Lesson 24 It could be worse知识清单I entered the hotel manager's office and sat down. I had just lost£50 and I felt very upset. 'I left the money in my room,' I said, 'and it's not there now.' The manager was sympathetic, but he could do nothing. 'Everyone's losing money these days,' he said. He started to complain about this wicked world but was interrupted by a knock at the door. A girl came in and put an envelope on his desk. It contained £50. 'I found this outside this gentleman's room,' she said. 'Well,' I said to the manager, 'there is still some honesty in this world!'不幸中之万幸我走进饭店经理的办公室,坐了下来。

②人称代词的分类及用法英语中代词的顺序You, he and I We, you and they表示泛指的主格代词One作不定代词,意思是任何人。

例句:One should always try to help people. 一个人应该总是试图帮助别人。

We, you, they也可泛指例句:We/You/One should never lose heart in face of difficulties. 在困难面前人们决不能灰心泄气。

They say=People say或It is said据说。

例句:They say it is going to be a cold winter. 据说今年冬季会很冷。
