It delivers a wide spectral output ranging from 410nm to 2400nm with up to 4W total power. SC-Pro is a short pulse, MHz repetition rate source based on MOPA architecture providing excellent reliability and lifetime. Countermeasure against static electricity-Handling of this product needs countermeasures against static electricity because this is a semiconductor product.-Please take adequate measures to prevent any static electricity being produced such as the wearing of a wristband oranti-static gloves when handling this product.-Every manufacturing facility in regard to the product (plant, equipment, machine, carrier machine and conveyance unit)should be connected to ground and please avoid the product to be electric-charged.-ESD sensitivity of this product is over 1,000V (HBM, based on JEITA ED-4701/304).-After assembling the LEDs into your final product(s), it is recommended to check whether the assembled LEDs aredamaged by static electricity (electrical leak phenomenon) or not.-It is easy to find static damaged LED dies by a light-on test with the minimum current value.7-3. Caution of product assembly-Regarding this product assembling on the heat sink, it is recommended to use M3 screw.It might be good for screw tightening on the heat sink to do temporary tightening and final tightening.In addition, please don’t press with excess stress on the product.-The condition of the product assembling on the heat sink and the control of screw tightening torque needs to be optimized according to the specification of the heat sink.-Roughness, unevenness and burr of surface negatively impact thermal bonding between the product and heat sink andincrease heat thermal resistance between them.Confidence of thermally and mechanical coupling between the product and heat sink are confirmed by checkingthe mounting surface and measuring the case temperature of the product.-In order to reduce the thermal resistance at assembly, it might be good to use TIM (Thermal Interface Material) on whole contact surface of the product.In case of using thermal grease for the TIM, it might be good to apply uniformly on the contact surface of the product.In case of using thermal sheet for the TIM, it might be good to make sure that the product is NOT strained by stress when the screws are tightened for assembly.-For more information, please refer to application note "Instruction Manual(COB LED Package)".7-4. Thermal Design-The thermal design to draw heat away from the LED junction is most critical parameter for an LED illumination system. High operating temperatures at the LED junction adversely affect the performance of LED’s light output and lifetime. Therefore the LED junction temperature should not exceed the absolute maximum rating in LED illumination system. -The LED junction temperature while operation of LED illumination system depends upon thermal resistance of internal LED package (Rj-c), outer thermal resistances of LED package, power loss and ambient temperature. Please take both of the thermal design specifications and ambient temperature conditions into consideration for the setting of driving conditions.-For more information, please refer to application note "Thermal Management", "Instruction Manual(COB LED Package)".7-5. Driving Current-A constant current is recommended as an applying driving current to this product.In the case of constant voltage driving, please connect current-limiting resistor to each products in series and control the driving current to keep under the absolute maximum rating forward current value.-Electrical transient might apply excess voltage, excess current and reverse voltage to the product(s).They also affect negative impact on the product(s) therefore please make sure that no excess voltage, no excess current and no reverse voltage is applied to the product(s) when the LED driver is turn-on and/or turn-off.-For more information, please refer to application note "Driving", "Instruction Manual(COB LED Package)".7-6. Lighting at a minimum current value-A minimum current value of lighting of all dice is 15mA.When a minimum current is applied, LED dice may look different in their brightness due to the individual difference of the LED element, and it is not a failed product.7-7. Electrical Safety-This product is designed and produced according to IEC 62031:2008(IEC 62031:2008 LED modules for general lighting. Safety specification)-Dielectric voltage withstand test has been conducted on this product to see any failure after applyingvoltage between active pads and aluminum section of the product, and to pass at least 500V.-Considering conformity assessment for IEC62031:2008, almost all items of the specification depend uponyour final product of LED illumination system.Therefore, please confirm with your final product for electrical safety of your product.As well, the products comply with the criteria of IEC62031:2008 as single LED package.- A minimum current value of lighting of all dice is 40 mA. With a design focused on form, color, beam field and output, SkyPanel representsthe culmination of more than a decade of research and development of LED technology at ARRI.SkyPanel is available in several sizes: the S30, S60, S120, and S360. Plug the other end into a power source.4.If using a color or heat filter, insert into the bezel (3), or filter holder (5) with the coating side towards the lamp – remove any protective plastic from the filter(s) before installing.5. This is normal, and does not affect performance.Lamp IntensityIn the world of filament lamps, halogen lamps are by far the most consistent, but even halogen lamps degrade over their lifetime, most by an average of 15%. Furthermore, all lamps are not created equal. As proven by independent research, new lamps, of the same brand and model number, may vary +/- 20% in maximum intensity, depending on the batch. Special Note:Under normal conditions, lamp manufacturers recommend halogen lamps be operated above 80% of their rated intensity for optimum and stable lamp