看完战争电影过后对和平的看法英语作文Peace After the War Movie
The other day, my class went on a field trip to the movie theater to watch a film about World War II. I had heard a little bit about the war from my history lessons, but I didn't really understand what it was all about until I saw the movie. It was so sad seeing all the fighting, the soldiers getting hurt and killed, and the people suffering. By the end of the movie, I felt really upset and confused about why wars even happen in the first place.
On the bus ride back to school, I asked my teacher "Why do countries go to war with each other? Doesn't anyone realize how terrible and destructive it is?" My teacher explained that wars usually start because of disagreements between nations over things like land, resources, and power. Sometimes leaders think fighting is the only way to get what they want. But she said that most people, even the soldiers, don't actually want war – they just end up following orders.
I still don't really get it though. If everyone knows war causes so much pain and suffering for millions of innocent people, why do they let it happen? Couldn't the leaders of countries just talk
things out and find a peaceful solution instead of sending people to kill each other? To me, it seems like the only ones who really benefit from war are the weapons manufacturers. Everyone else just loses their homes, gets injured or dies, or has to live in fear and misery. Even the soldiers who survive have to deal with horrible memories and injuries for the rest of their lives.
I feel so lucky that I was born after the world wars and live in
a peaceful country now. I can't imagine having to leave my home and my family, not knowing if I would ever see them again or even survive. Seeing the kids in the movie getting separated from their parents, losing everything they had, and living in shelters made me realize how fortunate I am. I get to go to school, play outside, and feel safe every day without worrying about bombs or soldiers destroying my neighborhood. My biggest concerns are things like finishing my homework and deciding what game to play with my friends.
After watching the devastation of war on the screen, I have such an appreciation for peace. I think every leader and every person should see movies like that so they never want to let something so horrible happen again. Maybe if they could experience it, even just through a film, they would finally understand how cruel and pointless war really is. There's no way
the reasons they go to war could be worth causing millions of deaths and so much long-lasting trauma.
I hope that when I grow up, the world will be even more peaceful than it is now. I want to live in a world where countries are friends, not enemies always on the brink of fighting each other. A world where the leaders really listen to their citizens who just want to live in safety instead of risking their lives over conflicts. A world where problems get resolved through diplomacy and compromise, not violence. A world where kids everywhere can have happy, carefree childhoods without the shadow of war looming over them.
I may only be a kid, but I know from watching that movie how awful and inhumane war is. I don't think anyone who witnessed its realities firsthand could ever want to experience it again. I'm sure the soldiers and civilians who lived through those times feel the same way – they just wanted the nightmare to end so they could go home and live in peace. You could see the desperation and sadness in their eyes as their homes and communities were destroyed around them. It seemed like the tiniest glimmer of hope for peace was enough to keep them going through those dark times.
So that's my perspective after seeing a war movie for the first time: Peace is precious, irreplaceable, and worth fighting for –but not with weapons and violence. The only way to stop the cycle of hatred and bloodshed is by resolving conflicts through words, understanding each other's perspectives, and making compromises where everyone's needs are respected. An eye for an eye and fighting fire with fire will only leave the world blind and burnt. We have to find more enlightened solutions if we want to achieve true, lasting peace.。
