三、教材分析:
(1)教材内容:
本节课是Go for it七年级下册中Unit9 What does he look like? 的第一课时。

其核心话题是立足于人的外貌特点,谈论人的外表形象,让学生学会运用所学知识来对人的身高、体重、发型等进行描述。

(2)教材的地位及作用
本节课的教学内容来源于生活,立足于生活,它主要是以人的外貌特征为主线,以一种循序渐进、由浅入深的学习程序来展开英语教学,其主要目的是通过激趣来引发学生能运用英语来进行交流,能运用英语来描述自己或他人的外貌特征。

(1)、加强中西方文化知识的渗透,了解文化背景的不同决定了在同一个
事物表达观点上差异的存在——我们比较委婉,而西方人则更直接。

(2)、提高学生赏美能力和审美能力,在掌握外貌描述的知识背景下,实
现跨学科的交流。

四、教学重难点及突破方法:
教学重点: 掌握本课新单词和句型及怎样描述一个人的外貌。

突破方法:
(1)、充分利用多媒体,图片、简笔画等进行语言操练和实践,让学生掌握
关于描述人外貌特征的词汇和句型。

(2)、通过师生互动和生生互动,掌握句型What does he / she look like ?
结构的运用。

教学难点:
(1)新词汇的运用,特别是has与is的正确使用,是本节课的一个难点。

(2)掌握描述人物外貌的方法。

突破方法:
发挥教师良好的示范作用,注重教师在课堂教学中对学生无意识的影响,通过各种操练,使用交际用语,形成良好的学习氛围,培养学生良好的语言表达习惯。

五、学生分析:
本节课的教学对象是七年级学生,虽已有一定的英语语言基础,但由于大部分都来自于农村,在课堂上还是不太自信,积极主动性较差,表现欲望也不强。

因此为了激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使其树立自信心,在教学中,要充分利用多媒体,课件、卡纸、图片、简笔画等教学资源来进行语言操练和实践,让学生更直观地感受英语,学习英语,运用英语,使其感受到英语的魅力无处不在。

六、教学方法和学习策略
1. 教学方法:
(1)情景交际法:本节课的话题源于生活,以充分利用学生已有的知识和经验为契机,创设生活化的真实情境,引导学生在运用中学习语言,在学习后更能创造性地使用语言(为用而学,在用中学,在学后用)。

(2)任务型语言教学法:设计多种由易到难的任务活动,提供给学生合作交流的空间和时间,促使学生间地合作探究,让其享受到成功的喜悦,从而树立其自信。

(3)开放性教学策略:教师要开放性地处理教材,结合教材插入学生感兴趣的图片、简笔画及视频等,丰富学生知识,拓宽他们视野,实现知识的整合。

2.学习策略
(1)自主学习:要求学生采用自主学习的方式,能根据需要进行有目的预习。

(如:在课前搜集有关人物外表的词汇如:身高、身材、年龄、头发颜色,长度及发型等词语和长相不同的男女人物照片、图片,使其对教师的教学内容起补充作用。

(2)合作学习:在完成任务的活动中让学生们形成合作学习和探究学习的学习方式,引导学生积极思考,善于抓住英语交流的机会。

在活动中相互探讨、相互交流、相互合作,从而获得知识、技能和情感体验,发展他们的能力。

(3)通过绘画、猜明星、寻人启事等一系列活动设计,激发学生的学习热情,培养他们的观察能力、审美能力、概括能力和推理能力,使他们自己的主观能动性得到充分的体现,把被动的学习变为主动学习。

(4)把网络学习资源、课内资源和学生所查找的课外资源有机的结合起来,运用所学内容进行真实的情景交际,巩固并提高课堂效力。

七. 教学设计:
Step I Leading-in
Show a photo of the teacher’s family and describe about their height / build / hair styles . Let students understand the words in the class . e g: short /long/ no hair ; tall / short / medium height ; fat ( heavy)/ thin / medium build.
(设计意图:1、用老师家庭照片导入目的是为了拉近师学间的距离,建立平等的学习关系,提高学习英语的英趣,建立一个良好的学习氛围。

2、提高学生的家庭观念,使其更热爱自己的父毌,热爱自己的家庭,为后面描述人物外貌特征的学习做好过渡,为描述家人的外貌活动的作业作好铺垫。

) Step II Presentation:
Play the game : I have a dream .
1、On the photo of family ,point out the teacher wants to have a new
look and asks students to choose a hairstyle to fit .Teach some new knowledge a bout hairstyle and write them on the Bb:
What does she/ he look like?
She / He has short hair / straight hair / curly hair / long hair .
2、Let students design new hairstyle, then tell students the teacher ’s choice : “I want to h ave the same hairstyle as Zhao Wei.” Finally show the photo of Zhao Wei, then practi ce and point :
What does she look like ?
She has beautiful long straight black hair .
