrived”为课题,谈论过去其中一时刻正在发生的动作或状态。

如何在各项语言实践中正确使用过去进行时态是本单元的重、难点。

本课是Unit3的第一课时,围绕着UFO到达时人物在做什么这一话题展开,主要通过听说形式让学生初步学习、应用过去进行时态,让学生能使用这一时态表述在过去其中一时刻正在发生的事情或状态,从而为本单元接下来的语言教学打下基础。

知识点拨▲形容词和副词的比较级形容词和副词有三个级别:原级,比较级和最高级。

语法巧记口诀:原级和比较级的用法原级是基础,用法不特殊。

记住几个词:so,rather,quite,very;中间加原级,as…as不难记;not so…as,汉语是“不如……”。

形和副有三级,原级、比较和最高;两者要用比较级,三者要用最高级;比较级要牢记,than出现是标志;even,much还有far,a little和a lot,后面比较错不了;两个比较相连用,有时前面加上the。

比较级变化规则比较级,要变化,一般词尾加-er;(long—longer)词尾若有哑音e,直接加-r就可以;(nice—nicer)重读闭音节,单辅音字母要双写;(hot—hotter)辅音字母若加-y,记得把y变为i。

4.播放第三遍录音,要求学生逐句跟读,注意语音、语调的同时订正答案。

5.听力内容巩固训练。

要求学生根据所听到的内容完成一个小练习。

完成后要求若干学生给出自己的答案,以巩固对听力内容的了解。

6.大声朗读听力材料。

7.播放听力材料,要求学生模仿听力内容,利用2c的信息分角色进行对话练习。

然后邀请2-3对同学当堂演示,选出表现最佳的一组。

设计意图:将听、说、读、写的任务结合起来锻炼了学生对语言的综合运用能力,也巩固了学生对目标语言的学习、识记和运用。

Step 4完成教材2d的任务【操作案例】1.首先让学生听2d部分的录音,然后让学生跟读录音。

2.让学生模仿录音在小组内练习。

3.邀请几组同学上台表演,根据情况的不同给每个小组适当的奖励。

4.让学生根据在班内或者是在学校内举行的比赛编新的对话。

然后让几个小组上台表演,选出最佳小组。

设计意图:通过这一环节的听、说训练让学生对这节课的目标语言有了更深的了解,并且从一定程度上有了创新,让学生达到学以致用的效果。

▲ as…as…的用法表示“和……一样……”,第一个as是副词,第二个as是连词,两个as中间用形容词或副词的原级。