performance.CAUTIONTO REDUCE THERISK OF FIRE – USE 150 WATT ORSMALLER, 21 VOLT TYPEHALOGEN LAMP or equivalent.See Callout B for lamp type.Lamp Replacement1. Finger prints may affect the light output.BFuse ReplacementUnder normal use, the fuse should not require replacement. The purpose of the fuse is to protect the electronics from failure due to current inrush. Should it become necessary to change the fuse, replace with the same type (2,5 amp/slow blow) to insure long life and performance.CleaningThe aluminum housing, front and back plates have a durable finish that should retain their original luster for many years. Cleaning the exposed areas with a commercial glass cleaner or common household detergent will help maintain the finish.Unplug and remove the power cord from the lEC connector on the back of the unit. Wipe the exposed areas of the housing and front and back plates with a soft cloth or paper towel moistened with general purpose cleaner.CAUTION: Do not use excess water, treated cloth, harsh cleaning agents or sprays. Use cleaning fluid sparingly. If fluid spills into the interior, let the unit dry thoroughly before using.Periodically, dust should be removed from the unit using a vacuum or commerciallyavailable cans of compressed air. Pay special attention to the fan blades at the rear of the unit, the air vents in the front (around the bezel), and on the bottom of the main housing.Use of FiltersAll Meiji light source models accept the use of 1” diameter filters. We recommend dichroic filters for long life and fade resistant performance.Seldom or intermittently used filters should be installed in the filter holder, with the coated side facing the lamp. If an IR filter is to be used, install the IR filter in the bezel, coated side facing the lamp. Then install the adapter. You may wish to install a colored filter (such as a daylight filter) with the IR filter in the bezel, rather than use the filter holder accessory. All additional filters installed in the bezel should be installed after the IR filter.Some filters may be supplied with a protective plastic film covering the coating. BE SURE TO REMOVE THE FILM BEFORE USE!TroubleshootingIf you are unsuccessful at resolving the following conditions, contact your supplier for a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Do not attempt to repair the Meiji light source. NEVER enclose the Meiji light source without adequate ventilation.Fan operates, but the light turns briefly on and then off.1. The lamp may have a faulty filament. Turn the intensity control knob to maximum settingto test the lamp.2. If the lamp fails, change the lamp following the instructions in this manual.3. Examine the lamp socket assembly for damage and continuity.Fan does not operate, light is dim or non-existent.Make sure to use the correct model for the power available. Running a 240V unit in120/100 volt conditions will stop the fan and dim the lamp.Fan operates, light is not on.Replace the lamp.Fan does not operate, light is on.Return to supplier or service provider.Fan and lamp are not working.Make sure the power cord is inserted completely into the IEC connector and also into the correct power source. The safety switch cuts power to the lamp and fan while the lamp drawer cover is open.Fiber input is burning.Check the fiber type…it may be plastic and susceptible to burning, even with the use of a standard IR heat mirror.Ask your supplier about the epoxy used to manufacture the fiber optic input…some epoxy types cannot withstand the high temperatures developed in the Meiji light source.Check the lamp type. Replace the lamp following the guidelines listed in a chart elsewhere in this manual. Use an IR filter if possible. Plug in the lights and you are ready to shoot. Note: The Aura light fixtures are also lightweight and compact enough to use in a variety of other mounting situations when there is not enough room to use a light stand. They can be attached to an available shelf or wall, for example, using an articulating arm/mini clamp combination or a suction cup mount. Because they run very cool, they can also be handheld by an assistant when needed.Safe Handling & Efficient Use Of Aura Lights• Avoid turning lights off and on more than necessary during use as this will reduce lamp life.• Turn off other lights indoors when shooting in order to avoid effects on overall color temperature in your shots.• Use fixtures only with specified voltage and frequency ratings.• Avoid pulling the power cord to unplug or move the light fixture.• Do not insert metal objects into the cooling grill holes on back of fixture.• Make sure power is disconnected when changing light fuses and replacing bulbs.• Discontinue use of the light fixtures if they become damaged. If only the bulb is damaged it can be replaced. Otherwise, the lights should be professionally repaired or discarded.• Do not expose lights to dripping or splashing water and do not use in wet environments.1) Wait for the bulbs to cool if they have been in use and disconnect the power cord from power source.2) Remove the plastic buckle clip (15) holding the far end of the bulbs in place. To do this, using two hands, carefully lift both sides of the buckle clip at the same time, up and outwards, away from the bulb and the lower half of the buckle fixture (16).3) Remove the bulb from the lamp socket at the other end of the fixture (17) and discard safely. Fit the new bulb into the lamp socket, applying a light pressure to make sure it is seated properly in the socket and fitting the bulb into the buckle at the other end.4) Slide the buckle clip back on top of the bulb, snapping it to the bottom half of the buckle fixture. Start using your Aura light once again.1) Disconnect the light fixture’s power cord from power source.2) Unscrew the FUSE twist knob on the back of the unit (14) and pull out the existing worn out fuse. Install one of the replacement fuses provided in the light kit by sliding it into the fuse socket. Rescrew the FUSE knob tightly.
