As a kid, that's no biggie to me really. I'm used to being sweaty and gross. But I know a lot of adults, especially those who have to go to an office or professional setting, really hate rolling up completely drenched and disheveled. It can be pretty
embarrassing and uncomfortable. You've pretty much got to pack a change of clothes, towel, and shower supplies.
The Verdict
So those are some of the main pros and cons of bikes in my opinion. When you stack it all up, I think the positives of biking definitely outweigh the negatives for the most part.
The health benefits, cost savings, environmental pluses, and sheer fun factor are just so valuable. But you do have to accept the safety risks, limitations, work involved, and inevitably showing up sweaty sometimes as the trade-offs.
For me personally, I'm still going to stick to my bike as my main transportation for now while I'm kid. Once I get older, have a job, and need to commute longer distances regularly, a car will probably be a must. But I'll definitely keep biking as a hobby and try to incorporate it into my weekly routine no matter what.
